Spring roll, grilled pork and sausage vermicelli bowl $16.50
    Amanda L.

Stopped by for lunch at this newer pho place in Aurora. I liked that they had alot of variety of dishes to choose from and bahn mi's which you don't see that often in the aurora area. I opted for the grilled pork, sausage and spring roll vermicelli bowl and a pork bahn mi. Both items were delicious. The grilled pork was sweet and very flavourful with a slight char from the grill. The sauce was delicious as usual with a lemon grass favour. The spring roll was great! It was nice to see them using a different type of wrapper for the roll - which made the roll more puffy. The bahn mi was good with the different types of meat and pickled vegetables. I look forward to trying their other items. Their service was quick and efficient - perfect for a mid work lunch stop.

This was a decent pho spot but it tasted pretty average and was priced higher than other Vietnamese restaurants. I ordered a large bowl of Brisket Pho, and what I received was a cut of meat that tasted more like regular sliced beef than brisket. There was nothing special about the broth, it was rich from the beef but it was pretty bland. I was able to add more flavour with chilli oil, sriracha and hoisin sauce, but even then it was lacking in seasoning. The portion was great, the noodles were nice and chewy and the meat was very tender. The food was served very quickly and came out piping hot, I had to wait about 10 minutes before I could dig in. The restaurant is pretty big and has lots of seating, but I wished the lights were a little dimmer for the evening dining. I probably won't come back to this restaurant because I've had way better Vietnamese meals, but it certainly wasn't a bad meal.

We were excited to see this new Pho restaurant opened up here in Aurora. This place has a lot of competitions! Out of my head I think I can name at least 8-9 other Pho restaurants in town. But we do love the location here being super convenient beside T&T. The salad rolls were fresh and flavorful. Large pho felt a bit smaller than other large in the area. No harm in adding more noodles, pho noodles are usually packaged ones, no? The vermicelli was very tasty and I think it saved the day in the meal experience. Service was ok considering service looks unexperienced and was quite busy. We'll be back again soon to give it another shot. But like I said, lots of competition in the area, and I'm not feeling anything stands out at the moment.

Newly opened Vietnamese Restaurant in Aurora (near Bayview/St. John's Sideroad) in T&T plaza. Family had thPho Beef Special Noodle soup, Pork chop rice with fried egg and Grilled Chicken with Spring Rolls. Food was very good and a warm comfort on a cold winter night. Definitely coming back and so happy we have another great option here in Aurora.

3/3 takeouts all 3 had issues. $12 A10 butter wings: 3 mini drum sticks and 3 winglets. No smiles from anyone. No enthusiasm in sevice. :(

