Ordered the maki combo for takeout and it was fairly average - nothing outstanding but nothing terrible either. For $17.95, getting 3 rolls of sushi isn't a bad deal, so I'm giving this a 4/5. The combo comes with a spicy tuna roll, a california roll, and a salmon avocado roll. Spicy Tuna Roll: This was pretty disappointing. I really love spicy tuna rolls that have the minced tuna, spicy mayo, and tempura flakes all mixed together, but this was not that. This roll was a tuna cucumber roll with spicy mayo drizzled on top. With that, the spicy mayo was really overpowering and I couldn't taste the tuna at all. I'd prefer the normal tempura and mayo taste or just a tuna and cucumber, but doing it this way wasn't my favorite. California Roll: This was not bad - the imitation crab was big and plump and there was fish roe inside of the roll instead of on the outside which made it have a better texture in my opinion. The avocado was fresh and these bites were pretty enjoyable. Salmon Avocado Roll - This was the best roll of the 3 - the salmon tasted good and the avocado was fresh again. I love the amount of options this place has, didn't realize it was Vietnamese Thai fusion! I got the pad see ew which was awesome, and my friend got the pho which I was able to try and enjoyed. I've drove past this restaurant so many times and finally decided to try it out. The servers were so friendly and the food came out incredibly fast. We ordered the Dac Biet Pho, crispy chicken pad Thai, and Chicken Satay. This might be my favorite Pad Thai in the area and the portion size was huge!!! The Chicken for the Chicken Satay was perfectly cooked and so juice and the peanut sauce was the best. I will say the parking is so limited and kind of scary to back out of so be mindful of that! The parking is limited but it is there. It handles maybe 5 or 6 cars. Rather hard to maneuver my car especially with lots of traffic on the street. I started off with spring rolls that had rice wraps encasing lettuce, carrots, a strip of zuchinni and some Chinese cabbage. I thought the spring rolls were overpriced at 8.00 I had pho Ga that had plenty of shredded chicken, noodles and bean sprouts on the side. I would have preferred a few more bean sprout. Great for weight-watchers. I swear I loose weight when I eat Vietnamese food. The place filled up while I was there with Vietnamese people which was a good sign. If they let me it, it has to be good. I ordered Thai takeout as this restaurant has a good reputation for good, safe gluten-free options. The menu is well marked. The Chicken in the Garden meal has a delicious peanut sauce. The Massaman Curry was decent. Neither dish had as much flavor as I prefer (I like strong flavors and these were exceptionally mild flavored). The portion sizes were acceptable and the packaging was well done. The order was ready when indicated. The menu and website stare there is a 5% discount for ordering direct. That was not honored. The website also requires a tip amount be entered to place the order, which seems presumptuous on takeout. There is a small parking lot next to the restaurant. I'm sure it fills up quickly. After getting takeout a few times from here, we finally ate in as a family. I started off a bit skeptical at first because the restaurant has Thai and Vietnamese dishes. Usually that's a red flag for not being good at either. But turns out, they nailed both. The tom yum soup is our go-to. They have two sizes. The other Thai dishes are also tasty. The pad Thai, chicken satay, and mango sticky rice are all quite good. And their soft shell crab dish is also garlicky good. On the Vietnamese side of the house, all of their pho dishes are yummy and rich. Finally, this was the first time we dined in, and the service was as good as the food. Our server offered our family a stand for the iPhone my son was watching videos on. And the service was attentive and considerate. We will be back, likely for takeout again. read more

