My god honest experience at this facility is as follows : I'll get straight to the point, after completing my meal I got up to use the bathroom, while in the bathroom stall I could hear two male individuals conspiring to inhale a powder like substance, loud nasal inhaling sounds followed soon after, upon exiting the bathroom stall I was attempting to wash my hands when the two men cornered me and began demanding I tell them what "gang" I'm in. I was wearing a black champion hoodie and jeans with zero indication that I am their opposition. They did not seem to take my word for it that I have no affiliation to any criminal organization. one of them attempted to remove my glasses. with his right hand he made swift yet intoxicated grab attempted at my face, his fingers made contact with my forehead lifting my glasses into the air, before he was able to remove my glasses he was met with brief wrist manipulation while I created distance between myself and the aggressors. They had walked up behind me with the distance of about a few inches while I was washing my hands causing me to be alerted of potential danger, I genuinely felt bad for these individuals and attempted to de escalate further by reiterating i am not a gang member, one of the two men realized the error of their ways and put his body in between his associate and myself, while demanding his associate "leave him alone", referring to myself. His associate was attempting to charge at me aggressively. When I noticed there was an opening between these two, I simply walked away and returned to my table. They followed me to my table, and began threatening to kill my friend, there were people video Recording this interaction as it was rather loud, one of the males began yelling at my friend, claiming that he had his 4 year old son in the car outside, and that he could brandish his concealed firearm and "shoot"my friend "if he wanted to", I am uncertain what relevance his child neglect had to his following threats. He had stated this while using vulgar profanity and gang related rhetoric. Again, on video. The only reason why we could not immediately leave was due to the fact that we were waiting to be assisted by any member of staff to pay our tab. Multiple Staff noticed this interaction and simply sat watching, or walked by as if nothing was going on, they should have called the police, yet they stood around and let this happen, where was the security? They watched as if they wanted to see something happen. While this was going on, a literal pregnant woman, collapsed on the floor after consuming too much alcohol, her associates were being loud enough about the encounter that the entire place could hear that this woman was 7 months pregnant, clearly. I witnessed her be dragged away by her associates. Upon exchange of brief dialogue our aggressors began to randomly become hostile with our neighboring table, conveniently enough all Of a sudden our waiter came by and collected our payments, we left immediately. This is unacceptable. I am doing too well in life to make this up. I pray the owners of this facility become mindful of what's happening in their establishment before someone less patient than myself causes a major lawsuit. Last night we were looking for a place to eat and we decided to have Vietnamese soup so we got there at Pho Nation around 9:30 pm and didn't get our order at 9:45. So the guy got our order and we've been waiting nearly close to 45 minutes and I noticed new people just coming in and they got their order already. What kind of place is this and they keep saying I'm sorry I'm sorry. And I noticed that they have new staff. No one even bothered to check on us so I ask the waiter what is the status of our food and he said it's a big mixup but that's not an excuse. His asking me what do you want to do. Very sad. I came here to eat in person once and got delivery from this place many times. It's one of the few places that opens late night in Alameda. This is a Vietnamese restaurant but at night this place gives clubbing vibes because it is semi dark and the music is so loud. There is also security guard at the entrance. This place is very spacious. It is good for groups because there are long tables. Once I had delivery for two orders of chicken pho on a Friday night. Both orders were disappointing because the pho noodles (packaged separately from broth) seemed over cooked with majority short noodles so it was difficult to grip with chopsticks. After trying their pho in person and delivery, their pho is average, it wasn't something I would re-order anymore. However, I really like their House Special Vermicelli with grilled chicken, grilled pork, and shrimp. I came across this place after attending a local brewery. We were in a group of 11 people celebrating a birthday on a Saturday night and we wanted to enjoy some pho for dinner. When we walked in, we were pleasantly surprised. They had clouds above some of the seating and it flashed different colors! it's super cute. They had a DJ playing all the old school hits. Side Note: I believe they only have Djs on the weekend, but not entirely sure. They even have an area for karaoke. As you can imagine, there's a lot going on and its pretty loud inside. Not to mention they had a decent variety of different cocktails and they don't close until 2 am ! I ordered the number 3 (Pho rare Steak and Beef Balls). I would rate this a 4/5. The broth was good and they have all the right sauces except for not having the Rooster brand Sriracha, but to be expected since it's so hard to find that anywhere! Aside from that, their pho was good. As for drinks, I ordered the Peachy Mama. This drink was the best drink of the night, and I had a few that night. It is pleasantly sweet(definitely on the sweeter side) but I found it to be super refreshing and enjoyable. Overall, this is definitely more than just a Pho restaurant. I have to say ... very suspicious looking from the outside ... first time here and I am impressed. I ordered t take out and was very shocked at how neatly it was packed. Nothing spilled either. 2/15/2023 - Late night dinner. This establishment opened 2 months ago. Very large and roomy interior with super high ceilings. Great for large parties and gatherings. Even for sports fan because there are multiple tv's mounted on the wall with a bar. Service is very down-to-earth. Only saw young people so the vibe is definitely...(what's the word I'm looking for?)