Did 3 takeout orders in 2 weeks. We were so excited for this place. Unless the service quality consistency and order + takeout accuracy improves and stay good, their grand opening hype will wear off overtime and lose customers that know or discovers Noodle Max only 1-2 minutes drive away with more noodle soup options, hand made options + consistent and quality service in restaurant + takeout. Even now having this place almost next door, we will be driving to or getting Pho from Pho Anh Vu (3-4 times the meat on items such as P12/Bún bò Huế/Pho Dac Biet) in Richmond Hill instead that's 15 minutes away, or Noodle Max just 1-2 minutes South (with cool side dishes like their damn tender, flavourful and juicy pork sandwiches - Pork Mo). Bad management (1/5), bad service (1/5). Decent food (3.5/5 quality), bad menu options (HALF of the Pho: soup based noodle menu are RAW/RARE beef). For anyone that just want a regular noodle soup with beef slices of some kind, there is literally only 1 option: P01. All the other fancy meat options are combo together with RARE/RAW meat. Ordered 3 takeouts from this place in 2 weeks. We REALLY wanted to like this place, as did our friends. 1st takeout, mixed up order, ordered P01 and P12, and the regular beef P01 became P12. Was decent. Meat is a lot less than Richmond Hill locations like Pho Anh Vu, which have Pho Dac Biet, same as P12, but with 3-4 times the amount of meat. 15 minutes drive south. Okay, they were busy. Bad luck. 2nd takeout, tried again, get 2 separate packed orders... P01 in one bag and P12 in 1 bag....NO way they can mess this up now right? P12 spicy soup end up packed with P01 which end up having 2 times the amount of meat as the P12. ????? Okay, maybe bad luck. But when picking up 1st + 2nd time, the server (some young guy) seemed so clueless, and smiled 0 times, and generally acted as if it is a privilege for us to be ordering food from them. Okay, maybe they just hired some high school kids with little experience or maturity. Bad luck. 3rd takeout on Feb 18th around 2PM, on the phone, the guy said our order will take MINIMUM 40 MINUTES before we can come pick it up, and if that is okay... okay, we ordered. At the end he warned again saying that it will take minimum 40 minutes, so come after that. Okay, got there at 40 minutes.... seating was maybe 80-90% full, but takeouts only 3-4 bags laying around, and these 3-4 servers were just standing awkwardly together behind the cashier area, not serving anyone, packing anything, or busy with anything. OBVIOUSLY NOT BUSY like grand opening day so why made me wait 40 minutes??? Twice as long as grand opening day??? What kind of service is this? No one walking around asking if people want extra napkins? No one walking around checking tea, drinks, asking how people's food are? All 3-4 people just suddenly acting clueless when I said im here to pick up and gave both the order's details: P04 + P07, and last 4 digits phone number. The manager hurries around checking each bag.... then later seem to mumble something about a guy getting some numbers wrong. Why spend minimum wage hiring 4 staff that have no experience or motivation to work or get things right when you can pay 2 staff twice the wage to do things right and not turn people away to your biggest competitor in the area: Noodle Max, literally 1-2 minutes drive south on the same street??? Why isn't management teaching these kids and directing them to serve? Instead of telling customers to come after 40 minutes then hang around standing together doing nothing, if noodles finish in 20 minutes, give the customer a call let them know it's out early? How would they like to be treated this way if they were ordering food? Why wait until customer is at home with the RARE beef and pouring out warm soup for them to find out only then that it's probably been sitting at the restaurant for pickup for probably at least 20 minutes??? I find this really disrespectful for customers. It's been 3 times. Noodle Max over past year had 0 times service like this, and they got 10x the amount of none- RARE/ RAW meet soup based noodles menu, with customizable thickness of noodles that they make fresh. If you want to compete, you MUST IMPROVE SERVICE QUALITY AND CONSISTENCY. People eating in maybe get a better experience, but when you fail takeout so many times and waste people's time and money so many times, they will go to your competitors. Please also consider updating your online menu images such as on Google, with something similar to the menu you have in the restaurant, so that people can see what different stuff looks like. Please also consider adding at least 1 other Pho noodle soup option that has COOKED beef of different kinds. We ordered wings and chicken fried rice as sides too 1st time to try it all... wings were literally 6 pieces as in 3 mini drumsticks and 3 mini winglets... for around $12..maybe just mistake due to being busy. yeah. Gonna skip in the near future.

The broth is light but incredibly flavorful and complex. The large size is pretty filling and comes with a generous amount of toppings (I usually get rare beef and beef balls). They also have a small size, which I think makes a good lunch size, and extra large size, which I haven't tried yet. Along with the pho they provide a plate of bean sprouts, basil, lime, and chili peppers. I've also gotten their shrimp rolls that I really enjoy. They come well wrapped (nobody wants a shrimp roll that falls apart) and taste very fresh and light. The peanut sauce that accompanies the rolls is delicious too! The service is always very pleasant and polite. They're attentive and quick whenever I need anything like refilling a drink. Inside the restaurant is modern and kept very clean, while tables are well stocked with serve-your-own chopsticks, spoons, and sauces. Overall, I can't say enough about Pho Fusion. I absolutely love their pho soup, making it my family's 'go to' pho restaurant!

A couple of Wednesdays ago, after work, I had an early dinner at this Pho Anh Vu on Highway 7 in Vaughan, between Keele and Jane streets. I have passed by this eatery a number of times since it opened. It was time to check it out. This location used to be Veg Italiano. There used to be a pho place a few doors down. It is now a Turkish eatery. This small plaza does have some turnover. However, the Turkish place and this eatery have been here for at least a couple of years. I hope they remain. I got here at around 3:30 pm. I had no problem finding a parking spot. I backed into a vacant one and walked in. I was immediately greeted by a male staffer. I got to sit wherever I wanted. I chose a booth by the window. I got menus to peruse. There were two other tables with customers. It was nice. Hot tea came to me with two cups. The hot tea was exceptionally piping hot. I used both cups to pour tea into them and let them cool. I was ready to order. It took a long time to get a server to come over. The woman at the counter noticed that I was ready and flagged the male server to take my order. I got these items: - Soda lemonade - Grilled chicken on vermicelli with spring rolls My soda lemonade came first. It was fizzy, cold, and refreshing. I loved it so much. I would get it again in a heartbeat. It also helped me down my food as I waited for my hot tea to cool down. When my tea was finally at a temperature that wouldn't scorch my tongue, it was fragrant and yummy. I loved the grilled chicken. It was flavourful and grilled to perfection. The vermicelli was generous and yummy. The spring rolls were stuffed and crispy. This dish came with dipping sauce that I ended up pouring on everything. I feel that I needed more of it. I paid at the counter with a debit card. I tapped and was good. This eatery got busy after 4 pm. My guess is that everyone came to watch the Canada-Switzerland FIFA game. It got tense in the place. Eventually, Canada lost this game. I used the washroom before I left. It was beautiful and clean. It's a decent location that serves good food. The tea was too hot. Service started off slow, but was a lot better once my order was place. I'd love to return to try more items off the menu. (280)

I'll not recommend this restaurant.

