I got takeout from here recently and was pleasantly surprised! Usually pho is tough to eat from takeout because of all the assembly, but the packaging was very good. I had my first vegetarian pho (pho chay) and loved it! The broth was very flavorful, especially with the added hoisin sauce and sriracha. There were plenty of veggies, and the portion size was huge. However I only got about 5 small cubes of tofu and they forgot my add-on egg, which I paid $2 extra for. :( I also had the veggie summer rolls with sauce. This was also delicious! Pho O-Sha is located on Arsenal Street by the corner gas station by School Street. They have a mini parking lot which I decided to back into to make for an easier departure. Four steps lead up to their entrance via a small hallway that houses their bathrooms - two individual restrooms marked for each gender. The restaurant itself has a narrow dining space consisting of four tables for 2 along the right wall, and 6 tables for 4 by the window overlooking Arsenal Street. There may be another couple of tables around the corner from their host station, but they weren't set up for customers on this particular evening. Sparsely decorated, you won't be coming here for the ambiance. Take-out seems to be more their thing. Service was quite good. They took it upon themselves to inform us of the discount for cash payments, which was also clearly posted at their host station. Not only was our water glasses refilled, but they even offered to refill the hot water mugs. Since we opted to share a number of dishes family style for our dinner, they proceeded to bring us plates and chopsticks. Chicken Pad Thai $9.95 Pineapple Fried Rice $9.95 Sesame Beef $13.95 Tamarind Crispy Duck $15.95 Grilled Pork Chop served with rice and salad $11.95 Thai BBQ Chicken served with sticky rice and papaya salad $14.95 Meats tender, veggies crisp. It was a good meal. Only thing, we weren't warned by either the menu nor verbally that the papaya salad was spicy (though I figured, since it generally is). Wow!! This place exceeded my expectations! Ever since my favorite Thai place closed down, I have been on the hunt for the next best Tom yum soup. This Tom yum was everything I dreamed of: sour, sweet & spicy with succulent shrimp. I was also craving pho and tried their delicious bun Bo hue which had tender meat, a flavorful broth and soft noodles. So yummy! My partner got the pad Thai with crispy chicken and I can confirm it was a 10/10. The only downside to the visit was that the pho came out luke warm which was a bit off putting, but it was delicious nonetheless. We were also served 2 Thai iced teas when only asked for one. This is my Go to local Thai food place I will have to say that the Tom Kha Gai is the best I've EVER had so good I always crave this! It usually comes with chicken. But I always get it with either vegetables or tofu. The summers rolls and peanut sauce are good for a healthy appetizer nothing special but the sauce makes up for it. The pho vegetable brother has a great flavor and I love all the stuff that comes with it. I will say the noodles weren't cooked correctly therefore they didn't come apart when hot it was just clunks off noodles. Overall I would recommend this place for takeout. We visited once craving some pho (of course). We were a bit spoiled in CA with so many solid options so we were hoping for a treat. I give the service and atmosphere a solid 3 stars but the food we ordered particularly gets 2.5 at best. We ordered pho and some roti type dish. The kids liked that appetizer a lot (we ordered a second). But I was underwhelmed by the pho. We did order vegetarian so perhaps the non veg options are much better (trying to jibe the many 4-5 star reviews with pho that I thought was 2.5 at best for us). Broth didn't have a strong flavor and they had no lime, bean sprout basil plate to add to the pho. We may have caught them during a supply issue. But our food just wasn't that awesome. Kind of set up like a Diner. Clean place. While staff was attentive and friendly, they did forget our soup. Fried Dumplings were very good. My Green Curry struck the right balance between spicy & tasty. One other thing about the place was a large screen video of a person walking through the streets of Bangkok, apparently with a video camera strapped to his chest. Omg! I can not believe I have never tried this restaurant! What a find! So excited to support another Watertown Restaurant. The food was delicious. Had the chicken wings, Bun Bo Hue, chili crispy duck. The broth was delicious, the wings had a delicious sauce and the duck was yummy. Perfectly cooked and the sauce had a lovely flavor. There are definitely better options for Pho in the Boston area, but I will probably return here at some point due to the convenience of their location. Food: I ordered the bun bo hue, which was only mildly spicy, while my wife ordered the pho dac biet. The broth itself wasn't bad for