Looks like new ownership. Credit cards are charged to Pho Akaushi and Seafood. New people in house and service and quality of food have suffered from the change of ownership. We had to eat in shifts. My wife's Pho came out first. Several minutes later my shrimp and garlic noodles came out and with only two attempts to get it right our spring rolls came out dead last. The spring rolls were not very good. They put a sugar cookie in the middle which gave it a strange taste. Not much garlic in noodles and the strange pho bowl they use now is a pain if you need to take leftovers home. Sad to see this place took a step backwards. Don't know if we will return. read more

Great service the ladies who run this place are very friendly and quick with everything. The broth taste is awesome a little darker and richer then most pho, really great flavor! Also got the Thai Tea; very good and richer/creamier then a normal thai tea. This spot should be busier, its very good! A little more expensive then other places but quality was solid. So upsetting. Older man took my order reeked of cigarettes. I heard the microwave go off multiple times. I ordered the spring rolls and the shrimp was NOT deveined. The picture of the spring rolls had more vegetables inside which was not at all the case, just lettuce and shrimp. The food, service, and ambience here are really good. The food was amazing! The service was really quick. And it was peaceful, there wasn't many people aside from someone coming to get carry out. Place looks pretty empty and dead inside, but be happy that there's actually good and authentic Vietnamese foods here. Temecula is a cute old town with lots of restaurant choices. Not far from hotels and the Pechanga Hotel Casino. Jefferson Ave stretches pretty far. If you stay near Hibachi Buffet or Holiday Inn Express, Saigon Noodle House is walkable, just down a block and right across the street. Pork and shrimp vermicelli dish was delicious in taste. Typical Vietnamese flavors. Special Pho bowl was served in a square looking bowl. Interesting. Clean and bright inside. There wasn't any other customers dining inside after 5:30 pm while we were there on a Saturday night. Staffs really appreciated having us as customers and they are passionate about making their foods look good and taste good. The lady there was very friendly. $18 for Pho is considered a bit pricey than most, but it's Temecula, so driving a bit further out here is worth the trip. Nothing much happens here. Very quiet. I was craving Vietnamese food after a long day spent out in Temecula. I'm not very fluent so I often get nervous ordering. I wanted Mi Xao, a stir fried noodle dish, and ordered a Grilled Pork Garlic Noodle plate. The menu is entirely in English, so it's very accessible. This restaurant is mom-and-pop owned, and I enjoyed every bit of it. Quiet for a Friday night, but it felt like home. They're very hard-working, and delivered when it came to the quality and taste of the food. I highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Vietnamese food. They also offer cajun too. I have many dislikes about this place and I have many likes as well. The service is the main reason for lower stars. Every time I'm here the owner lady, who's older, always gets my order wrong. She's very nice but she's always missing a few things I ask for. For example like the sauces or a cup of ice to go with my canned diet coke or my steamed sprouts or sometimes just an entire dish. I think she needs help. Her and her husband I presume are the only 2 there. The food is hit or miss. The pho is bland and the noodles are pasty most times. I usually order stir fry egg noodles. The flavor is pretty good. The grilled pork stuff isn't kicking and screaming with flavor. The nuc mam sauce is sort of bland. I think their stir fry stuff is slightly better than the other types of dishes. All the food are ok with the exception of 1 or 2 dishes that are really good. The place is a bit outdated, but the Pho is excellent. My favorite Pho spot (in San Diego) closed due to COVID and I've been searching for a new place. After eating/searching several location I found my new Pho spot. I also tried a cold cut sandwich. The bread was a bit hard and the meats really had no flavor. Wondering if this is the best kept secret for Vietnamese food lovers? My simple bowl of noodles was spectacular. Egg noodles done well is very hard to do. They need to be chewy yet but even a bit of a bite or crunch to them. Wow. I haven't had egg noodles cooked properly since forever. Broth was very flavorful. Vermicelli with meat and an egg roll is one of my favorite meals ever. To dodge the brutal Temecula traffic I stopped in to take a break from the Noah's Ark downpour that had drivers actin a foo. The exterior reminded me of the home in Barbarian. I wasn't even sure it was still open as I parked. The interior kind of reminded of Texas Chainsaw 3. People sitting at tables with no food, menus, or even showing emotion. I was a bit frightened to be honest. Seemed like some backwoods spot in the middle of nowhere, I mean it kind of is, the only other business I noticed was a dimly lit Salvation Army. I was told to sit down and realized that receiving a menu would be a tall order. I could see a lady and a man arguing in the back for a good while. 5 minutes later a couple walked in for takeout and were avoided entirely. I left after an additional 10 minutes. No one left the kitchen and I was crazy hungry. I hear the best, most authentic spots give terrible service but here it was impossible to order. My pursuit of quality Vietnamese in SoCal will stay paused for now but when back for wine tasting I might give them another shot. Good luck ordering or have someone come to your table lol. read more

