I was in the mood to try a new restaurant today, so I forced myself not to go to my usual favorite pho spot. I honestly wasn't expecting much, but the food was delicious. Here's what we ordered: *#44 dry egg noodles: yum! We love the light brown sauce on the noodles and the light broth on the side. Not something you normally see on the menus here. Tastes just like the OG spots in Orange County. My favorite item on the menu, * Shaken beef: Served over their orange rice, it was so good and really hit the spot for what I was craving. The tender, flavorful beef paired perfectly with the rice, especially with some of the rice tinged with some of the brown sauce from the steak. * Pho: Although it wasn't as good as my favorite spot, it was still very tasty and flavorful. * #60 stir-fried noodles: I expected a dry stir fried noodle dish, but it turned out to be soupy and lacked flavor. The service was great, and the restaurant was clean. It was a great lunch, and I'll definitely be back for the shaken beef, and to try other items on the menu. read more

I have been here three times and for a small restaurant, the food packs a punch! It is located right across from Costco, and has changed hands in the past several years. The owner became our server during our first visit and since then, it has become one of our favorite places to eat at in Temecula. The food is amazing and the service is great! They serve Vietnamese street food, which in my opinion has an elevated taste above the normal Vietnamese cuisine. It's hard to explain the difference in words, but there is definitely a big difference in taste. The flavors are more deeply seasoned within the food. The place is small, and the decor gives off a homey vibe. I would definitely recommend this place for both Vegans and Carnivores . Enjoy! read more

This is my favorite Pho spot in Temecula. Lee has owned this shop for as long as i can remember. She is super friendly & makes everything fresh to order. I've never wished for a downfall of any place of business but this is a first. THE SERVER ASSAULTED MY CHILD and I'm uploading a picture of their tiny hands so you can see the redness. Who TF do these people think they are laying a hand on my child? I'm absolutely livid beyond any words. The server was NOT happy that I decided to return their food which was obviously over cooked. I still had to pay for two other items so when it was time to collect my change I left the table merely seconds before my child and that is when the server grabbed their arms when I had my back turned. I've uploaded the pictures for everyone to see. As a parent, we do what we can to protect our kids. I immediately confronted the worker as the rest of the restaurant went completely silent and I asked why she would do such a thing and she nervously admitted to it but said it was an accident. HOW DO WE ACCIDENTALLY SCRATCH AND LEAVE A MARK ON AN INNOCENT CHILDS HAND WHO DID NOTHING WRONG. KARMA IS A MF and I can't wait til the day it comes back to the server who did this. I have never had a bad plate here . The beef Pho is top shelf with beef filet. It all seems really fresh and I appreciate how when ordered to go the don't use styrofoam containers . Came here on a whim basically starving and excited to eat comfort food. It was empty and we were able to choose where we wanted to sit. Customer service was friendly, it was clean and there were some nice pieces of art inside. Beyond that the rest of my experience was eh. Food was not very good :( ingredients were poor quality-especially with the grilled pork paste spring rolls. Rice paper was extremely chewy and the pork paste was tough. My boyfriend's meal was just downright not good.The meat was poor quality and had flavor notes that didn't work well with the dish. The pho was ok. I'm being picky but it was served with lemon and not lime which I just ..... don't like lol. I was disappointed at the $2.50 extra charge for extra veg. That seemed kinda much. My colleague recommended this place to me, since my favorite pho spot closed down. Located off Ynez & Overland in the Food 4 Less shopping center. I love that they open at 10 AM!! The pho was good. Not super amazing but not horrible.... it was good. I would come back maybe for just the pho. It is served piping hot like how it's supposed to be. Broth is not too strong (I can't stand pho shops that put too much "extra stuff" in their broth bc pho broth is supposed to be just that.... bone broth. This place has good broth. Tried their chicken wings and spring rolls and it was below average for me. The chicken wings were very small (like really, really small!!!).... as for the spring rolls, it was plain and the peanut sauce was below satisfactory and kinda lacked that special flavor that peanut sauce is supposed to have. Also, portions are a bit on the smaller end... it could be a little bigger. Service is good though. They're pretty attentive to my needs. Would come back here for pho. read more

We are on a quest to find good Pho in Temecula. This is our 5th Vietnamese restaurant we have visited since landing in Temecula. Pho Mai is decent for the area. I hate to admit it but our worst Pho experience in the Bay Area is better than the best we have experienced in Temecula. The Pho was just ok, says my wife. I went with the wings and they lacked flavor and size. Hell, the 6 pigeon wings cost $10. The spring rolls were ok but the peanut sauce needed help. If we visited Pho Mai in Northern California it would only get 3 stars but in Temecula it deserves 4 stars. Our quest for good Vietnamese food continues. read more

If you haven't tried this place and like Vietnamese Food, you're missing out! Had the #83 Pork Vermicelli and #22 Pho Tai with a Vietnamese Ice Coffee and Jasmine tea. Everything was the best quality ingredients. The drinks and food were perfect. I grew up in Little Saigon (Westminster/Fountain Valley area) so I know my Vietnamese food. The Iced Coffee was as good as the best I've ever had and the tea was so rich it made the stuff I'm used to seem like water. (Even their disposable chopsticks were top quality.) When my wife and I walked in, we expected another hole in the wall experience, but when they brought the food, it ended up being one of the best places we've ever been. Service was excellent and customer oriented. I ordered Pho rare beef and wife ordered pho shrimp. We shared the vegetable spring roll. Atmosphere was quiet and clean. Just a short wait for food to come as per our request the spring rolls arrived with our meals. Vegetable spring rolls excellent. Placed inside the lettuce before adding chili oil to mine and rolled the lettuce around it before taking a bite. So fresh and perfectly balanced as was both of our pho bowls. First of all, this is the only Vietnamese restaurant that served me Vietnamese egg rolls that tasted bad. And who serves Vietnamese egg rolls with cabbage?!? The sauce also lacked flavor. Second, the chicken was rock hard...it looked like it's been fried at least 3 times. The sliced pork was over cooked as well. This is the worst Asian restaurant I've ever been too. It's small, they definitely feel a little overwhelmed due to needing help, BUT, they are hiring so if anyone is looking for a job I don't think this place would be a bad idea. It was so good I forgot to take a picture of my food. I got the toppings and menu though. I would say this place is decently priced. I ordered #20 which is the filet mignon rare pho. It was only $13.99. I enjoyed the portion size. The beef didn't have giant fatty pieces which I really appreciated! The broth was amazing and not too salty. We also tried the white rice and the egg rolls. Those were fantastic. It does take a while for the food to come so please make sure you are not in a rush so you can enjoy your experience.
