We went to this restaurant last night after driving for hours. I found the red Pine Café on yelp and it had great reviews so we thought we would try it. We are also so happy that we tried it. The best part about the restaurant was the owner. He was so nice to us. We are really happy went into this business and we love supporting mom and pop shops. We will for sure be back. I would say all the yelp reviews are right then we also got two bowls for kids they were all very customizable. You could add corn you could add greens. You could add mushrooms and overall I would say it's a fairly good price so stop by this place nearby if you're taking your kids to soccer, the owner is really nice. he welcomed us and he also Shared about some of their specials. I've been seeing Red Pine Cafe all over FB and wanted to give it a try. It's off Temecula Parkway & Kevin Place, so the location is a bit tucked away, but we found it. The inside is small and has 5 tables to eat at. There's additional seating outside too. I would describe the food here to be like a Korean version of a Chipotle bowl. You pick your base, protein, veggies, and sauce. We got 2 bowls both with brown rice, 1 with chicken, the other with beef... all veggies, and all sauces. Each bowl comes with a side of kimchi and pickled cucumbers. It was pretty good!! I love that the sesame seeds were mixed with sunflower seeds. The veggies in it were good as well as the sauces they used. The chicken had a smoky taste to it like it was grilled over open flame. The beef was marinated in what tasted like Korean bulgogi sauce. Overall, we were very satisfied with our bowls. Definitely would come back to this place. Wow, just wow!! I recently catered from them for a work event out of town. Derick the owner came with a co-worker and they did an amazing job! This was his 4th catering order but you wouldn't know it. He was professional, friendly and really accommodating for our group with allergies and what we needed. He built a bowl to show us how it's done. We also got Thai tea with boba which was super tasty. The boba is cooked well. For the food itself we got chicken and beef as well as all the veggies. People loved the food and there wasn't much left afterwards! I enjoyed the sauces and just the various flavors in my bowl. Seriously you need to check this place out! We got three bowls - 1 each chicken, pork and steak. Chicken was not bad but nothing to right home about, the pork was good but the steak was awesome- soft and flavorful. The kimchi and sweet pickle the give were really nice too. The two sauces- gochu and soy glaze- together were a bit too sweet for my palette though others in the group enjoyed it. This bowls are very much a simplified "chipotle-style" system but in my opinion, with so much more flavor. We ordered the pork belly bowls with white rice and I had every damn banchan thrown on there. It was also so, so, good and well seasoned. I also give him props for mentioning that their seed mix was a good way to add texture as well as extra protein for vegan customers. I gotta say their kimchi and Taiwanese cucumbers were so good and refreshing, which was perfect with the pork belly. Pick your veggies, I'm not prejudiced do put all seven in. Then pick your sauce, my choice was the Gochu sauce. A little spicy at first but becomes smoother as you eat. You also get a side dish of Kim chee and pickled cucumbers. Both were delicious. The food is delicious and from what i can see very healthy. Right now it is a one man operation. I write this as I finish up left overs from yesterday. My kind of food! A bowl of rice covered with all the toppings, I chose pork as my protein, and topped with shredded egg and gochu sauce. Pickled cucumbers and Kim Chee come with the bowl. Pork were tasty little bites. Next time I want to try the beef (I think I saw it's kalbi beef-yum!). Gochu is a little spicy on the first bite, but simmers down as your taste buds acclimates to it. Adding all the toppings is a must in my opinion. Slightly sweet pickled cucumbers and vegan Kim Chee complete this bowl to make it so delicious! Kim Chee is vegan, meaning no fish sauce added. It's really good! A small dog friendly patio eating area is a nice feature for us. I took off one star because the patio area needs to be cleaned up, which I mentioned to the owner. There are a few tables inside too. Super nice owner. He said he had been swamped all day. He was the only one manning the place and was in catch up mode when we got there. For a couple of weeks, I've been keeping an eye on the Red Pine Cafe Instagram page that somehow popped up on my foodie Instagram feed. When I heard of their Grand Opening, I knew I had to check them out! They are located in a small strip mall area off Temecula Parkway. When you pull into the strip mall area, they are to the end on the left. So don't miss it! There is parking to the left of the building next to the restaurant as there aren't spots in the very front. As I immediately entered, I was greeted warmly by the kind owners. To the left wall, you see the instructions on how to construct your bowl to your liking. straight ahead is the counter where you order and pay and to the right is a small seating area for those to dine in-house. That evening, I purchased two bowls as they were having a Grand Opening special only on that day. For the first bowl, I ordered with white rice, beef, corn, carrots, mushrooms, edamame, bean sprouts, spinach, gochu sauce, seed mix, and shredded egg. The second bowl was their grilled chicken with basically the same toppings but without the mushrooms. Both bowls were incredibly tasty. The proteins were juicy and the beef was flavorful with whatever bulgogi marinade was used! Not only tasty but very filling! BTW the gochu sauce is amazing! It's slightly spicy with a hint of sweetness. I am stoked that The Red Pine Cafe opened and wish them nothing but a huge success! I passed up a few restaurants that my girlfriend wanted to eat at, based on the reviews of this place, which I had bookmarked. I hate to give negative reviews, but this was just a bizarre experience. The service was super nice, no complaints there whatsoever; however, the quality of food was a bit shocking based on other people's reviews. I have to guess we just came on an off day. The chicken was one of the driest pieces of chicken I've ever put in my mouth. Almost impossible to swallow. Chicken jerky would be more moist. Unquestionably pre-cooked and left out for too long. The cucumbers look like they were bordering on going bad; the carrots I could taste the old water on. The rice was dry.
