This is one of the best Vietnamese food I've had in the SGV! Their pho is very comforting and delicious, especially on a cold winter night. The vibes inside were cool! It's very clean and they're decorated for the holiday season. Service is great! Straight forward and hospitable. Overall, I would go here again!

This restaurant is in a Food 4 Less/Ross strip mall. The place itself had a good amount of seating: around 4 booths (4 ppl), some big tables in the middle (good for groups) and tables for 4 on the other side. It wasn't too busy when I went, about 2-3 tables were taken. Service was really quick, but when I was done I did wait awhile before anyone checked on me. FYI - you pay at the register. Well it was Pho type of day today and I found this place on Yelp. I ordered a chicken pho and a strawberry lemonade. There is only one size serving for the soup (ranged from $15-$18) depending on what type of protein and soup base. I just went with a basic one protein. The strawberry lemonade was ok. Not sure I liked the strawberry part, but the lemonade part is good. I would try the regular one next time. It is on the pricier for a drink as well $7. The Pho! The soup base was great. It had so much flavor! Normally when I get chicken pho it is sometimes bland, so this was a nice surprise. Not sure if it was beef or chicken base... but I just kept drinking the soup. I will defintely come back here again for this, especially as we get into colder weather. Back to the size... I did mention the bowl only comes in one size, but I literally took home a full container of soup (check pics), so it might be worth it depending on 1) how much you eat 2) if you like to eat leftovers.

Pho Oh Love is a rare gem located in La Puente. This restaurant is probably one of the most spacious, and nicely decorated Vietnamese restaurants. It's clean and very open. The service here is always friendly, and quick. My go to order is always the vegetarian pho because it is so flavorful.

    11. Pho Dac Biet / House Special excellent

This place is a must try! Have been at my share of pho places, this place gives you the most noodles in your bowl! I left here so full and satisfied!! Plenty of indoor seating and very cozy atmosphere, I'll definitely be back for more, also, love the Thai tea here! That's a hit n miss in most places!

This spot is great for some Vietnamese food, best in the area. They use the spring roll wrapping for the eggroll that makes it extra crispy. The chicken is marinated without being overly lemon grass tasting. Didn't see that many customers on a Friday night, please support if you are in the area.

What an amazing hidden spot! Everything here was so good from the pho to the fried squid. If you love places that aren't packed this is the seriously the best ambiance. Just amazing and chill. Probably the best avocado smoothie I ever had too.

Located to the right of Food4Less with ample parking in a busy lot due to construction. The prices are average to slightly-above-average for a vietnamese restaurant in the 626, but it's probably to compensate for the higher meat-to-carb ratio in their dishes! Nem Nuong Cuon (5/5) These are tightly wrapped and well presented! They don't skimp on the nem nuong, which makes these summer rolls really plump. Can't really go wrong with an appetizer like this. Banh Xeo (5/5) Crispiest banh xeo I've ever tried! The batter is lacey and crispy. I was expecting a small pork to bean sprout ratio, but there's a surprising amount of pork in there--more pork than when I've had it at home! Highly, highly recommend. It's quite pricey but this dish stood out to me and I will reorder this when I come back. Pho Dac Biet (5/5) The broth leans more on the sweet than savory side, which I like since I have a huge sweet tooth, but it's not overly sweet. I'm surprised at how much meat and tendons they provide as well. When I thought I was done fishing out the meat and sipping on the soup, I kept finding tidbits of brisket or tendon here and there. I really appreciate when restaurants don't skimp on meat!

I come here all the time when I am craving pho. The service was fast, polite and I enjoy the quietness and the ambiance. Love this place!

Latest health inspection as of 11/2025. 16 violations. Hope they retrain staff re: proper protocols and get their A rating back.

I've had good pho here. I'm disappointed to see their latest health inspection results. As of 11/2025, they dropped from their normal A rating down to a C. I'm hoping it's simply a matter of retraining the stuff. It takes them about 10-15 mins to package the order. Once you head to the counter they confirm your name, show the total, and wait for you to finish the transaction. A simple bye and you're free to leave. They've always given me the same service if I ate in or did takeaway. Their interior is dated but true to other Vietnamese restaurants. Sometimes you do have to wipe down the table and chairs by yourself. Will not be returning until their score improves. Honestly I would probably review reoccurring violations. The two major violations make me a little uncomfortable as a customer.

Was craving something warm & cozy while on a road trip & saw this pho spot on Yelp. They have a bunch of vegetarian/ vegan options which drew my attention. The vegetarian pho was delicious! They come in huge bowls! I hadn't had pho in years & this hit the spot. Customer service is great and the inside ambiance was cute & decorative.

This is an update to my first review. This is a great place, their food is delicious and we became regulars here. I always get their rice dish with the pork and my husband always get the ribeye and tendon pho, which is also delicious!

