Spicy Edamame

Came back here and just tried their veggie egg rolls and veggie dumpling and both were great. Egg rolls were perfectly crisp and the filling in the veggie dumpling was tasty, especially paired with the sauce. Love this place!

this is my go to ramen place and it never fails me. their spicy edamame is delicious as well as their spicy miso

Hinodeya always has my heart. Ramen here is always delicious. I love their broths a dashi based broth so it's lighter, their noodles are so springy and thiccc! I love you can add spinach and kale to it giving you a different texture from other ramen shops. Lemon slices in ramen?! It surprisingly works! I appreciate the innovative approach to the humble bowl of good ramen. I got the beef sukiyaki and my bf ordered spicy miso special. We added the chicken karage appetiser and it was tasty. Staff was really cool and didn't pressure us after clearing our bowl. Great place!

Was craving some ramen, so I decided to checkout Hinodeya Ramen! Given that it's in Lower Greenville, the parking situation isn't the best. It's a small lot with limited spots, so I felt pretty lucky snagging one. Inside, it's spacious with a nice mix of tables, booths, and a bar area. I tried the Hinodeya ramen. It was solid overall, but the flavor didn't quite hit the mark for me, it could've used a bit more depth in comparison to the best bowls of ramen I've had. The other important ramen components to me, the ramen egg and chashu, were good but just not the most flavorful or tender/soft I've had. We also ordered the Tonkotsu ramen, and I preferred the tonkotsu broth, which was executed well. I wish they had the seasonings on the table like most other ramen restaurants I've been to. I will say the noodles are probably the highlight as they had great texture and thickness. Based on my judgement, I do think the noodles are made from scratch, which is definitely a plus in my book. For appetizers, we got the chicken nanban (Japanese fried chicken with tartar sauce) and takoyaki. Both were tasty starters. The chicken nanban was an interesting but delicious combination. The takoyaki was slightly undercooked to me. Overall, service was good, the host and waiting staff were friendly. All around, not a bad spot if you're craving ramen. It's not the absolute best I've been to but i enjoyed my meal and the experience.

Spicy Miso Special

Loved this hidden but not hidden gem. Plenty of seating for a small establishment but still small business feel for a multi-state business. The service was perfect, the food came to the table quickly, and the flavor was excellent. We tried the gyoza, spicy edamame, Spicy Miso Special, Hinodeya Special, and Beef Shikiyaki ramen. They all were tasty and the spice level was adjustable as expected.

Spicy miso

Had the spicy miso and it was delicious! Broth was very flavorful and I got it at their regular spice level as it comes and it was perfect, spicy but not overly too much. Service was fast and helpful! Would come back.

Always love this place!!! I got the Butter Miso Ramen (spicy version) and I loved everything about it! My favorite part was definitely the bamboo shoots. Also got a peach juice drink (I can't remember the name unfortunately) which was also good! the service was great and the space had very ambient lighting and seating. I definitely recommend and will totally be going back!!

Creamy Special Ramen

It was my first time, and I'm glad I ordered the creamy special the way it came. She told me that their "spicy" was just progressively more and more chili oil and cayenne pepper, and I figured it would already be oily. I asked for sriracha instead, and I'm grateful, because any extra oil would have hurt my stomach more than it already did. It's good, just wish they used less oil! And didn't charge for spice!

My friend brought me here for lunch, because she said this was the best ramen she has ever had. The place is small inside. We were sat right away and given some complimentary water. Their water tasted so good!! So crisp and refreshing. We ordered some dumplings and vegetable spring rolls and they were both so so good. For my meal I ordered the Tonkatsu Special Ramen and it was absolutely amazing. The ramen was flavorful and the pork was nice and tender. Definitely one of the best I have had, I will be coming back for more.

Shrimp Tempura Curry

This was our Supper Club dinner spot for February. Very good ! I had the tempura shrimp, curry, hot level three. Another person in the group had Ramen with muscles and another person had Ramen with chicken. Can I say next time I go I am going to get the Ramen with muscles. They were tender. They were flavorful. The whole dish was good. And what other person just got tempura shrimp and rice and we had the spring rolls as an appetizer.and the octopus balls. Everything that we ate or sampled from one another was absolutely delicious. The service there was impeccable the wait staff amazing, just a beautiful experience all the way around. The bide is very divvy, come casual type of restaurant, anybody would feel comfortable there. It was just a great experience. I will post pictures later I forgot my phone! But never fear someone else did!

Hinodeya Special Ramen
Tashana L.

Yum! I loved the ramen at Hinodeya. This place has some of the most flavorful ramen i've had in the area, definitely a local favorite. My favorite is the Hinodeya special. Large portions for a great price. We only paid around $55 total for 2 ramen bowls, shrimp dumplings, calamari, and mango lemonade. Everything was delicious and the service was great. The restaurant isn't very spacious, not great for large groups. I definitely recommend if you're looking for quality ramen for a good price.

