If you haven't been here yet, run don't walk! Menu was super interesting, fusion mix of everything. Asian food, seafood, burgers, etc. It's smaller plates to share. Some standouts were the smash burger and Korean cauliflower buns. The buns were almost like orange chicken but cauliflower with a really delicious spicy mayo. Burger may have been one of the best I have had in Boston. Our server was so nice and accommodating. Everything we ordered we liked. Not a single bad bite. I'm not a sweets person but the sticky toffee pudding was great. This is a really large restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. We came at 6:15 on a Friday night and after about 45 minutes it started to get pretty full. They take online reservations. 10/10. Will be coming back to try more of the menu items which they update frequently.

This place was such a great surprise. I booked reservations not knowing what to expect and I was overwhelmed by how good it was. First the service. Our waitress was so friendly and helpful. She gave us great information and made us feel so comfortable that we really enjoyed the whole experience. Next the food was so good!!! The duck buns, the noodles, and the dumplings were all so good! I also tried the oysters bodega style and kimchi style. It was so different than I'd had anywhere else and so good. I'm really glad I tried it! Their churros for dessert were made in house and fresh. Filled with caramel and with chocolate dipping sauce. Finally the drink options were fun and delicious. This is a definite stop if you are looking for delicious food and a comfortable setting.

An ever changing menu with a few staple items that has quickly risen to the top of my favorite Boston restaurants list. Oysters: pricey but a must try if you love oysters. Buttermilk fried chicken: this was good and the skin was cooked perfectly, but I don't think it's a must get. Lomo saltado: delicious with great flavors! Peking ravioli pork dumpling: these could be a pass in my opinion. They were still good but in my head are just a dumpling. Korean fried cauliflower buns: oh my god these were the star of the show. Definitely must try! Even if you don't like cauliflower, I promise you these buns are out of this world. Our server was also amazing and so kind. Fun vibe overall and I can't wait to go back to try more things.

Haven't had a chance to try this spot in person, but what I got delivered was great and will go out of my way to try more and especially in person. I had: Lobster "rolls" (really good) House fried rice (very unique, fantastic)

I came to Brighton Bodega on Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving) and it was moderately busy. We had a reservation and we were seated quickly. I ordered the sannø cocktail which was light and sweet. My favorite dish was the lobster roll starter - the lobster was delicious and more tender than I've had on Cape Cod, and I liked that the butter came on the side so we could customize how buttery it was. We shared the broccoli, which came over rice noodles with peanut sauce, and the fried rice. The two vegetable entrees were good and the portion sizes are very generous. The servers and staff were super friendly too!

A gem in Brighton mass -- super nice restaurant with an eclectic menu and something for everyone. Does get pricy because prices are in the $20-24 range and it's small plates so you're expected to order more than 1 per person. I loved how the menu is Asian, middle eastern, Mexican, American, all the above! Really loved the nashville hot chicken bao buns! The harissa tomatoes were fabulous! And the Vietnamese oysters were so great! They had so much flavor and were not like a standard oyster.

Came in for dinner right at sunset, we sat on the patio and had a really wonderful time. Anna was our server, she was the best! Food was yummy, and I had a glass of wine which was perfect. Middle of September so the weather was just right. Thank you Anna and team at Brighton Bodega!

OMG!!!! The food was absolutely amazing! We had mussels which were incredible! We had Miso grilled octopus, truffle stuffed gnocchi, and house fried rice and an order of Nashville chicken steamed buns. Each dish was unique in flavors. Great decor! And our waitress was very attentive! Don't pass this place up!

fun spot with lots of interesting dishes! we sat outside and the ambiance was very cute with the string lights and lanterns. dishes we tried - korean fried cauliflower buns: 10/10 I did not expect to ever enjoy cauliflower this much - ragu gnocchi: flavorful comfort food, nice pillowy texture - peking ravioli dumplings: nothing special but solid dumplings - scallion pancakes w/ figs: experimental combination, the flavors were very subtle; it was not great but not bad - may pass on this - churros: plentiful portions, delicious vanilla gelato service was excellent; attentive and friendly. they said the menu changes frequently so would definitely come another time to try different dishes.

Our dinner here was spectacular! We loved the food, ambiance and service. The dishes were so flavorful. Everyone who works here was so good to us and super helpful. They accommodated our request to sit at a corner table and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. Even the hostess was so nice and helpful. Our server was Tess and she is amazing. She is the most compassionate server I have ever met and mind you, I eat out a lot. She is super patient and also very helpful with suggestions on the menu. She knows the menu very well and gives her honest opinion. When we ate here, it was our first time dining outside with our newborn and I was feeling anxious and overwhelmed. But Tess helped us so much without any judgement. She was very accommodating. We need more people like her in this world. Thank you Tess for making my first dinner outside with my baby a memorable one.

