Weekday lunch 11:45 AM A three start for this area. I went for classic Pho (beef raw) $8.29. The size of bowl is big as most places. The topping portion was larger than I'm custom to, especially fresh bean sprouts. But the sprouts weren't freshest comparing to where I'm from. I also wished raw meat had pink color in the center, or at least to some. What I enjoyed was the thinly sliced fresh jalapeño. It had a very nice kick to rather dull soup. But toward to the end, all flavors infused well with Hoisin sauce that I added later as to introduce another flavor, sweetness. My Hubby's Banh Mi BBQ pork was not traditional, no cilantro, cucumber, or must have; sweet pickled carrots and daikon. Instead it had shredded cabbage(?) with tiny shredded carrots. But the pork itself was tasty. Overall, it's just not authentic, adjusting to American palate. I find Vietnamese ice coffee to be fine, but for my hubby (coffee connoisseur) thought lacked in coffee flavor. What was refreshing of this place was the staff. I enjoyed her look, short hair with dark framed glasses. Her presence made this place young, fresh, and trendy. Also, it's a very LGBT friendly place. I found a new found love this year, and it's name is Pho! This place has the best pho that I've had thus far. I haven't worked up the courage to try the Pho King Challenge, but I've had most of the items on the menu. My favorite is the Bo hue, though lately I've been ordering the Pho with rare beef. They have varieties of noodles, proteins, and toppings to choose from to your preference. Highly recommend! read more

Unassuming place with a good selection of soup based entrees like their namesake, Pho, and other tasty treats like Bohn Me sandwiches. With their use of Roasted Chicken (suspiciously tasting of Rotisserie chicken) I'm not entirely sure they're exactly the Most authentic. But unlike other Pho places in town, their pho isn't oily and over salted. Spacious place, which is kinda decorated like they just moved in, so ambiance is definitely lacking. What a delightful vietnamese surpise along Apalachee Parkway. The cuisine caught me by surprise. The spicy tofu rice dish and traditional spring rolls sedated my taste buds. Wow, the spicy tofu was incredible. It was not too spicy and it was not even noticeable until swallowed, allowing me to continue enjoying each bite. The spring rolls were the right anount of crunchy on the outaide and warm on the inside. While the food was delicious, the restaurants cleanliness was lacking. Friend was craving pho the other night and, after living down the road from this place for over a year, we remembered it was there. I got a pho broth with udon noodles and it really hit the spot and was a nice comforting evening meal. Friend got the traditional pho and for a picky eater was pretty happy. Definitely recommend getting an appetizer or side item if you're craving a bigger meal. For the reasonable prices it's totally worth it. I've been to "Pho Me" on a few occasions now and they are up at the top as far as Vietnamese style places go in Tallahassee. The only one I would put at their level or above is Far East Cuisine, but that is because their menu is more eclectic and wide-ranging than Pho Me is, In my opinion. Anyways, I have had the Pho here and it is pretty good, but what I really enjoy are the Bahn Mi sandwiches here. I usually get the BBQ Pork or the Shrimp and they come with the standard Bahn Mi fixin's which include pickled veggies and some mayo all on a baguette. My pork and shrimp Bahn Mi's were both very well cooked and the flavors pop out at you from the first bite to the last. You can also add a little sriracha to your Bahn Mi if you want more of a kick. Also, a must try if you are having your cheat day are the Nutella Donuts. They are really good and I love the raspberry sauce they drizzle on top of them. A nice touch to break up the thickness of the breading. Parking shouldn't be an issue here as there are several spaces to get a spot. Pho me is definitely a place worth seeking out if you're in the mood for something different in Tallahassee. read more

I'm giving it 4 stars because the broth was pretty bland, but they couldn't use the traditional recipe since it was vegan and pho is supposed to be kinda custom flavored at your table. I wanted to give a fair review so I came back on a normal day and I was sure glad I did. I ordered what I did the first time which was the rare beef pho. Pho Me is right. I had never tried Vietnamese prior to coming here, but several people I was with have. All of our food was really good. I had the vegan pho (~$10), which was interesting and fantastic. The other people with me had various forms of the pho ($~10-12) and they loved it. For a dessert, one person tried the cheesecake spring roll, which was bizarre choice for a Vietnamese restaurant but great as a dessert. TAKE SOME PRIDE IN WHAT YOU DO... I should have known when I walked in the front door but I really needed some Pho while in town on business. Fresh summer rolls - all was fine except for the tiny shrimp that possibly came from a can and the dipping sauce. What was that sauce??!? It was basically a hard, grainy scoop of something resembling peanut butter. How long had that been drying out? Pho - bland broth, grainy noodles, hardly any beef, lack of cilantro. I almost want to ask if the server was joking when she set down the plate of sprouts/basil/lime/jalapeno. 1 sprig of brown and dried out basil and the sprouts were worse. They were immediately pushed to the side. Pho without massive amount of basil and fresh sprouts = a big no no. I'm not trying to bash your business but Vietnamese cuisine is a beautiful thing. I hate to be a meanie or one to write a bad review, but I was very disappointed with my experience here. On a chilly night my friend and I were down to try this new place and see if it was any good. With a catchy name like Pho Me we were intrigued. This is not like your typical Pho place. Once you enter you order at the register and pay right away. The menu lists a bunch of types of soups with different noodles and broths to choose from. There are a few salads or sandwiches here, but to me it is strictly for Pho. I ordered the Build Your Own Soup Bowl, with Pho noodles, Spicy Broth, Rare Beef, Well Done Flank, Tripe, and Spicy Tofu. I was excited to try this and hoped for the best. There were a few disappointments that occurred. For one, the broth was so minimal and pathetic that all the meat and veggies just sat dry at the top. It needs to flow high up so everything can soak and get warmed up. Which brings me to flaw number 2 of the room temperature broth. The meat never cooked and looked pink the whole time. It was cold that the bean sprouts tasted raw and hard. I tried to compensate by adding fish oil, sriracha, and hoisin but it did not succeed. Oh and they do not sell Vietnamese iced coffee....what a sin. Maybe I came at a bad time of the night, but I really have experienced better elsewhere. pho me.... read more