... "vibin" lol Pho comes in 1 size - Large. So get ready to share if you have a small appetite. Broth was delicious! Very well balanced - not too oily, not salty, not MSG driven - it tasted clean. Generous meat and veggie portions. Spring rolls are also large in size, peanut sauce was well seasoned and well made. The consistency wasn't thick like paste or loose like water. I loved that they had veggie options for egg rolls. As someone who is highly allergic to pork, this was a happy discovery. I might be wrong, but it seemed like they make the egg rolls in house. It didn't taste like the packaged kinds. Thai ice tea was good. Bitter-to-creamy-to-sweet ratio was spot on. I don't like it when places over sweetens their Thai iced tea. It kills the genuine taste of the tea. I truly feel Pho Nation is going to be a new favorite among neighbors and neighboring cities because from appetizers to their noodle soups to the drinks, everything was clean and well-balanced. Wow, didn't realize that Alameda has a pho spot that opens so late. It was a cold night, so I was looking for some soup goodness, but most places were already closed. Thank god it's still open at Pho Nation! Parking at night was easy since most stores were already closed. There was English music playing inside and with the tinted windows, it felt weird being a pho place. There is also a bar as well. The menu is really limited, with a few pho soups, and some vermicelli noodles, egg rolls, etc. We ordered 2 beef soups, 1 pho combo, and 1 pho with rare steak and beef brisket. Pho came out in a few minutes. The pho was really simple and it was alright. In a pinch if nothing is open, I would come here, but if there are other pho places open, I would skip it. There's a new player in the East Bay pho scene, and they got game! Pho Nation has opened only a few weeks as of this review, but it's clear they know how to compete. We ordered the Pho Nation Combo #1. The broth came out steaming hot and cooked our rare beef, ordered on the side, very quickly. The beef soup also looked and tasted clearer to me than the typical Bay Area pho, more like northern Vietnam style. This was a great pace-change. One knock though is that the noodles were a little clumpy at some parts. We also tried the Combo Rice Plate #1. All of the protein were grilled to a tasty char, but they were also all a little dry. The side bowl of soup, though, was the best I've ever had with a Vietnamese rice plate. A hint of sweetness with an infusion of white radish, akin to Cantonese soups. And get it while it's hot! $5 appetizers and beer for the grand opening special during the month of December. We had the fried chicken skin appetizer. A novel concept, but some of the skins were underdone and not crispy enough. Also, after I checked, they let me know the kitchen doesn't close until 1:30 AM. Yeah! Finally, those pre-pandemic late nights are back! On the whole, the food came very fast. The space is expansive with an energetic vibe. And one of the owners and the server teamed together to offer very attentive and enthusiastic service. It's also a great place to watch games with big screens at the bar. I was super hungry after a Lany concert and this was the only place I saw that opened late . My bestie Chi comes here a lot and recommended it . I was a little intimidated from the music lol but it was a whole ass vibe . We had the chicken wings, pork belly ,French fries ,and calamari. Nothing disappointed . So happy to finally have a place that opens late past 10pm!!! This place reminds me of those pho restaurants in SJ where they open until 2am. All the employees are very nice and attentive. You don't have to wait around for a long time just to get something from a staff. The beef brisket and rare steak in the pho is so soft and not hard/super chewy. I don't think I've ever paid for got tea at any restaurant especially when they offer it alongside water which is free. Then we got the spring rolls which those were my favorite part of the meal. They tasted fresh but they were $10 for just 2 rolls. The soup itself was good but I only got it with 1 meat and it was $16. Not to mention the Thai teas were $6 each. Overall the food was good but nothing outstanding. There is better and cheaper pho out there. Oh and the lighting in the back booths was very dim and at some tables you could barely see your food. Personally I'd give this place a high 3.8 outta 5. The food was really yummy (we got the Grilled Shrimp Vermicelli and the Combo Pho) but the vibes were really confusing as people that were just looking for something to eat after a concert haha. We came around 11:30 and when you walk in, you're immediately greeted by light, a dance floor and a DJ but if you keep walking to the back, theres tables where people are eating pho. First time coming into Pho Nation, I've heard good things from a few friends about their pho. Went in with a friend and have dinner, and the place is very spacious. They have a bar you can sit at and pretty good amount of tables for you to sit and eat. It wasn't too busy, so when we got in we were able to choose any table we would like to sit at. Service was fast, right when we sat down the server brought us menus and gave us water. She was very nice and attentive. My friend and I ordered the Pho Combination #1, chicken wings, and fried egg rolls. I gotta say, my friends were right about the pho. The broth was very flavorful and I loved it! Good amount of meat and the noodles weren't overcooked or undercooked, it was just right. The chicken wings were okay and the egg rolls were pretty good. It could be that I was super cold before heading into the restaurant that made me favor the pho more than the appetizers, but I suggest people to give the appetizers a try. Everyone is different. I had dinner for one and I ordered well done brisket pho. The beef in my soup tasted an old and very tough pieces the taste was horrible. I also ordered calamari appetizer and that came after my pho which I wanted before my soup. 20 min into eating my food I was randomly brought my check and I never asked for it yet, I was still eating my food. The other guests checks haven't dropped as they were eating and the restaurant doesnt close until 2am it was 9:55 pm. The service was mediocre and I felt rushed to leave the place while eating. My coworkers and I love coming here after a swing shift to decompress. I believe they're open from 5pm-2am which is perfect for us because we get off at midnight. It gives us just enough time for a quick round of drinks and some snacks There's plenty of street parking and it's easy to find the place because they always have some bangers playing. I will say, it's a little bit too loud on the weekends, almost deafening (but maybe that's just me getting old). I've tried several of their cocktails and they're all super good, leaning towards the sweeter palette. Silly me, I've never tried their pho.