Came for the drinks & food and stayed for the service and ambience. Roisin is the best! She's such a delight. We can't wait to come back!

Coming right when they open I was able to see these things that you would likely not see in the evening. But to be fair I came right when they opened since it is first come first serve. A majority of the drinks were more on the savory side which was very interesting like "may all your bacon burn" with bacon bites at the top of the drink. The drinks my friend had were all stunning with the use of egg yolk to elevate the drink. We ended the evening by walking over to Bow Market and trying Viet Citron which was so DANG GOOD my gosh. The to go orders were insane but looks like they are doing very well despite recently opening in. I got the grilled lemongrass pork ribs bowl and youtiao and the side sauce was so good. The ribs were all very meaty. It looks small but I was surprised how full I was after having it. Nice night of drinks and food. We walked into a spacious, contemporary space with a large bar and plenty of seating, the kind of place that works equally well for watching a game with friends or a relaxed dinner. The interior had a comfortable, polished energy that struck a balance between lively and approachable, and the extensive beer and whiskey selection added to the inviting atmosphere. The menu goes beyond typical bar food with a mix of elevated comfort dishes, burgers, sandwiches, seafood, and seasonal entrées. We ordered a few items and found the Chilean sea bass standing out, paired with a flavorful sauce that complemented the fish without overpowering it. The lamb with gnocchi was another popular choice, offering a hearty and well-balanced dish with tender meat and pillowy gnocchi that absorbed the rich sauce. The burgers were cooked to order and made a reliable option for something more casual, arriving juicy and well assembled. For drinks and appetizers, the calamari, burrata, and flatbreads were good options to share, each coming out fresh and well seasoned. The bar program was another highlight, with a wide selection of craft beers, whiskey, and classic cocktails that were well prepared and paired naturally with the food. Service was friendly and welcoming, with staff happy to make recommendations and accommodate different group sizes. While some visits could experience slower service during busy periods, the overall experience tended to be attentive, and the team worked to create a comfortable atmosphere for both families and larger groups. The pacing of the meal stayed steady, and the food came out without much delay. Parking is available in a small lot, though it could fill up during peak dining hours, and the restaurant's location near shopping on Needham Street made it a convenient stop before or after running errands. Overall, District 118 Kitchen & Bar is a solid choice for anyone looking for elevated pub fare in a relaxed setting. The combination of quality food, a strong drink selection, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it equally enjoyable for a casual lunch, dinner with family, or an evening out with friends.

Come here for a social event? Perhaps? Expecting reasonable service is unlikely to be realized. The…read moreservice was poor and the minimal food I had access to was fair at best. I attended an event being held at this restaurant and was surprised and disappointed in the restaurant. The networking event itself is not being reviewed here. So where to start... accessing the restaurant was a bit of a nightmare. The garage (parking is $4-24) was the only place to park and the elevators were out of order and the garage was dimly lit. It was frankly not safe. The driveways were partially blocked for construction which I had to navigate around as a pedestrian. This is not realistically accessible for those who have mobility limitations (the temporary attempts at ramps are not usable with a wheelchair). I was given beverage menus after arrival. They were extremely hard to read as the lighting was turned down. I did manage to read it when I put the menu directly under a pendant. The beer and wine selections looked interesting! I was looking for something non-alcoholic and there was no water readily available nor offered. There were a few (maybe 4) mocktails on the menu-they looked interesting so I got one that resembled a mule (ginger beer based). I ordered one so I wouldn't be empty handed as I talked with people, especially at a networking event. The server gave it to me and made a point of saying "here is your mocktail" (which itself is not unreasonable; referring it by its name or "beverage" is much more appropriate in those circumstances as the drink type and alcohol content or lack thereof is not anyone else's business). The food menu never appeared. The appetizers that were left out for the group were picked over and unappetizing. Cold fried calamari that has been sitting out? No thanks. A cheese and cracker board with no crackers and no serving implements? No thanks. There were two flatbreads there-I had a small square of each and these were ok. About 15 minutes before the event was scheduled to end the server asked me if I wanted another mocktail. I responded with an affirmative. I assumed he had canceled the order as the event ended. As I was getting ready to leave when the event ended (I had my jacket on at that point and he had validated my parking!), he brings over the mocktail and says "here is your mocktail" and sets it on the high top table where it just sat as I left for home. I have no idea if he charged the hosts for the beverage. I left hungry. I left a bit thirsty. I left surprisingly frustrated at the restaurant. When I arrived home, I made myself dinner. Fortunately, I enjoyed meeting new people as the event itself was interesting.