either soup, but we've had better. While having dinner a patron came in and explained that last night his change was $10 short. He recounted the order and how much he put in the tip jar. His accounting was precise to the penny. The manager recalled the transaction and commented the tip was more than $10. The customer seemed confused. The manager returned the $10. The customer apologetically said, "keep it". Not sure how this place has above 4 star rating but ordered a Pad See Ew with crispy chicken, in the picture you can tell that they likely used some old oil with turned it into dark brown deep fried chicken. Quite unacceptable in my opinion. And you probably thought they had a fork or spoon under it but no, they somehow thought it can be eaten with a knife. The spoon there actually came with the crispy rolls for the sauce. Pho O-Sha is very close to my work and also has a great online interface for placing orders for pick-up or delivery. I decided to try it after getting back from holidays out of town and not having anything to make for lunch. Thai food has been a very hit/miss experience for me. Having experienced some very authentic Thai cuisine I feel like a lot of the offerings that Americans come to associate with Thai are dumbed down, not very flavorful, or very muted compared to the actual authentic dishes. I always get the same thing the first time I got to a new Thai place - Tom Kah soup and Pad Thai. This gives me a pretty good idea as to the type of establishment I'm eating at and helps me baseline my experience if I choose to get a little more "adventurous" in later visits. The Pad Thai tasted fresh, the noodles still had a bit of "chew" to them and were not a ball of mush. It did not have a bunch of oil added to the dish creating an "oil-slick" in my mouth. The added spice (requested 4/5 heat) was basic, adding flavor and heat without being overbearing. There were no sprouts in the dish but it did have the scallions/green onions and egg which are basic parts of the dish. The shrimp (which I chose among a bunch of different protein options) were plump, fresh, and perfectly cooked. While there were not a ton of them (4 large-jumbo to be exact), it added to the sauce used to cook the noodles and I'd rather have fewer higher quality shrimp than a bunch of lower quality to seem like more is better. Was it the best or my favorite Pad Thai? No, but it also was nowhere near the worst I've had either. It is pretty much smack in the middle of my spectrum of experience at about 2/3 the price of what I normally pay for such a dish which is a great value in my mind. The Tom Kah experience was better but similar in the spectrum of the various types I have had over the years. It brings that same creamy, spicy, and tangy profile with a good amount of mushrooms and chicken (or veggies if you aren't a meat fan). The spice used was your basic chili peppers and not overbearing, but once you get to the bottom there can be a deposit of them which if you take in the last gulp can give you a pretty good sweat at the end of the dish (I again did 4/5 spice level). The chicken was not overcooked and the mushrooms still had their integrity and meatiness intact which can be a little more difficult for soups unless they are added at the end of the process. I'm kind of perplexed by the negative reviews... and maybe that is just an expectation versus experience consideration on their part. However, what this place offers is great value, convenience (for me at least), and quality food. While it is not my favorite Thai in the area, for the price and convenience it offers it is a great option for a quick lunch or cheap dinner. It'll be put in the rotation for me whenever I am grabbing lunch (which is not very frequent) during the work week. read more

We decided to have dinner here because it was nearby, had parking, and had good reviews on Yelp. The waiter was very friendly and the food was served quickly. The food itself, however, was very disappointing. We started with the calamari appetizer based on the recommendation of other reviewers, and it was by far the driest calamari I've ever had. It was completely dehydrated, like jerky...definitely not what we were hoping for. For the main course, my husband chose the pho, and he found the pho itself pretty good but the meat very low quality and disappointing. I chose the yellow curry with tofu, and the curry flavor was decent, but the tofu was sour. Overall, we were pretty disappointed by all of our dishes, and I wouldn't bring anyone here. read more

Staff is nice, food is good. I highly recommend trying their chicken padthai, summer rolls, rice & porkchop plate and tomkhaigai soup! Their beef noodle soup (pho) is also very good I'm never disappointed when I dine-in here because of the friendly staff and quiet atmosphere. When I do order delivery, it's always through the Ubereats platform so I can't speak on behalf of their in-house delivery service.
