A couple of nights ago I had the good fortune to treat myself to some Phō. After ordering, food came out rather quickly. A rarity as this place normally has extended waiting for dishes but I would say it's worth the wait. Luckily staff is always friendly and accommodating. My bowl of Phō came out piping hot! With plenty of protein and side additions to add to my soup. The broth was nice and clear with great flavor coming from the beef and spices used. Just the right amount of salt, sweetness and funk from fish sauce. Rice noodles were cooked perfectly. As always great food and a comfortable atmosphere. read more

This was my third time eating at Pho LeVy and it was just as good as the first two times. The first couple visits, I had the Vermicelli (Bún) #21 Grilled meat (pork), shrimp, & egg roll; so delicious! This time I had a regular size #11 Rare Steak & Lean Brisket accompanied by #25 Grilled Pork Bánh Mì. They both were amazing and full of flavor! That broth, chefs kiss! Really no need for any extra sauces for flavor. The noodle, meat ratio was not bad. It had a nice amount of green onion, white onion & cilantro. Nice amount of sides. The Grilled Pork Bánh Mì was perfectly toasted. Bread light and flaky. Grilled meat tender and flavorful & sandwich was stuffed with veggies, which I very much appreciated. Service was good this time. I was in and out in about 45 minutes. The first couple times I visited the service was really slow ... like over an hour for 1 person. It is a small business so give some grace ... it's worth it. Like I said it's a small restaurant, it's clean, and friendly. The owners are super nice and although, I haven't had one of their coffees, I've seen others order, it's definitely on my list of things to try here! read more

If you're looking for authentic Vietnamese food, this place is a must-try! The pho was absolutely delicious--rich, flavorful, and tasted just like homemade. The egg rolls were perfectly crispy, and the fresh shrimp rolls were made to perfection with fresh ingredients and great flavor. The service was warm, friendly, and attentive, making the entire dining experience even better. On top of that, the restaurant was spotless and very well maintained. Stopped by on the way to Three Rivers and Sequoia, and I was really surprised to have some of the most flavorful pho and freshest spring rolls I've ever had. The ratio of herbs in the tofu spring rolls was perfect, and the peanut dipping sauce was the best I've had. Sometimes you can tell if the sauce is store-bought, but this tasted like the restaurant's own house-made sauce. The pho was deeply flavorful and not overly salty. The noodles were also really fresh! I won't be forgetting them anytime soon. A lot of pho in LA tastes the same for some reason, so Pho Le Vy's stood out. The restaurant itself has a really understated, local neighborhood vibe too. My partner and I were the only ones eating at the time, but a friend of the owner was there chatting in the background which added to the homey ambience. read more

This pho was SO PHO-KING GOOD! My boyfriend and I were visiting from LA to hike up in sequoia and we were craving pho. We saw this spot in Porterville, and holy smokes we hit the jackpot! The broth was so flavorful, great meat to noodle ratio (both of us got #13) and we got some shrimp and chicken egg rolls that were the perfect crisp! On top of the food, the service was impeccable! Very kind and attentive staff! The ambiance of the restaurant was clean and comfortable as well! 10/10 spot, and will absolutely go again! The rare steak was tender and cooked perfectly in the bowl, while the tendon added a nice texture without being too chewy. The noodles were soft but not mushy, soaking up the broth with every bite. Skipping the jalapeños didn't take away from the dish, there was still plenty of flavor from the Thai Basil and bean sprouts on the side. We ordered a few items to share and every single one hit. Chicken egg rolls - Packed with flavor and generously filled. Super satisfying. Spicy Lemongrass Chicken bánh mì - They used an actual baguette (not a torta-style roll), which made a big difference. It was HUGE and so good. Chicken Pho (Phở Gà) - Came out piping hot, and the broth was better than any pho we've had in Visalia. The star anise aroma really came through, and those little fatty bubbles from the chicken broth added so much richness. Thai Tea - Absolutely next level. I don't know what they did differently, but it had a subtle orange peel/fragrance that made it stand out. One of the best Thai teas I've ever had--I'd honestly drive from Visalia to Porterville just for this. This has jumped to my favorite and #1 pho spot on my go to list. From the veggies, the appetizers ( we got the rocket shrimp ) to the pho and the service!! Super friendly staff, quick service even though the place was packed. I live about 40 min away and I will gladly make that trip every time! The oxtail pho was packed with meat and flavor. The best restaurant in town and the best pho I've had. I always get the rare steak pho and the fresh spring rolls. On hot days I love getting the iced mint tea. Although the wait is sometimes long, it is always worth it as the food is as fresh as it gets! Just go in knowing it may take over an hour. I will sometimes call in my order ahead of time, if I know I am on a time crunch. I can imagine it is hard to cook fresh food quickly. The owners are very kind and generous. Absolutely delicious! The short rib pho was perfection. I had the large which was a lot of food. The broth was simple and clean and the meat was a good quality. Had the beef short rib pho and it was delicious. The broth was super flavorful without adding any extras. The waiter/cashier was very friendly and accommodating, which made for a great customer service experience. Only downside: it took 47 minutes to get our food, and the restaurant wasn't busy. Hoping they improve on speed, because the pho itself is definitely worth trying! Also perhaps a sign on the window or door with the restaurant name would be nice. We stopped her coming to Sequioa National Park, it 8 people late at night abs they were so welcoming and nice. The food has to so much depth in flavor and so good! Highly recommended.
