Excellent food. Try the paella and alambre (skewers). Love this restaurant . Classy surroundings and great service!

This evening, we noodle-d our way into Kissaten Ramen, and let me just say--it wonton my heart. From the very first bite, it was clear: this place isn't just good, it's broth-taking. We started with the crab Rangoons, which were so crispy and creamy, I almost soy-ed myself with joy. Then came the dumplings--perfectly pan-fried parcels of happiness that had us dumpling with excitement. Honestly, they should come with a warning label: may cause cravings. But the star of the show? The spicy miso ramen. Rich, savory, and just the right amount of heat--it was un-pho-gettable (yes, I know it's ramen, but let me simmer in my pun). The noodles had the perfect al dente bounce, the broth was miso good, and each spoonful was a warm hug in a bowl. Kissaten Ramen didn't just serve food--it served up soul-fulfilling slurps. I'm already ramen-ticizing my next visit. 10/10 would noodle again.

Always a great option for lunch or dinner! Their lunch special is still a nice sized portion but also includes soup and an egg roll. Lovely customer service, delicious tastes and consistent flavors.

We'd heard good reviews on this restaurant but really didn't know it was there as we don't ever drive down that street even though we are quite often on County Line Road near the mall. I'm glad we did find out about it as we had dinner there last night. We had a reservation just to be sure we got a seat as it's a small dining room and got seated right away. It's a cozy little place and the menu looked amazing. There were so many choices. The server was friendly and efficient. We started with pork gyoza dumplings to share. They were hot and delicious. I ordered mild pork miso ramen and it look amazing and tasted so good. We'll definitely return and want to try their lunch menu. We've heard it's very good.

Split the kids chicken and side of rice between 2 kids. Added some ramen noodles from our meal too.

Great flavor and friendly staff. They were accommodating for our kids and it's a calm environment with enjoyable music playing in the background.

A friend had suggested we try KISSATEN for the first time. Like always, checked the YELP reviews and they were positive. Wow! This city has so so many little gems hidden within its neighborhoods, and KISSATEN IS ONE OF THOSE JEWELS. They offer a wide variety of Japanese Asian fusion dishes. Staff were very welcoming and helpful in menu suggestions. The restaurant is a small cozy and immaculate space but sufficiently roomy. We ordered pork gyoza dumplings that were served steaming hot and larger than most. They were very flavorful. I ordered a bowl of Pho Tai which was one of the best I have had. My wife had the Miso Ramen which was so very well flavored. The portions are huge and the price is very economical. My first impression was just how fresh the ingredients were in the dishes. We were both happy we found this place from a suggestion. We were both be back frequently.

Why three stars? Easy going place. I had the chicken pho. It's made in beef broth. I didn't think it was bad but nothing exceptional. Wanted more chicken but I read too late (it's a 3 usd extra charge). Service could be better BUT she was new and as such demure. Got the post lunch green tea (tea bad, not tea leaves) order wrong and brought me coffee instead. Would I return ? Maybe.

One of the best Asian restaurants on the south side. I've had half the menu and everything is good. The best thing is the lemon pepper wings. I also love the tomato spaghetti, ramen, chow mein, and fried rice. Everything is good here. There is peaceful music playing and it's never super busy so it's a calm and relaxing experience. The food comes out quick. Lunch specials are a great price and huge portions.

Service was friendly and attentive. Food was just okay. No other customers when we arrived at 5p, but quickly filled up. They have a large menu with a lot of variety. Something for everyone, including a kids menu.

    Ramen

My husband was looking for some ramen and a quick Yelp search brought us here. Tucked into a corner of a strip plaza and near a couple of ethic grocery stores and a run down looking vape shop I wasn't sure we were going to enjoy this place but we've found you really never know so we went for it. The interior is small and cozy and nothing fancy. We arrived at 2pm on a Friday for a late lunch. Luckily their lunch menu runs until 2:30 so I was able to order off of it. My husband ordered a pork ramen dish off of the regular menu that he hadn't had before where the broth came separately. He enjoyed it but wished it was server hotter than it was. I don't recall the name of it. I ordered the lunch version of the pad Thai, medium heat with chicken. It came with mushroom Tom yum soup and a spring roll. All for $10! Being a restaurant that served what looked like a variety of foods I wasn't sure what to expect of their pad thai but I'm not a fan of ramen and didn't feel like fried rice or general Tso, or pho. The mushroom soup that came with my lunch was a bowl of complex flavors. When you got a mushroom in a bite it was the main flavor, a bite of just broth was rich and savory, a bite with cilantro morphed the flavor yet again... and be ready for some heat, it packed a bit of punch. Now for the pad Thai.. the star of the show... yum! Thinner noodles than I usually see for pad thai, it was a little different eating experience however the flavor was there. At first I thought they missed the heat level and I got mild but after the heat from the soup wore off I realized that it also had some heat, although less than the soup brought to the tongue. While most places I've had pad thai use chili flakes or oil, they use peppers which I eventually saw a few pieces of. The portion was what I'm used to seeing for dinner at other places and then the added soup and spring roll, I took a small box home. They didn't skimp on peanuts, which I loved. My husband agreed that while his ramen was good, he really liked the pad thai better and said I won in the meal choice today. The fried spring roll that came with it was a nice crunchy addition to the meal but just your average roll. If we find ourselves back in the area again during meal time I would visit again.

We decided to try somewhere new for lunch and saw great reviews for Kissaten online. The server was very friendly. I ordered the Miso Ramen which comes with fried rice as well. The food was delicious. It was very flavorful and filling. I had to end up getting a box to go. The price is great for amount of food too!

Located in the shopping center across from the Greenwood Park Mall, is this yummy Japanese restaurant. They have plenty of lot parking. The decor is very modest and laid back. The staff were super friendly and quick to help. I ordered a Thai milk tea to drink. I got the Tantanmensen Ramen for an entree which came with a fried rice side. The ramen was delicious! It was very filling and I'd definitely come back to try other options!

First off, I got the spicy teriyaki chicken bowl (regular size), and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was packed with flavor. The portion size was more than fair for the price around $10.99 for the combo and it genuinely felt like you're getting your money's worth. The chicken was cooked perfectly, the sauce had just the right kick, and everything was fresh. I also grabbed an egg roll on the side (not included in the combo), and it was 100% worth it great size, crispy, and just done right. Now I'll be honest, I usually don't go for yakisoba noodles, but the co-owner, Brandy, insisted I try them. She had my girlfriend get rice so we could swap and compare, and I'm glad we did because both were seriously amazing. I'd go back for either one without hesitation. But what really made this experience stand out wasn't just the food it was the service. Brandy is hands down one of the most welcoming and genuine people I've ever met in the service industry, and I've been in it myself for over 7.5 years. The way she greeted us, asked if it was our first time, explained things, and just kept such a positive, upbeat energy the whole time it made a huge difference. She even came by to check on us while we were eating, which you barely see anymore unless you're at a sit-down restaurant and even then, some places don't do it well. She absolutely nailed it. If that's the level of care and energy she brings as a co-owner, I can only imagine how strong her team is. She sets the tone, and it shows. Overall, this place gets 5 stars across the board from me honestly, if I could give 10, I would give 12. And Brandy? 10 stars easy. She's doing everything right and deserves all the recognition. You can tell she truly cares, and that kind of effort doesn't go unnoticed. Thank you again, Brandy you're amazing at what you do. Keep being you. Your team is lucky to have you, and you're definitely setting the standard. - Gio & Marissa (the guy with the health & life science hat, you know who this is!)