Small quaint pho shop nestled right off of Arsenal Mall. We came in on a Friday evening to a semi-full house and was able to get a table for 2 quickly. The vibe is very warm and cozy. We started with scallion pancakes as appetizers and ordered a vegetarian pho and a pad Thai as our main dish. The food was all very tasty although the portions are on the smaller side. The pancakes were super crispy and served with ginger sauce. Our main dishes were quite average and couldn't find anything noteworthy compared to other Vietnamese/pho shops. The broth felt a little lacking, but maybe because we opted for no meat. The place is located conveniently near Arsenal Yard however, it is still a bit of a walk if you plan to come here from the shopping area of "The Yard". If you do plan to drive here, be warned the parking lot is very limited and can be challenging to pull out because of how cars are parked and on a very busy road. Similar to the parking lot, the restaurant is small but well decorated and has a cozy feeling. Unfortunately and I always seem to get an elbow or a bump from someone when I'm in here so just be ready to share you personal space when you come here. I have come to rather enjoy taking my order home and enjoy my meal while in the comfort of my home. The curries here are very well balanced. I'm a sucker for red curry and shrimp. There is nice heat and sweet creamy coconut milk. The two dishes I can't seem to not order when I come here is the Drunken Noodle and their Pad Thai. Unfortunately this is a miss for me. My husband and I came here for lunch on a Saturday. The restaurant was a bit chilly when they first opened but warmed up quickly. It was a quiet lunch as we were one of two parties but we did notice a few people coming in for take out. Since this place was called 'pho' O sha, we figured we would try their pho. They have Thai and Vietnamese options. I ordered the pho tai ($10.95). The pho only comes in one size and it's a smaller size than your typical 'regular' size pho. The beef was tender, but the soup was very bland. I was suspicious when I saw how clear the soup was. Definitely needs the added sriracha and hoisin sauce. Also was disappointed that the soup wasn't piping hot. No jalapeños, but did come with beansprouts/lime/basil. I saw an article from the Boston globe on the wall that said the chef is Thai. Perhaps we tried the wrong cuisine at this restaurant. Would return to try the Thai food when in the area, but not exactly going to rush back. read more

Wow. One of the only times I've ordered a duck entree at a Thai restaurant where it was amazing. Cooked beautiful. Slightly crispy skin and outside, juicy and tender meat. They don't skimp out on the portion of the duck too. Great size for the price. Served with a side of Chinese Broccoli and I was also pleasantly surprised the vegetables weren't just plain and steamed but also had its own unique garlicky sauce as well. Only critique is I wish there were more vegetables honestly. The tom yum soup was the perfect combination of sweet, sour, and umami. For $6, the bowl is generous and comes with a ton of mushrooms and a few pieces of shrimp. Such a pleasant, satisfying meal. Will be back to try more of their big menu. read more

The dac biet was okay - wish the broth flavor were richer, and wish that the noodles didn't stick together in transport. The pad see ew was rather weak - generic dark sauce as flavoring, with vegetables that were sometimes undercooked or raw. I am visiting Boston, and popped in here at an odd meal hour for a very late lunch -- 3:30pm -- and my daughter and I were the only dine-in customers at that hour. I could see that they were still busy with preparing delivery orders the whole time. It seems to be a local favorite for take out. Very sweet people, friendly attentive service, delicious food. I said "medium" spicy and it wasn't spicy at all, so if you like spicy then ask for hot! I had green curry with chicken and it was delicious & flavorful. I ate every morsel. My daughter ordered a chicken dish I forget the name of, and I realize after leaving that I didn't get a picture of the back side of the menu... her chicken & rice dish also comes optionally with a fried egg on top which she didn't want. We also had fresh rolls and the only negative thing I have to say is that the fresh roll didn't come with peanut sauce. I didn't notice that it was an option to pay extra for peanut sauce until I was more than half done so I skipped it. Most places serve those together, so that was a small negative. The ambiance was pleasant and informal, comfortable, cute. There are nice big windows with a view outside, and bright murals all over the exterior of the building. Came here for a nice dinner when visiting Boston and I did not disappoint. We were looking for an Asian place and this definitely hit the spot. Inside it feels like a nice relaxed diner and the service was very friendly as we were ass were in the mood for and what types of items on the menu might complement what we're feeling. I ended up on a roasted duck rice plate, which also came with vegetables. I had a flight the next morning so I wasn't sure about getting too involved with spice so I got mild, but my friend got a spicy chicken dish and that had a really nice touch of heat. For dessert we got a mango sticky rice, which was amazing. I'm also a little biased because mango sticky rice is one of my favourite desserts. Overall, if you're looking for a quick, nice Thai or Vietnamese meal at an affordable price I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant. read more

I often passed by this restaurant, and decided to try it one day. And it was just okay. The server was very nice, food came out in a timely manner, but their pho was slightly disappointing. Their shrimp appetizer was great, but their pho was missing the depth in their broth and noodles were overcooked a tad. I would try it again though in case it was just an off day! read more
