I wanted to try a pho spot that was close by work and I'm so glad I came across this restaurant! I was intrigued by their lunch special ($13.99) which comes with pho, spring rolls, and a drink. My coworker got the Combo Rice plate lunch special which included BBQ pork, eggrolls, and a drink. It's a pretty solid deal and we were both really full by the end (I had to take my pho home in a to-go container). Aside from that, we also ordered the A7 wings with their house special sauce. The food here overall is delicious! I really loved their house special/fish sauce wings. It was full of flavor and the chicken was perfectly fried. As for the pho and spring roll, everything tasted pretty good! It's not the best pho I've ever had in Houston but it definitely fixes that craving. We visited Pho Nhi on a Sunday morning. The restaurant is conveniently located in an area of town that we frequent, but most of our previous visits have been to pick up to-go orders. There is plenty of parking out front. The staff is very friendly and greets you promptly when you walk in. Everything is very clean and the tables are not on top of each other. We always dine on vietnamese eggrolls, meatless pho, and charcoal pork spring rolls. The food is consistently delicious. We will continue to be back and hope that you give them a try. read more

The place was little not kept. food pieces on the floor & table. i wanted to like this place so bad. but first when i arrive im just standing there, had to seat myself. When i finally did again im just sitting there, no one has greeted me, asked for my order even to get my drink order. & the place is not that big so the server seen me. However I seen another server go and take a table across from me drink order & asked if they needed to go cups. At this point i haven't even received a menu. i had to get up and go ask the waiter if they the orders at the front. Got the short rib pho & it was so tough. Usually it's suppose to fall off the bone. Before seeing a movie at AMC, we were looking for a spot to grab dinner close by. Pho Ni ended up being just that. This Vietnamese restaurant is located right around the corner. It's in a shopping center so parking won't be an issue. I ordered the bo bu lac (shaking beef)---one of my favorite Vietnamese dishes. And this one was arguably the best one I've ever had. First off, a generous portion of tasty rice. And then a little salad with some fresh tomatoes and cucumbers. From there, the beef was tender, cooked just right, and the marinade was delicious. It's one of those meals where you're tempted to lick your plate. It was that good. The service was friendly. Looking forward to trying out some more things on their menu next time around! read more

Came back to try the pho and didn't forget to get the sizzling tofu again. Everything was amazing as usual. The pho broth here is really rich and tasty and the pickled garlic appears to be a recently new added condiment for each table. My grandma wanted to try out a new vietnamese restaurant so i took her here. We both got the beef vermicelli bowl with egg rolls. The noodles that came with this dish was cooked well and not too mushy. The beef was really good. i loved the marinade and they gave you a lot of meat. The food here was amazing. We ordered the Chicken wings with the house sauce for an appetizer. They were freshly made and the sauce was like a mild teriyaki flavor with a hint of sweetness. I ordered the Ultimate Meat Pho (one of the specials) and I was not disappointed. They advertise it was a meat lovers pho including meat still on the bone and filet mignon. It was a bit pricier but they don't short you on the meat. The broth was okay but honestly, the quality and flavor of the beef carries it. I ordered a Thai Milk Tea which was not very sweet at all but was quite refreshing. We noticed the time it took for us to get our food was a lot longer compared to other Pho restaurants but it wasn't that bad. The service was fine, our waitress wanted to take a picture of our wings but it was too late as we had only 2 left. I ordered Pho Nhi from DoorDash. This has been the best discovery ever. I ordered one night for dinner and ended up ordering again the very next evening! The first night I ordered tofu spring rolls, the oxtail pho and chè thái sầu riêng for dessert and the salted kumquat with soda to drink. The salted kumquat with soda was so delicious. Sweet, tart, salty and fizzy. So refreshing. The spring rolls were a good size and quite fresh, the tofu was thicc. The oxtail pho I could eat for a week but the real winner for me was the chè thái sầu riêng, which they translate to "Thai sweet gruel with Durian". I love Durian. LOVE IT. I am a born and bred Texan of Irish and Mexican descent and I'm so glad there's finally a Vietnamese place in the Clearlake area with a dessert like this. It's essentially several types of fruit (Durian, Jackfruit, lychee, probably some rambutan and other classic Vietnamese fruits in syrup), tapioca pearls and agar agar strips with half n half poured over shaved ice. There's so many flavors, textures and things going on. Get the one without Durian for picky eaters. The following evening I ordered the charcoal chicken cheese fries with sweet Thai chili sauce and spicy mayo. Yeah. You read that right. And it's the most delicious thing I've ever eaten. I was wanting some nice hot Pho, and this place gave me the perfect fix on this cold afternoon, what makes it even better was that it's right outside my complex. Upon arrival it's in a small strip across from my Kroger shopping center, it's definitely a mom and pop shop and their food is absolutely fabulous. I ordered their tofu spring rolls, you get the choice of two or four, and let me tell you, they pack these bad boys up! They were so delicious, they soak their shredded carrots as well which gives them a fresh pickled taste, it's different than what I'm used to but it was excellent! The peanut sauce that came with it too was also very tasty, it didn't taste like any other one that I've had before with spring rolls, so that was a nice surprise as well. Their chicken pho is great as well, their sizes are small, large, and extra large, but their small was more than enough to fill me up. The broth is very flavorful and the chicken is shredded. Both these dishes came out to be inexpensive, I believe my bill was only $20. I cannot wait to come back and try something else, I'm so glad I found this place close to my new home! read more