Before entering the building we were already rushed to have a seat and place our orders. Food came out in a decent amount of time, the main issue was the service after receiving our orders. The servers never came back out to check on us, wasn't offered any drink refills or anything. Once we finished our meal, we waited about 20-30 mins for the bill till finally we had to yell "HELLO!" at the cashiers desk to get someone's attention from the back kitchen. A few other customers had entered the building as well with no greeting from the staff and ended up seating themselves. One couple actually got up and grabbed their OWN menus and had to shout for a waiter to come out from the back kitchen as well. We do our best to support local businesses and we have given this spot another shot. Depending on who is working that day will determine if you get quality food and portions. The restaurant itself is definitely hole in the wall quality so it is plain. I went at 1pm and it wasn't crowded so food came out fast. I come here by myself and with my family all the time. This place is amazing and the people that work here are great. It is ran by an older man and woman. And once you get to know them, they are very nice. Some people might get thrown off by there straight forward attitude, but what do you expect from older Vietnamese people they are great. If you want authentic Vietnamese food and experience, this place is for you. It's not fancy, but it is a clean place, and a "home feeling" place. We got there around 10:45am and not a single person was dining there. The only person that walked through that door the entire time we were there was a lady picking up her take out. The atmosphere there was cold. There were some decor on the walls but not enough to take away the coldness. We like to order our food in Vietnamese, hence neither I nor my husband speak Vietnamese. We just pronounce the food item in Vietnamese. My pronunciation of the names of the food must be good that even the wife in the back came out to see. She started saying something in Vietnamese but I stopped her by saying I don't know in Vietnamese. Anyway, enough about me. Their egg rolls that cost $5.75 were good, tastier and less expensive than Pho Ha #1. However, their fish sauce was plain. They accommodated us by making chicken spring rolls that was nicely wrapped compared to Pho Ha in which they were loosely wrapped. The chicken spring rolls were also $5.75. They also accommodated my husband by making a coffee without condensed milk but with just milk since they didn't have any half and half. I ordered the vermicelli noodles with grilled pork and egg rolls. It was yummy but the fish sauce was so bland that I had to ask for another bowl. Still, it didn't make that much of a difference. My husband ordered a beef bahn mi, beef sandwich. And he said that Bamboo Express inside 88 Ranch Market was better. They were skimpy on the meat and the jalapeño slices were thickly sliced. They didn't bring us water until the wife came with a pitcher. Then she realized we didn't have any water cups so she brought us two water cups with lemon in them. My husband took a sip and said "tap water" then refused to drink it. I didn't even bother. The slice of lemon is to take the bad taste away. I think most places give you tap water, probably not as bad or just as bad. Oh! McDonald's on Mission Trail in Lake Elsinore has filtered water. Okay, I am derailing here. We probably won't go back. Went over and took take my mother for lunch. The food was okay but the service was horrible. After eating, I believe one of the owners(husband and wife) gave me the bill. I put my money on the tab and they called me up saying do I have another form of payment. I ask why? they told me my money looks fake. I was surprised. Been here a few times before. But since I recently stopped in Taiwan for a 3 hour layover I had been craving braised beef soup since being back in the U.S. I tried theirs...not bad. It's not exact but it's pretty close to that delectable Taiwanese noodle soup I had at the airport. I love that they pur big chunks of beef shank with tendon in it...i totally enjoyed that, thank you!! I love the fact that their broth did not have fish sauce. A lot of other vietnamese restaurants put fish sauce in their broth and that alone kills it for me, I'm so glad they don't put it in their broth. We also ordered the vegetarian banh mi. It was good. It had silkened tofu and was a lot bigger than other banh mis I've had. In the past, i would order the vegetarian egg noodles w tofu and vegetables. Do agree with the other comments. The portions are very skimpy, like bland paper thin slices of fish cake for the noodles, that makes some entrees overpriced. The lunch selections are adequately made. Pretty sure they taste good. The service is ok at times. They do listen to what customers want.
