This spot has been on my list for maybe almost a decade and we finally got to eat there last week. Seasonal yuzu shio tsukemen was delightful and the noodles were bouncy and chewy. Karaage was pretty dry and tough but the age mochi was great. Shishitos also good but it's hard to mess those up. Eggplant itself was not particularly well cooked but the savory blueberry miso sauce on it was great. Mentaiko don was tiny and not much was done to it, so recommend trying some of the other dons and ramens out instead. Really like that they give you the option of adding noodles for an additional fee because we had a lot of dipping broth left and just got some more noodles to go with it! Service was warm and the ambience was super cute. Would definitely come back for ramen and to try some of the other options. Hoping the construction situation in Deep Ellum becomes less untenable soon! read more

Service was noticeably slower and we had to ask for basic things like drink refills, which hasn't been our experience in the past. I've had lots of ramen in Tokyo, NYC, Austin, and everywhere in DFW. Sadly there isn't much in the metroplex that's authentic scratch-made high-quality and fresh. This place changes everything. Food here is good. Avocado salad is very good and the chicken kaarage is great with the lemon juice on it. The signature ramen is great, you can get it with the chili on the side. As someone who has pork dietary restrictions, this is the best thing that ever happened to me and my love of ramen. Prior to learning about Ichigoh from of my favorite bartender (George who is also Japanese), i hesitated to go to ramen restaurants. George has never steered me wrong! Look, this place is just solid. Gotta love the speakeasy style entrance (meaning it's just a door with no real signage) to a very cool ambiance inside. Our waiter was very friendly and accommodating. The only sad part of the experience was that the bartender wasn't working yet so we didn't get to order any specialty cocktails from the bar. Love Ichigoh, always have. Food is amazing every time. Leaving a lower star review because we came in at 9:25, they close at 10 which we were aware of we just knew we could be quick. We sat down at our table and the waitress says "the kitchen closes at 9:30 just letting you know". At this point it's 9:28 so we have two minutes to figure out what we want. I just don't understand the point of putting your hours at 10:00 PM if your kitchen closes at 9:30. After this we just felt super rushed and uncomfortable to ask for anything. We ended up eating and leaving by 9:50 PM still not the last ones to leave by the way. Just irked me I guess I know it's rude to go in 30 minutes before closing but also don't make your hours a certain time if you're not going to provide good customer service until that time! read more

They were not busy but we did have to wait for them to clean a table before getting seated for our party of 3. We were looking forward to the ramen since it was a freezing night. The decor and lighting had a nice vibe inside. We were hungry so we shared quite a few appetizers. They were all really good, especially the: Seasoned mushrooms Kinoko, Shishito Peppers, Eggplants Nasu Dengaku, Agedashi Tofu & Karaage Fried Chicken. The only one we didn't care for was the fried aged mochi. Note that all the appetizers are small in size so you can explore a few. For raman, I thought it was interesting that they had chicken broth even though it was served with pork belly chashu. I ordered the Ichigoh Miso Special which was unique with ginger and butter. Hubby got the soupless Tan Tan Mazemen and our friend got spicy shoyu. TBH I was so stuffed after all the appetizers that I couldn't finish my ramen even though it was quite tasty. This place feels hidden in plain site. Located in Deep Ellum you wouldn't know it was there unless you were going to it. It gives it a cool vibe. The decor and lighting feel very classy as well. I like that they had a lot of unique appetizers and ramens to try. I find them to be a bit slow coming around to take orders. When i was ready for the check even though we had been waiting i had to wave someone over. There was also an issue with my check. I was billed for 4 entrees when we only had 3. When i told them about it they argued with me over which the third entree was and which needed to be removed. There was a $1 price difference so i didn't care i just didn't want to pay for 4 bowls of ramen when we only had 3. I ordered the special ramen of the month- black garlic oil pork ribs ramen. It was delish and made people in my party jealous with how good it looked. I added on the egg since it did not come with one. The meat fell off the bone. The chicken in the tori paitan was dry. The broth in all the ramens were very tasty. For appetizers we got the yaki mochi and pork gyoza. The gyoza were good, pretty standard. The mochi was extremely salty. I wish they would indicate on the menu how many pieces you receive with the appetizers. Mochi is hard to split apart with no knife when you have 2 pieces and 3 people. We happened to find this place thanks to a very lengthy Reddit comment about great food places in Dallas. It was within walking distance of our hotel, and it was quite chilly which made it the perfect place to go. Even with Google maps, it took us a minute to find it because of how nondescript the door was. We were immediately seated, but we noticed that it started to fill up pretty quicky soon after! The food was AMAZING! As a vegetarian, it can be difficult to find ramen I can eat. Not only does Ichigoh have vegetarian/vegan ramen, but they have THREE!! That is unheard of and made me feel like they really cared about their customers with dietary restrictions. Each of the three ramens were unique and thoughtfully crafted. We ended up getting some veggie buns to share and our own spicy miso ramen. Both items were DELICIOUS! At some point, I was too full to continue eating but forced myself to keep trying because it felt like a sin to waste such amazing ramen. Their drinks were also delightful. I ordered a strawberry mojito and it was super refreshing and light. I will say that the service was a little slow, but we didn't mind. It's a small shop with a small staff, so it's to be expected. Great Japanese owned spot. It is incognito from the street and so pretty hard to find, so make sure you don't walk by it like we did. Luckily we turned around and found it on our second pass. We sat at the bar and had very reasonably priced Japanese whiskey and tasty unique yuzu ramen. The owner and her daughter was super nice too, would highly recommend giving this spot a try. This is the best ramen - specifically paitan - spot in Dallas. The noodles are Al dente, the broth rich, meat tender and flavorful, ajitama consistent and perfect each time (does cost extra though). The apps are amazing also. Service friendly professional and swift. Perfect spot for a date night or casual catch up. They have GF noodles available however - if you have gluten allergy, would not risk it here. My friend felt ill after despite notifying the kitchen of her gluten allergy. They did not seem to understand that having a gluten allergy goes beyond switching out the noodles.. that said, my friend did say that that was one of the best GF ramen noodles she's had. We suspect that the tofu skin they offered may had soy but not 100% sure what got contaminated. read more

