    Pho dac biet
    Daniel H.

It's been a very long time since I've actually had decent Vietnamese food on the east coast. I love to explore new places since I've moved to Virginia and was about to try Pho 60 cafe for lunch. The guy that sat me down did not have exciting energy. BUT my server called me 'boss' so that was an instant 5 star right there. I order a pho dac biet and it was beyond my expectations. All the meat was extremely tender and the fatty brisket definitely was fatty. The tendon melts in your mouth instantly. Great broth and perfect amount of noodles. The more I think about it, I'd have to say this was the best pho dac biet I've ever had. Nothing was chewy at all. The restaurant has a very organized feel and cleanliness. I'm impressed that everyone wears the same tshirt/uniform. The menu is also very well designed and easy to understand both viet and English. Great online website as well. Overall I'd definitely go back. The food reminds me of home.

I came here for lunch on a Friday and got the pho dac biet large ($16) and it came out super fast, about 5 minutes. The pho broth was absolutely delicious! It was super savory and had a really good beefy and saltiness to it! Definitely now in my top 3 in pho broth in Richmond! They also gave a respectful amount of meat in the large! Atmosphere was chill , service was really quick and staff were very normal for a Vietnamese restaurant. Overall a fantastic place for pho for a fair price! I would definitely come back here when I'm in this side of town! Food(50%): 8.9 Staff/service(25%): 8.5 Value(25%):8.0 Overall: 8.6/10

Walked in on a Saturday evening. Holiday spirit was in the air. A tall Christmas tree was up and decors were all over. It was nice. Shrimp and pork spring rolls were fine. The picture in the menu shows 8 pieces but one order is just 2 pieces. Combination noodle soup had flank, fat brisket, tendon, tripe, and well done brisket. House special crab meat vermicelli tomato soup used imitation crab. Food was okay overall but not excellent. Service was so so. You get your own plastic/boxes for your left overs that you want to bring home. If you'll wait for the staff to hand you your check, this would not happen since payment is done at the counter. I stood before the register and waited for minutes before a staff member went to attend to me and accept my payment.

Nice clean restaurant, the aroma of the deliciousness just permeates the whole dining room. Also good sign to see a lot of south East Asians dining here. I ordered the large combination beef pho and it came out in less than 5 mins. Waiter said because they were not busy. The pho both was excellent and the whole pho was really good. I attempted the bbq beef banh mi sandwich as well. It was a 12" sandwich with plenty of bbq beef toasted warm but it was not quite the crusty French roll as I would have preferred. All that being said I really enjoyed my meal here

Came out in no time! So good

My server Kevin was awesome. Dropped off a water right as I sat down. Took my order not too long after. He even helped me brush up on some Vietnamese. Food is always good and the service is every time I've gone. Quick sit down, food comes out pretty fast. One of my go to spots. the food has actually come out as I'm finishing my review. Bon appètit

    Pho

The service was fast and efficient. We ordered Bun Bo Hue, Pho, Bahn Mi, iced coffee with condensed milk, and shrimp and pork spring rolls. Everything came out incredibly quickly and tasted amazing. Bun Bo Hue wasn't incredibly spicy but very flavorful. The meat in the bahn mi was very flavorful. The spring rolls came out as soon as we ordered it and the peanut sauce was very delicious. The iced coffee was incredibly strong. All in all, we'd definitely come back. Kevin was incredibly fast and prompt. Called my husband "boss" and he appreciated that.

Combination Noodle Soup and sides for the soup

I had their large Combination Noodle Soup. It was excellent and delicious. Tons of flavors and lots of ingredients. But some stuffs in it might not appeal to everyone like pork stomach and slices of fat. I also had the spring rolls with shrimp & pork. They were just okay, pork was a little dry and the sauce was runny. The service was good and server came over almost right away when I sat down. The food came out pretty quick I was surprised since the restaurant was pretty busy. Overall I had a good experience and will definitely come back to try other dishes!

    Spare ribs

The food is so flavorful and the portions are great. We ordered the spare ribs which were sooo good. The brisket and steak pho had some of the best broth I've tasted in Richmond since moving here. The pork fried rice was delicious. Lastly the coconut juice tasted fresh like drinking it straight out of a coconut. Lastly, Kevin our server was friendly and had our food out quickly. Will definitely be back.

Yum! What a great find in Midlothian for your pho and casual Vietnamese food fix! Pros: DELICIOUS FLAVORFUL chicken pho broth which you don't always find when you order the chicken pho. Tasty and flavorful filling of the fried egg rolls, Good dipping sauce for the egg rolls. My friend enjoyed her vermicelli bun with chicken Good quick service Lots of seating All your condiments on the table. Great place to grab a bite to eat! Cons: Nothing!

This was really good Pho . I've been on the hunt for a good pho spot and today I found it. .i had the #10 small pho and u always have to try the banh mi Both were very good . The broth is tasty and they have good size portions. The Banh Mi was good and the biggest I've ever seen . The bread was fresh and had a nice crunch when u bite it . I'll definitely be back to try something else

I never leave reviews but i just have to let everyone know how great the food and service is! Ambiance is always so welcoming and food is always on point! Just wish the food was a little cheaper considering everytime i come here the prices seem to change, but even then; i will continue to eat here !!! 10/10

To me, a great presentation and a beautiful atmosphere are wonderful, but at the end of the day? Nothing can replace pure, authentic flavor. Well, Fat Dragon in Virginia absolutely blew me away. From the second we walked in, the experience was seamless. We had a party of eight with no reservation, and they sat us immediately. The ambiance was great, the portions were incredibly generous, and the staff was friendly, attentive, and completely on top of their game. Drinks arrived fast, and the entire meal flowed beautifully without a single hitch. But let's get to the real highlight of the night: the Tsingtao beer-battered mushrooms. Oh my goodness, they were out of this world! Perfectly fried and crispy on the outside, incredibly juicy on the inside, and dusted with a spicy Sichuan cloud that made them completely irresistible. They were so good that even my father--who isn't a mushroom lover at all--couldn't stop eating them! For my main course, I had the Fei Lone steak, and it was absolutely sublime. Tender, perfectly prepared, and packed with flavor. If you appreciate amazing service, a great vibe, and food that actually delivers on taste, do yourself a favor and check out Fat Dragon. I'll definitely be thinking about those mushrooms for a long time!

The entryway is interesting and provides some shelter from the rain, allowing you to manage your umbrella before entering. We were seated within seconds, and our server, Liza, came by very promptly with some water for our table. I felt slightly anxious at first, being that we were in a cozy two-top amongst the fray, but it subsided quickly because everyone was respectful and reasonably quiet. We ordered the veggie spring rolls to start, and I had the Chinatown Ramen, and my partner had the Chicken Fried Noodles. The appetizer was hot, savory, and spicy with the duck sauce and hot mustard mixture. If you like milder sauce, do not mix it. The entrees came out within five or so minutes of the appetizers, which seemed quick for a busy night. The ramen was spicy, hot, and filling. I was only able to finish about half. We will be enjoying those leftovers tonight. My partner said that her noodles and chicken were well-seasoned and delicious, too. Looking around the restaurant, it is clear that they support the local LGBTQ+ community, and it is even labeled as a Safe Space on the beautifully manicured, makeshift chalkboard/menu/posting board. The clientele and staff alike seemed warm and kind, based solely on limited interactions and observation on my part. If you are looking for a traditional American-Chinese food restaurant (think buffet-style items), this is likely not the place for you. There were no mishaps or snafus with our orders. Liza performed her duties well, and I can surely recommend this restaurant to anyone who doesn't mind a mix of Japanese and Chinese cuisine.
