Service is kinda hit or miss sometimes but we've never had a bad experience. Food is always delicious and fresh. The only thing I think you guys need is a liquor license! You have a beautiful bar space, and I would probably be here daily if you served alcoholic beverages. read more

I'm going to be honest if this the pho midway of the past it would be a 100/5 every time. Ever since they changed ownership the quality isn't the best. Portions aren't as good, options are limited, sauce looks like jello. It's really a shame because I loved coming here every other week or so. This was my favorite spot. I will forever cherish memories of coming here during lunch and picking up for dinner after work. Very kind and patient owner. After the switch the flavor isn't just the same, portions are worse, and I know they're being cheap to save money. This would be a 2 but I'm giving a 3 just for the name. It's hard finding decent Vietnamese cuisine in Dallas. Was craving banh mi so decided to go on GrubHub and order a couple of their Saigon Classic banh mi sandwiches (which is what we grew up eating) from Pho Midway and it was pretty good (I always want more pate, haha). We ended up also ordering a bowl of their Pho Dac Biet and an order of crab Rangoon. Was so pleased to open the bag and find that the bean sprouts weren't browning like they usually are when we order pho - they were fresh, crunchy, and delicious along with the rest of the herbs! The broth was a little bland (pho broth shouldn't be strong in flavor but should have some depth to it) but nothing a little hoisin or sriracha couldn't fix. Better bland than too salty. The Crab Rangoon was different, but in a good way; it was made with eggroll wrapper instead of the usual wonton skins and it was filled with a good amount of cream cheese (not as much crab) and served with sweet chili sauce (which is better than the cloyingly sweet red sauce that comes with Crab Rangoon at most restaurants). I called for takeout, like I have several times from here before. I got a bahn mi sandwich and a shrimp pho. I asked the guy on the phone for extra soy sauce because I knew I was out of it. He says "we don't recommend soy sauce, we recommend you use siracha and hoisin". I said " I understand that, and I have both of those but I would like soy sauce as well". Then he repeats himself saying they don't recommend that and states well unless you are using it on the sandwich?? I said no again I understand your recommendation, but would like soy sauce please. I did not get any soy sauce in my to go order :( What does it matter to you how I am using it? It is a condiment you offer free of charge to everyone. This is not a great way to run a business! Maybe I like to drink soy sauce. You don't know.. Well, either way I probably will not return. Good luck keeping customers this way!! Update: I just got a call from what I assume is the owner. He found my number from me calling for takeout last night. He sincerely apologized for the kid on the phone. I appreciate the phone call and him going out of his way to make it right! I never pass a new Pho spot and was excited to see it open near my house. I tried the chicken spring rolls which were not bad the chicken is grilled and has the flavor of chicken grilled over flame. It was not what I was expecting but good. I went during lunch and picked the special Pho Tai for 6.99. Great price for a huge bowl. I always taste the broth before adding anything to it. It was a bit salty and didn't have the rich flavor of my favorite spots. Once all the veggies and sirrachi sauce is added it was pretty much a standard bowl of pho. The service needs a bit of work, my waiter was pretty awkward but tried his best. He seemed to get more comfortable as we went along. Hopefully they will improve with time and I will stop by to check on their progress. read more

Well, so this Saturday night at 845pm i roll up to get my favorite spring rolls with garlic their chilli paste after speeding down the street. i walk in and she yells (the girl at the register)"are you here for a pick up" i said no i just need to place an order she says "we're closed so sorry bye" since they close at 9pm. just rude. i go there all the time. but effectivly today will never eat there again. I was really excited when I found out how close this place is to my work location (5 minutes drive). I went there last week, and saw a sign they were closed for business for that particular day. I went yesterday, waited in line for 20 minutes to get my order started, but while I was waiting, I saw a table with four people sitting with their menu, looking around, with no drinks. I assumed they had been waiting for a while with no service. There were two girls at the bar, told me they had been waiting for over 30 minutes for their food, and they only ordered pho. Another couple, had been waiting approximately 20 minutes themselves. Not sure what happened the last two times I went there, but from my two experiences, I was not pleased. I am sure the food is good, but cannot comment because I didn't get to eat any, but the service wasn't. I have never waited so long at any pho restaurant, especially for pho. Stopped in on a Wednesday at 12:15. There were only 3 other tables. I was seated quickly and got my drink. Two other tables came in, were seated, orders taken and I'm still sitting here with my menu. After waving at them a few times (they smiled so I know they saw me) no one ever came to place my order. After sitting there for 20 min I just got up and left. Sad, I was excited to give them a try. Theo pho broth is alway tasty. Now the chicken sometimes is undercook very chewy and has a weird nasty chicken smell. This has happened to us 2 times. Dumplings are actually tasty and meaty but very doughy on the edges idk if they are frozen or made that way overall they are good. read more

This is the best pho up here in N. Dallas. I would say they're up to par with Pho Pasteur in Arlington (which is the best down south). My gf and I are from CA where pho is abundant and I personally believe that qualifies us to give this 5 review. Let's begin! We always order our favorites (at any pho spot): for myself it's Pho Dac Biet, (aka deluxe, special, or combo pho), and grilled pork spring rolls. For my gf it's Pho Tai and egg rolls. We order appetizers to carry us through the 5 minutes we have to wait for the pho. First thing we dive into when we get the soup is the broth. I've never had good broth and bad everything else. Usually if the broth isn't good then the rest will follow as such. Pho Midway's broth definitely has rich flavor. There cuts of brisket, steak, and flank are tender as well. After being seated, we waited for more than 10 minutes for someone to come by and get even a drink order. We noticed a table of 5 that came in after us that, yet they had their order taken before us. We had to flag someone down to get our order taken. I had the Pho with flank and brisket and my wife had the combination with grilled pork and shrimp. My pho was just kinda "meh" and wasn't anything special. I would personally drive a few more minutes to Addison to get something better. The Mrs. wasn't impressed either. Egg rolls are awesome, crispy dumplings are perfect. I had shaken beef for lunch and grilled pork with eggs over rice for dinner. So good. Great value. My family and I had lunch here on a wet Sunday afternoon because my husband wanted Vietnamese. We decided to try this new place out since it's five minutes away from home and we are so glad we did. The pho was tasty and meatballs tender. The broth was flavorful but not fatty. The portions were good and food was fresh and hot. I got the crispy chicken dry with soup bowl on the side. I am glad I took our waiter's advise to I try it because the skin on the chicken was crispy, delicious, and the chicken was moist and tender, not dry! The combination was perfect with egg noodles and vegetables. My husband enjoyed his pork banh mi sandwich with crispy crab Rangoon. The wrap on the Rangoons were thin, crispy and not greasy like other Asian restaurants make theirs. We all thoroughly enjoyed our lunch very much , me, my two boys and husband .
