Great pho also very friendly , best pho I had in a while , number 13 is by far the best for me

Nick G.

I ordered the rare steak and tendon pho, without jalapeños. The broth came out steaming hot and had a deep, rich flavor that tasted like it had been simmering for hours. The rare steak was tender and cooked perfectly in the bowl, while the tendon added a nice texture without being too chewy. The noodles were soft but not mushy, soaking up the broth with every bite. Skipping the jalapeños didn't take away from the dish, there was still plenty of flavor from the Thai Basil and bean sprouts on the side. Portion size was generous, service was quick, and the restaurant had a relaxed, family style feel to it. A great spot in town if you're in the mood for a hearty and comforting bowl of pho.

House made chili oil

A hidden gem Must try. Service was so amazing as well. Ambiance was clean and relaxing. Little road trip lunch stop. I ordered the shrimp spring rolls, the saffron iced tea sweetened with honey, lemongrass chicken bánh mì, and purchased the house made chili oil for home. The lemongrass chicken had the perfect kick to it, the peanut sauce was honestly one of the best I've had, and all the ingredients tasted so fresh and flavorful. My sandwich came out perfectly warm too. This place is such a hidden gem! 100/10.

#11 rare steak and beef brisket

I order the #11 rare steak with brisket pho and a water. It was very busy around 2pm on a Thursday but the food was very flavorful! The store was a little small but clean and the staff were friendly. They are in a great location right in Main Street.

Chicken Egg Roll. 4 pieces a bit bigger then your average egg roll.

First time trying this place and it was amazing! You can really tell they take their time preparing everything--the quality and flavor definitely show. We ordered a few items to share and every single one hit. Chicken egg rolls - Packed with flavor and generously filled. Super satisfying. Spicy Lemongrass Chicken bánh mì - They used an actual baguette (not a torta-style roll), which made a big difference. It was HUGE and so good. Chicken Pho (Phở Gà) - Came out piping hot, and the broth was better than any pho we've had in Visalia. The star anise aroma really came through, and those little fatty bubbles from the chicken broth added so much richness. Thai Tea - Absolutely next level. I don't know what they did differently, but it had a subtle orange peel/fragrance that made it stand out. One of the best Thai teas I've ever had--I'd honestly drive from Visalia to Porterville just for this. Overall, we've officially found our new favorite Vietnamese spot in Downtown Porterville!

YES YES YES so far so GOOOOD ordered fresh spring roll and it was so good!! Peanut sauce is on fire and you will love it!! Can't wait to try everything else. Only bad ordered in advance and still took them and extra 15 to make it when I got there with only one couple inside. Other than that will definitely come back to leave that last star.

These veggies need to be recognized! Freshest IVE EVER HAD. All of it was beyond fresh, flavorful and aromatic!

This has jumped to my favorite and #1 pho spot on my go to list. From the veggies, the appetizers ( we got the rocket shrimp ) to the pho and the service!! Super friendly staff, quick service even though the place was packed. I live about 40 min away and I will gladly make that trip every time! The oxtail pho was packed with meat and flavor. I asked for extra meatballs and they brought me a whole other plate broth and all with like 10 meatballs for $5!! Bargain!

Rare beef pho and fresh spring rolls.

The best restaurant in town and the best pho I've had. I always get the rare steak pho and the fresh spring rolls. On hot days I love getting the iced mint tea. Although the wait is sometimes long, it is always worth it as the food is as fresh as it gets! Just go in knowing it may take over an hour. I will sometimes call in my order ahead of time, if I know I am on a time crunch. I can imagine it is hard to cook fresh food quickly. The owners are very kind and generous. I always leave happy and full. Pho Le Vy is by far the best restaurant in Porterville.

Homemade Egg Rolls

Absolutely delicious! The short rib pho was perfection. I had the large which was a lot of food. The broth was simple and clean and the meat was a good quality. I also had the homemade pork egg rolls which I polished off. There is also Ox tail on the menu which I plan to try next time. Staff very very friendly and very attentive. Definitely don't pass up!

4/5 *ONLY BECUASE I GOT SOMETHING THAT I WAS TRYING FOR THE FIRST TIME .* Although the food was amazing for something I've never tried it's not for me simply I'm going to go back try the phu next time hoping I'll enjoy that more . Ima bout to bless a homeless man with this meal . Service was 10/10 I didn't even order a drink & the man in there gave me one just for waiting . Don't let one semi bad trip/eats/experience ruin it for every time you go .

Lemongrass chicken

The food here is soo good! Enough portions for two people, the lemongrass chicken tastes great. The shrimp egg rolls are a must try especially with their sauce. I'll definitely be coming back to try the pho. Service was quick, welcoming, and efficient. Overall great spot and need in the town.

Cute seating area, received…read morefood quickly ordered two Korean corn dogs and let me say it was a lot we had a hard time finishing them. To be honest there wasn't much flavor other than the spicy mayo but maybe just an off day maybe?

Interestingly there was only one employee working when we visited and I watched in amazement as she took orders and prepared everything. Our drinks took 25 minutes to complete and we were the first group in line. *Mochi Donut: there were seasonal flavors and the employee was kind enough to explain the different flavors as the names were a bit abstract. I opted for the spring donut which was white chocolate and matcha. The texture was the best I've tried. Perfectly bouncy in the center with a light exterior. It wasn't too oily nor sweet and the glaze was subtle. Despite the description, I couldn't really differentiate the white chocolate and matcha from a standard glaze. *Spring Fruit Tea: described as a passionfruit and rose tea. Disappointedly, neither flavor was prominent. The tea was steeped well but this was missing some brightness. *Creme Brulee: very sweet but fragrant. This was rich and milky with strong notes of burnt cream. However, we got less sugar for this and it was still too sweet. If there was an option to lower the sugar even more, I would opt for that. The milk based drinks tasted better than the fruit ones. If I was in a rush, I would stick to the donuts but drinks were pretty good if you don't mind the wait.