I am vietnamese and I have had my share of pho in my 35 years of life. I must say that this pho experience was less than ideal, especially considering a bowl of pho was $12. Where to begin... 1) Thought it was strange that ordering occurred at a counter and not after being seated. Definitely gave the "fast food" feeling rather than sitting down for an authentic vietnamese dinner at a restaurant. 2) As people know, the broth of the pho will make or break the meal. It wasn't the worse broth I had ever experienced, but it wasn't something to recommend to others. It was oily and lacked the authentic flavor. 3) Missed key ingredient such as bean sprouts. When I asked for bean sprouts, the staff told me that their shipment didn't come in today. My advice to the owner is that less than 2 miles away are supermarkets with bean sprouts. 4) Size of bowl and amount of meat not worth the $12 price tag. I've been to many other pho restaurants from California to Atlanta and a $12 bowl would consists of enough food to feed two adults. Not so much at this establishment. I send this review to not only provide my opinion, but to hopefully make the owner realize a few areas to improve. I have eaten at their previous location at railroad road and the quality was much better. I'm concerned that now that you have a larger and nicer building, you are having to cut corners on the quality of the meal and raise the price just to make enough for the lease of the new building. Pho is one of my favorite foods so when Pho Me was slated to open, I was ecstatic. I have given this place a try twice now and now am disappointed that I got my hopes so high up. First problem: Portion sizes - The broth wasn't enough to cover the noodles in the bowl. This wasn't because there was an overabundance of noodles. I was upset that I couldn't even get my veggies in there. The meat was also lacking. There were exactly 5 pieces the one time I counted. :(. Second problem: Price - For the portion, it is very overpriced. I would actually be okay with a pho place that had a smaller portion for a scaled down price. The price is slightly higher than the competing areas (although this week, I saw that Pho 7 had raised their prices to Pho Me's. Isn't capitalism supposed to work the opposite way?!) Third problem: Broth - Everyone who eats pho knows that the broth is key. This broth (both times) were too salty for my taste. It makes it harder to make out the other components of the broth. I hope they kick it up with their portion prices and their broth. I used to go when they were in Railroad square and it was better than. I think its the same family so I am hoping that they are just working out the kinks in their new kitchen. Maybe I will give them a try in a few months, but until then, blech read more

Fantastic food!! This was my first experience with Pho. I had the basic broth with rice noodles, steak, bamboo shoots, and mushrooms. I will definitely go back whenever I am in the Tallahassee area. The counter help (Sheldon) was super friendly and was very helpful in answering my questions. Since it was my first time, I wasn't very adventurous with my meal selection. I ordered a shrimp pho, and a beef pho to go. The restaurant its self was pretty clean and nicely decorated. The food was affordable and came at a reasonable time. The broth along with the shrimp were but in big styrofoam bowl cup thing. Perfect for eating right out of if you don't have a huge bowl. The noodles, bean sprouts, cilantro, lime, jalapeños, sriracha, and fish sauce were in a take out platter. There was a lot of beef and shrimp in both meals. Especially for the price. This was my first experience with Pho(pronounced fuh). This place is new and very clean with a simple and easy to understand menu. I can't compare their pho to any other place but I enjoyed it. The broth was delicious and the vegetables were fresh. I took a star away because I finished the bowl, which is a rather large portion, and I was still hungry. I'm a weightlifter and I have a pretty big appetite but for $10 I expect to be full when I leave a short order place(it's one of my criteria). But this time my friends and I received slight rude attitude for just asking for some lime and jalapeños, when it's usually brought out with pho. We asked for limes/jalapeños and received 3 thin slices of lime and 4 slivers of jalapeños for 3 people to share. When we asked for more, the person who worked there literally huffed and turned away to bring us more, along with a little more attitude. She put them down on the table and rhetorically asked "can I get you some more?". We don't expect a cheery attitude but didn't expect the attitude received when asking for a side our pho usually comes with.
