I wish yelp allowed half star reviews because this is classic 3.5 for me but not a 4. Great location in Fallbrook and staff are friendly however the service is quite slow. Spring rolls are fresh with the crunchy peanut sauce 4/5 Oxtail pho was simply 5/5 just due to perfectly cooked and generous oxtail with deep rich broth. Main issue is the noodles which is clearly pre cooked. How difficult is it to make it fresh ? Or hopefully not left over from another day. Classic tell is that the rice noodles clump and break when you try to separate it Bo Kho was next and it was 2/5. Bold to have this but no French bread option and the broth was bland and a bit watery but the beef was tender and once again the same clumpy noodles Overall still a good stop in an area with no other options but can't justify the current rating here read more

We were worried that we would no find our usual favorites from Pasadena, Arts District, DTLA, etc. But we are soooo happy to have found Pho'Tastic not only is the restaurant nice, comfy, inviting the Quality is top notch! You can taste the fresh ingredients, no old basil or sprouts, hot cooked to order. Service is also attentive, kind, and they make sure you are happy. Pretty decent Vietnamese restaurant in Fallbrook! It's a small restaurant -- about 15 tables with a quiet atmosphere. Service - Standard. There were two girls serving all of the tables and it seemed like they were very busy/overwhelmed. Pho - I ordered the Chicken pho and added tendon and tripe. I'm very picky about pho and it was not bad! Broth was basic -- had a sweet onion flavor. They give you tons of chicken. The noodles were a bit overcooked and the noodles were all broken up /cut up into small pieces. It was hard to pick up with chopsticks so I used my spoon for the most part. Stir fried rice noodles - we ordered the dac biet or the Pho'Tastic style which is all proteins (chicken, shrimp, and beef). Great flavor and seasoned very well. Proteins were good quality especially the chicken thighs. Loved the mix of veggies but wish there were more noodles! Banh mi - the banh mi was the perfect balance! The grilled beef had tons of flavor -- a sweet caramelized flavor. The bread was nice and airy which is rare and we love the picked veggies and jalapeño helps balance out the meat and bread. This is a good pho place and the Vietnamese crepe (banh xeo) is exactly how I love it!!! I asked the waiter multiple times if it was crispy (like a chip), and it did not disappoint! The only thing is they really skimp on the meat and the noodle portion. We live in Orange County, so I have a pretty good metric in the average amount of food for a pho bowl. I got a large bowl with extra noodles and it was just enough to feed my two noodle-loving toddlers with some leftover bites. Having made pho myself, it's not that much overhead cost to give an appropriate amount of noodles. I think it felt like a large bowl, no extra noodles. Regardless, the broth tastes great, nice and clear, and at least they do not skimp on the broth amount! Back to the Banh Xeo- it is really crispy. It was probably the best bite I had in Fallbrook. Could use a little more lettuce and veggies (no cucumbers), but nothing to complain too much about. The crepe itself was the star and delicious. The egg rolls were average. Crispy, but the filling lacked flavor. Nothing noteworthy about them. Side note: We were a bit hungry still leaving (the adults). But there is a woman selling tamales outside in the same lot and because we left hungry, the blessing in disguise was we got 2 of those, and they were extra bomb! Great prices. Please keep it that way! Flavor was delicious. Broth was okay but I am very picky with my pho broth and would say it's an 8/10 being on the nice side and 6/10 being on the picky side. Our first visit to Pho-Tastic was pretty good considering this restaurant is located in the heart of Fallbrook. Here's what I discovered upon visiting this new eatery: Ambience: great design, clean and modern. I really like the way the restaurant is set up into mini booths throughout the space. Service: this was good but not great. Greeted at the door by friendly staff. The follow up was good, but it took a while to order our entrees since the girls were talking about their personal lives while we waited patiently for them to notice we were ready to order. Also, we had to ask them to clear our dirty appetizer dishes as we were already eating our main entrees. Food Quality: Really good. The fresh shrimp and pork rolls were good but hubby felt the flavor was kind of bland even with the peanut sauce. We also ordered the crispy egg rolls - those were amazing! The rare steak pho was great with good flavor on the broth and noodle consistency (they were not overcooked). Hubby had the beef and broccoli and he said that was really good. The jasmine milk tea with boba was also a hit. Overall Cost: good. We spent about $50 for 2 people that included 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, and 1 specialty drink. Keep prices stable. Would I come back? Updating review after realizing their wings PROBABLY include fish sauce and I just didn't know that was the style. I suggest adding that to the description of the wings on the menu. I have been here twice now since the new ownership. Just as the first visit the dish I ordered was good. I can't remember what I ordered the first time. This visit, I ordered the E1- Photastic Plate! It was all three meats, beef, port and chicken with broken rice. This also included salad, soup and egg roll. You do have to order rice separately. I really enjoyed this order and will suggest it to friends and family. On my next visit hopefully when we have cooler weather I will try the Pho soup options. The service both times were great. The server checked in with me often to see how everything was tasting and if I needed anything. The place is well kept. The tables don't smell like it was wiped down with a dirty towel, like it did prior to new owners. The music and tv sound were at a comfortable level not having to yell over each other. Such a great find in Fallbrook. Pho Tastic is fantastic. We have been meaning to give this place a try and so happy we did. The restaurant sits near Major Market in a shopping plaza with loads of parking. The restaurant is bright and clean with plenty of comfortable seating options. Menus in hand and cold water at the table we place our order of shrimp spring rolls to share and then we both opted for the large chicken pho. It is 12:30 and the restaurant is packed. Servers all have smiles on their faces, courteous and very helpful. Spring rolls arrive followed shortly by the hot chicken pho. I sample the pho broth and am impressed by the clean yet vibrant flavors it possessed. The spring roll was incredibly fresh and the peanut sauce was bursting with flavor. The sauce and roll was a match made in heaven. I added herbs and chili oil to my pho and began my adventure to flavor town. It was indeed a first class experience as every bite and every slurp were delicious. The noodles were so good and the chicken was perfect, no gristle, no fat, no skin and no damn bones. Just fresh chicken. There is not many choices for pho in Fallbrook. Not to be concerned because Pho Tastic is one of the best Pho restaurants in all North San Diego County. We just ate there for the second time since they've been opened and are happy to report that the food and service was just as enjoyable as our first visit a few weeks ago. I came in for a single pickup order, and the staff made me feel extremely uncomfortable for not leaving a tip. I've worked in the food industry for 14 years, and I would never treat a guest that way--especially over a takeout order. Tipping is optional, and no customer should be made to feel guilty or unwelcome for their choice. Treating guests like that is very bad for business.Because of how I was treated, I won't be returning. I'd rather drive to Temecula to Boiling Pho where the service is always friendly and I'm treated with respect.