We almost wanted our gloves - it was January timeframe when we went. Aside from the temperature and service, the food was phenomenal. This is my favorite ramen in Dallas. It is authentic, and the people there are really nice. They take their ramen seriously. My favorite is probably the Yuzu Shio, but I rotate between several, and often try their monthly specials. Most ramen places I've been to in DFW taste overpowering and one dimensional. I find the broth at Ichigoh very balanced, and closest to the ones I've tried in Japan. Nothing else in the city comes close IMO. read more

My brother has been wanting to go to this Ramen restaurant for a while... and finally, we both had time at the same time to go, it was worth the wait. My brother had ordered some shintio peppers. Which were very tasty with the salt that they brought with them. And then he had avocado salad and a bowl of Ramen and I had three of the appetizers the eggplant with blueberry miso sauce, the eggplant and pork with ginger, and then the pork ribs. The eggplant with blueberry was not a taste I was expecting, but it was really tasty. It wasn't sweet. It had that slightly sour taste from the blueberry and the miso just elevated it and of course, the grilled eggplant was delicious. The eggplant and pork were chopped up, in bigger chunks. But both were cooked deliciously and the soy ginger glaze was very tasty on top. I was almost too full to try the ribs, but I was gonna give it a try. And it was excellent. I think my favorite dish of the night. So tender and the barbecue sauce on it was delicious, more of a soy based barbecue sauce not really a Texas barbecue sauce. I only got about a third of the way through it and so the other 2/3 I took home and I am planning on making little homemade hand rolled tacos out of them. It is gonna be so tasty tomorrow. I know what I'm having for lunch. The weight staff were very, very helpful, I was a little late and they were taking and entertaining my brother before I got there. The best place for ramen in the DFW area! We heard that this place was very good but it exceeded our expectations. This location is in Deep Ellum and it was difficult to find. They have paid parking right in front of their location and they have a cherry blossom mural in front of their store. They don't have a giant sign so I suggest looking up their storefront photo so you know what it looks like. They don't accept reservations and we went around 2PM on a Sunday and there was no line at all. We were quickly seated and the server took our drink orders. We ordered the Ichigoh Special Miso, Yuzu Paitan, and Nasu Dengaku. The broth and chasu of both ramen bowls were amazing! It wasn't too salty and it was very creamy for chicken broth (a good thing!). I usually like to order pork broth for my ramen because it is thicker and more flavorful than chicken broth, but this was not the case for Ichigoh Ramen. Also, their ramen bowls don't come with the egg so I ordered that on the side. The Nasu Dengaku was our "foodie" order since it was blueberry miso on eggplant. Surprisingly, blueberry and miso go well together! The blueberry was sweet and the miso was salty so they cancelled out. You can't taste the eggplant very much but it was a very good texture (not mushy). Finally, the ambiance was very good - There was a lot of seating and the music wasn't super loud!