Honestly, if you told me, I'd find Tokyo train station energy in the middle of Dallas, I'd assume you mixed up your flight connections. First the service. Crazy good. Fast, friendly, shockingly, competent, and basically everything you don't mentally prepare for when someone says, let's get Ramen in Texas. It's more attentive than what I'm used to standing Ramen, to be honest basically they are self serve. So if the service is bad at your own fault. Finding the place, however? A quest. Google, yelp, Apple maps all tried their best and still acted like I was searching for the lost city of Atlantis. Even now, I'm not convinced I can find it again without divine intervention. A treasure hunt for Ramen at the end of the rainbow is only cardio I'm signing up for. Confession, I'm not even a Ramen fan. Like at all. And yet. OMG. I ordered the weekly special, the Rose cream Ramen, which is basically Korean tteobokki rose sauce but instead of chewy rice cakes, you get chewy Ramen noodles living their best life. It's creamy, spicy, comforting, and absolutely worth popping a Lactaid for. Lactose intolerant folks, unite and suffer intolerance together and noodle induced bliss. I have to admit this bowl was spot on amazing. Honestly, better than the instant Ramen I tossed into my Rose tteobokki at home, and I don't say that lightly because that combo has carried me through some dark times. Parking? Well let's just say walking from far away was a blessing. After inhaling that bowl, I needed to trek a walk of the incoming food coma, that was swallowing me whole. Impossible to find. Impossible not to love. And absolutely impossible to believe it's in Dallas, Texas.

Place was pretty empty, but again, had just opened its doors for its day! Restaurant was clean and modern. There is a section that has a few stairs, so if you have any accessibility issues I would call ahead and ask for a table on the top part of the restaurant. I asked if they had mimosas in which the server replied they did not. However, she came back shortly after and said they could make an exception! I appreciated that and thought it was a nice gesture. Overall, service was really great and attentive. At no point did our water glasses go empty, and we placed our orders super quick. For lunch, I had the Spicy Creamy V Ramen. My friend had Tonkotsu Black. We also split an order of the French fries. Overall, the ramen was very tasty. It wasn't spicy at all, but I appreciate that JINYA includes sauces on the table to add to your ramen. The toppings (onions, tofu, etc.) were delicious and fresh. I also felt super full after only a few bites and took the rest home - well worth the price! My friend enjoyed his meal as well. The French fries needed a bit more salt, but only if you didn't use the dipping sauces. Which you would be crazy not to do so, as they are delicious. Overall, we enjoyed our trip and would definitely be back for a quick, affordable lunch.

I've also tried coming here before, and there was also a long wait. I'm glad I decided to stick it out this time. We ordered the Wagyu sushi, Yakitori, Tonkotsu Miso Ramen, and the Tomato Ramen. The Wagyu sushi is torched right in front of you! The Wagyu was incredibly tender and the sauce was delicious. My only *nitpicky* critique is the rice was ever so slightly too moist, but that didn't stop me from inhaling the sushi. Next, the Yakitori was phenomenal. I've never had such tender chicken in my life. There was a nice layer of delicious sauce coating the skewer. Again, just a really nitpicky feedback I have was that I wish the Yakitori had the tiniest bit more char to it, but nevertheless was an incredible bite, and I'd 100% order again in a heartbeat. Onto the ramen - easily hands down one of the best ramen I've had in DFW. The broth is flavorful, and I love the noodles. I'm not sure if they're handmade from scratch, but they had the perfect thickness and chewiness. I also loved generous the portion of cha shu slices. Most other places only give you 1-2 thin slices, but that was not the case here. The pork was tender. The ajitama was solid too, although I prefer more of a soft-boiled egg. While the meat portion is more generous here, the tonkotsu didn't come with many vegetables. A lot of other ramen places I've been to will have corn, fried garlic, etc as default, but those are all additional cost add-ons here. The ramen was delicious without them though but just something to note. We also got the tomato ramen as it's the chef recommendation. The dish is very creative and the execution was great. Personally, I still prefer traditional ramens but it was certainly a nice culinary creation to try. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and would come here again. Just be aware there may be a wait, and because they're so busy, you do have to proactively flag down staff. However, the staff are still really nice despite all the tasks they're juggling at once.

Parking wasn't bad either, there are lots and a garage nearby. However, the food itself fell flat for me. We ordered the crispy chicken happy hour special, which comes with a side salad. The chicken was on the dry side. Whenever I order Kaarage, it usually comes with a dipping sauce, but there was none here and that would've really helped out. The dressing on the side salad was way too acidic, making it hard to eat as well. In addition, we ordered the takoyaki as an appetizer. The takoyaki themselves were pretty solid, but the texture of the mayo was off. I'm not sure if they make their mayo in-house, but i noticed it was curdled. EDIT: after reading the restaurant's response, the texture I noticed was because it's an egg tartar sauce For the ramen, we ordered Jinya Tonkotsu Black and Creamy Veggie Ramen. Pricing is standard for DFW ramen restaurants, although *slightly* higher than some others (by like $1). The base ramen comes with a good variety of toppings! However, the ramen was just okay. The noodles are on the skinnier side, which I prefer thicker, chewier noodles. The pork chashu serving was small, and it tasted kind of old and wasn't that tender nor flavorful. The broth was just alright. I prefer soft-boiled, jammy ramen eggs, but the ajitama here was cooked longer than I would've liked. Ironically, I thought the veggie ramen was *much* better. The broth had better flavor, and they use different noodles than the tonkotsu, which were thicker (and exactly what I like!). Lastly, we had the matcha tiramisu for dessert. On a positive note, the matcha flavor was detectable. However, the tiramisu crème wasn't that fluffy, and there were noticeable amounts of undissolved sugar.