Since the pandemic started, I rarely go out on Fridays. My last meeting on Friday was with my manager, who said that it was warm outside. It was 23C. I decided to fetch some dinner at Pho VietStar, which is owned by the same folks at CrepeStar two doors down. I wore shorts and a t-shirt on Friday, which is quite a contrast to the current temperature of 6C on a Sunday afternoon! Pho VietStar is located at Aurora Shopping Centre. It's a plaza, so the name can be a bit misleading. I used to visit parts of Aurora monthly, but have never been in this area. There are lots of stores that I need to revisit here. There is plenty of parking. After I finished shopping at Best Buy, I pulled up the menu on UberEats on my phone. You can only get delivery on UberEats for Pho VietStar. I wanted takeout. I called Pho VietStar and placed my order. The woman on the other end was energetic and great to interact with. My order was placed and she advised that it would take fifteen minutes. I was impressed. She also asked if I needed cutlery. I said yes. I got there in fifteen minutes. I am fairly good these days when it comes to arriving at restaurants to pick up food. It's a nice skill that I have picked up during this pandemic! I parked and headed into the eatery. There are laminated menus everywhere, which makes walk-in orders a cinch. A young man greeted me. I said my name and my order was right in front of both of us. I met the woman who had placed my order. She said that my order didn't need cutlery and didn't add it. She went and got some. It was weird, but I was fine. She also gave me napkins, which I appreciated. I ordered these items: - Pork belly baos (two) that comes with fries - A side order of gravy - Chicken fresh rolls I paid using a debit card. It didn't allow me to tip, which was a bummer. I like using a fork to eat fries, especially when I'm dunking them in gravy. So, the cutlery move was good. I thanked both of them and happily walked out with my food. I got home and tore into my food. As much as I love my usual pho and vermicelli dishes, I also love pork belly baos. I saw photos online of them and knew that I wanted them. They were yummy! The veggies were crunchy and fresh. The pork belly was tender and flavourful. I would have put more protein in them, but they satisfied my craving for pork belly baos. If you have been reading my reviews for a bit, you'll know that fries aren't high on my list of sides. I'd rather get onion rings, a side salad, or sweet potato fries. However, I was game getting gravy. The fries taste homemade and weren't oily. You can see bits of potato skin on each fry. The gravy was perfect. It wasn't overly thick. It wasn't thin or salty. Just right. I enjoyed this combo. The fresh rolls are huge here! It was smart that they were separated by a banana leaf. The veggies here are amazingly crunchy and tasty. The vermicelli was done right. The chicken was tender and flavourful. Again, I feel that there could be more protein in it. Maybe I'm just a protein hog. My food was impeccably packed and tasted so fresh with every bite. I will come back to have my pho and vermicelli dishes next. It's a decent Vietnamese place in Aurora for good eats, which has rekindled my fondness for the town. (394)

We ordered a vermicelli with pork sausage, grilled pork and spring roll, a stir fry rice noodles with assorted veggies and beef, chicken, shrimp, a deep fried chicken with butter and a mango milkshake. Since we ordered through door dash, all these came out to be $54 with tax and fees and everything which is quite pricey IMO. 1. Mango milkshake. Don't order this. It is so bland and tasteless that I almost can't tell it is mango milkshake. Almost like I know it's mango milkshake cuz i was told it is one. They must have added a tone of ice cuz it's all just bits of ice. Maybe they add only two chunks of mango to add some yellow color to it. It is bad. 2. Stir fried noodles with assorted meat and veggies. It is not the dry version as I expect, it's the saucy/wet style of Ho Fun. This dish is alright, reasonable. Good portion and still hot upon arrival. The shrimp is big and fresh but only two pieces. Overall a decent dish. 3. Deep fried chicken wings with butter. This is a very strange dish. First of all the batter is so weird it is thick it is chewy. The smell of the butter is there but the taste isn't. The meat itself is tender but the batter just ruined it. If you have tried the ones at The Pho Restaurant in markham, you will be very disappointed with this one. I definitely would not order it. 4. Vermicelli with spring roll, grilled pork and pork sausage. This dish is pretty good. The grilled pork has strong bbq taste to it, the pork sausage was also good. The spring roll however is a all-meat spring rolls which is also kinda strange to me. Didn't like it. The meat are on the salty side but balance well with the vermicelli. Vermicelli is on the thinner side but is a tad bit warm and does not clump together. For such price it paying, really have higher expectations for it. The pho restaurant in markham is still my favorite Vietnamese restaurant.
