    pho bowl and fries!!

First time having pho and it did not disappoint!! So delicious and I am literally counting the minutes until I get the chance to go again. The service was also great, there was a little bit of a wait but that's not a problem when there's stores right around the area to spend your time in. Food came out efficiently and there wasn't anything to complain about! The inside was also super cute and it seemed like a great place to get food with friends or family.

Decided to give Pho Luca another chance, this time dining in. First impressions: limited seating available and no designated waiting area, so if you're waiting for a table, you have to awkwardly stand in the middle of the restaurant. We ended up sitting at the bar, even though we didn't order any drinks. It wasn't a problem, though--they had Mean Girls playing on the tele, so it was more than fine. Now, for the food: we ordered both gluten free spring rolls and fried spring rolls. The GF ones were pretty good. The pho was also solid--slightly on the sweeter side, but great portions and plenty of protein.

I think this was some of the best pho I've ever eaten in Richmond. The food was tasty and the service was prompt. The cuisine was excellent. I will most certainly be a repeat buyer. I enjoy the interior décor and the quirky views they created, and the atmosphere is really pleasant.

The food was a major letdown; there was very little meat in the pho and the broth lacked flavor. Beyond that, the service was horrible. Our server was incredibly rude, never followed up on our meal, and didn't bother to refill our water once. Definitely not coming back.

One of the top Vietnamese in Richmond. the food is pretty authentic. it might be hard to find parking becasue it's near the campus on Cary st. The chicken wing app comes in four pieces , good flavor but it would be great if they have some flavor options to add on such as spicy. the combination pho has good amount of meat and flavor is really good. if you are hungry you can get the big bowl but i think standard bowl is enough for one person if you order appetizers . Service is great. Our waitress is fast and super friendly, the space isn't big. It gets busy during lunch time.

After being in RVA from the SF Bay Area for almost 2 weeks, I had a strong craving for something hearty and warm, and pho sounded great to hit the spot. Going forward, my review will be biased since I'm from CA and I've had loads of pho from San Jose. Pho Luca's is located in Carytown next to lots of small restaurants and shops. We came during happy hour and was able to get $2 off cocktails and free refills on mocktails. Also I love how they have a drink named after Iroh from ATLA! We ordered spring rolls and 2 regular sized pho dac viet bowls. Spring rolls were great and fresh! Unfortunately I found the pho to be very mid. The portions were very skimpy, the meat slices and cuts were great but the noodle portion was SO small that we finished our bowls within minutes. I was still hungry after eating my bowl. :/ the broth was okay, but it was also very dark and tasted a bit off. I was pretty disappointed to see that they didn't include tripe with pho dac biet. It did hit the spot but I felt like something was missing. I was mostly upset how it costed $14 for a regular bowl and how the portions were so stingy. Drinks were great, honestly I would just come here for the happy hour. I ordered the Thaichata, it's Thai tea with rumchata added and it was delicious! Service is great and friendly here, they came frequent to refill our waters.

I'm glad I tried Pho Luca finally! Walked past it enough times and had it on my list long enough - one major downside is getting a table here is tough, super small interior with limited seating options especially for big parties but delicious and worth the wait if you're willing! The Spring Roll appetizer was delicious - I would be lying if I said I didn't literally take a spoon to the sauce bowl after and eat it alone in all its glory. The Regular Chicken Pho was pretty solid - be warned if you order the large bowl, as they are truly ENORMOUS! I've definitely had better Pho in my lifetime, but can't say I walked away from here disappointed!

I'm sorry I had not been here earlier. My sister recommended we meet up for dinner and our table grew to double the number with out of town family visiting. That said, staff was super accommodating and so pleasant. Throughout the meal the aromas of the spices and cooking filled the restaurant. I guess with the number of Vietnamese restaurants we have in the greater RVA area I wasn't expecting one of my favorites to be nestled in Carytown. From the drinks to the main dishes not one complaint only that the Pho was warm and delicious and the vermicelli was killer! The service elevated the flavors and the entire meal.

Tasty, but fatty brisket. I think not enough noodles for the price. Great service and cute spot, but very small! Might be a wait!

I swear this place tastes like home! Not only does their beef pho rival most pho spots in Richmond - their service is phenomenal. They're positive and incredibly hard working. Whether we're dining in or taking out - their quality has never wavered for me. Thank you Pho Luca for your hospitality - it doesn't go unnoticed

I came here solo after getting a few services done while in Richmond. I sat at the bar, and loved seeing all the action from the servers back there. I ordered green tea and then a noodle dish that was phenomenal! I would highly recommend coming here, and waiting, if there is a wait. The servers were great and attentive and were quick with anything I needed. I will definitely return again!

The most delicious Vietnamese pho I have ever eaten,i ordered a dark chicken pho and a ice tea i love it

Dark broth. Tastes funky too much star anise. Little amount of noodle and beef. Overpriced!

I especially enjoyed the Mì Xào Giòn Đồ Biển, featuring crispy pan-fried noodles topped with seafood and vegetables. It was light, flavorful, and had a great balance of seafood and veggies. I also ordered the Cơm Đậu Hũ Chiên Giòn, which comes with crispy fried tofu over rice. I wasn't expecting the tofu to be marinated, but it added a delicious savory flavor that I really enjoyed. Overall, it's a no-frills spot serving comforting Vietnamese food at reasonable prices. There was plenty of seating inside and ample parking around the building.

The facility is WAY to big to have only 1 old man serving and hosting at the same time. Especially on a weekend. Not worth the wait and once i saw there was literally 4 tables who just had menus on their tables waiting to order.. i knew i had to get out before i realize that i waited over 40minutes to order. So i left right away. I may try them one day but definitely not worth dining at a place that cant spend money on waiters for their restaurant on a weekend.

The menu is loaded with many Vietnamese delights, but I was only there for Pho, so I asked what broths they make and was surprised to learn they make beef, chicken, and vegetable broths for their Pho! Many places I visit only seem to make a beef, so I was happy to be able to enjoy chicken broth with my Phở gà. I told him to pack the order securely as I had a long drive home, but that clearly didn't happen. I didn't wait long for my order, maybe 10 minutes total and when I got it, it was in a tied plastic bag, which I carried out. I felt heat on the bottom and thought maybe one of the lids leaked, so when I looked at the lids, they were very poorly secured, which is an issue. They bought terrible, cheap, low-grade quart containers, which barely hold the lid. So I seatbelted the bag in my front seat and made it home fine. But when unpacking at home, I noticed the large round containers they put the main food in had lids that was sitting on top of the base, but didn't lock on at all - Again, cheap containers. They also had a nice assortment of accoutrement in that container, but everything was mixed together, both the cold and the hot - this is NOT appropriate. You should never pack cold and hot things in a single vessel when food is "to go." Even still, we separated everything and when it came time to eat, the noodles were so soft, they were melting. The broth was on the bland side, so I found myself adding Sriracha and salt for the first time ever to my Pho broth. The veggies were fresh though. The chicken looked and tasted good, but there were several odd, dark pieces in it that wasn't appetizing to come across. Overall - I really wanted to love this experience, especially since the smell inside that restaurant was great, but I feel it was slightly less than was it should have been. I'd say this was a 3.5 star visit, but will rate on the hi-end at 4 stars. Would I return? Not for Pho.