Solid LanZhou Noodles. Probably the best I've had in Los Angeles. Makes Northern Restaurant (Suo…read moreFeng Yuan) look like the minors. What I liked, soup base clear, had hints of Sand Ginger, Umami Bone Broth, hints of cinnamon, heavy parsley/ cilantro, fennel, star anise, black cardamom, white peppercorns, mmmm, I can taste the broth even now, 2 days after that meal, very distinct, and when paired with their in-house chilli oil, not the one on the table, the actual spicy one they exclusively keep inside the kitchen, you can taste the additional layers to the chilli oil and it just brings the entire LanZhou Noodles to a whole another level. The lamb Rou Jia Mou was really filling. I liked the quantity, not overtly big, not too greasy, and had just the right amount of protein to keep the dish an appetizer, as you await the main course. Pickedled Sweet Kimchi Cabbage was also very enjoyable, although I prefer the in house ones made at Yumi Time in City of Industry better crispiness to the bite in their version and more balanced taste. A solid four, because I'm biased. Having worked with two extremely talented masters in Phoenix Arizona, I've tasted what could be the best LanZhou Noodles and Best Xiao Long Bao any seasoned restaurant staff could ask for. My former colleague Hand Pulled Noodle Master chef Shuai used to head the reknown LanZhou Noodles place in Gaithersburg Maryland serving up all those Ambassadors, Lobbyists, DC Politicians, and when we were in Phoenix Arizona, along with Pastry / Flour Dim Sum Master Chef Sister Ying, we concocted probably the best Xiao Long Bao / Rou Jia Mou and LanZhou Hand Pulled Noodles to ever grace the lands of Arizona and in my opinion, was far superior than any other place in Los Angeles. But again that's just me. I'm biased and I've been blessed to sit down, and have worked with some of the best small kitchen crews and experience great staff meals. And this leads to me to my conclusion: Yes, I'm putting this restaurant officially on my #2 for Chinese Noodle Soups in LA. This place will from now on be in my casual rotation. A no frills, real, down to Earth Noodle Shop. Why I like it? Just the overall setting doesn't try too much. On the surface it looks really plain, boring, not much to expect. But once you try it, it just suddenly makes sense, this can be your go-to Pho shop but for LanZhou Noodles and certain types of Cumin Lamb Chow Mein. #1 Corner Beef Noodle House in El Monte #2 Lan Noodle in West Covina

I got the Braised Beef Noodle Soup with Wide Flat Noodle and in Medium Spicy. Everything was exactly to my tastes. Fantastic hand pulled noodles with great texture, delicious soup and their chili is actually spicy, numbing and very flavorful. They are heavy handed with the spice, I'd say their medium is a typical extra spicy. I typically order extra spicy elsewhere but was trying to cut down on the oil a bit so got medium here and was pleasantly surprised that the level of spice was just right for me. If you're not use to spice, definitely get mild or no spice. This is a dish I would get over and over again and never get tired of it!

It offers a generous portion of tender, juicy meat and springy, fresh noodles. "DELICIOUS!!" I arrived at No. 1 Noodle House (Rowland Heights) on Sunday (around 11AM). Parking is easy. The lot is big with many spots. Staff is very friendly and welcoming, but Staff spoke limited English. Fortunately, pointing at the menu was clear enough. The food took eight minutes and nine seconds. Fast time! As mentioned, the Beef Rib Noodle Soup ($16.50 - Mild) is wonderful! It arrived picturesque and delicious!! However, despite ordering "mild," the food has a very strong heat; I sweat nonstop as I ate. The broth is rich, savory, and spicy. The meat is tender, flavorful, and falls off the bone. And the noodles are hefty, soft, and springy. It's a wonderful, euphoric combination of flavors and textures. Concerning ambiance, No. 1 Noodle House (Rowland Heights) is surprisingly spacious with its tall ceiling and relatively clean surroundings. However, its walls and furniture look worn down with time. Some seats even had torn holes. Unfortunately, the music uses radio with constant commercials playing in the background. Fortunately, there's a gender neutral restroom in the back. Overall, I found culinary magic at No. 1 Noodle House (Rowland Heights). The food is fresh, generously portioned, and well-prepared. I left full with a bright smile. If you enjoy spicy beef noodle soup, this is a must-try! 5 out of 5!! "GO!!"

My boyfriend and I shared a traditional lamb soup and a lamb sandwich. the soup was reminiscent of a Vietnamese Pho, but had a deep flavorful taste to it! What in Buddha's name have I stumbled into?!…read more This place is a fantastic hole-in-the-wall! I actually passed it once, even though there were chairs and tables right outside because I couldn't see the name of the place! Anyway, I came here with my girlfriend around 11:30-ish on Saturday. It was somewhat full with one last table that we took. We ordered: - Beef wrapped green onion pancake roll - steamed fish and leek dumplings - panfriend lamb and cabbage dumplings - Beef noodle soup with hand-cut noodles. The steamed fish dumplings came out first and it was so good, we almost finished it all before reminding ourselves that we need to save stomach space for the other stuff! I dipped it into a small mixture of their black vinegar, soy sauce, and chili oil, but you could simply eat these without the sauce! The beef rolls were also good. Personally, I think I'd like the pancake wrap part cooked just a little bit more to make it flaky. It was softer and slightly stretchy, like how warmed tortillas are, but overall it was well-balanced with the amount of meat, cilantro/onions, and the sauce (which I assume is basically hoisin sauce). The beef noodle soup! Okay look: if you're into Taiwanese beef noodle soup like over at Rock Star Noodle or Taipei OG... Or some of you may remember Bull Demon King Cafe in Diamond Bar (this is to give some reference), this is by far the cleanest broth I've tasted. No, not literally clean. Just that it's not fatty, doesn't leave you feeling like you're going to go into food coma, and the flavor is not overpowering that it leaves a lingering after-taste you try to wash off later. This broth is GOOD. The hand-cut style noodles are nice, big, and chewy! In a good way! The beef though... They remind me of sliced brisket, and I personally prefer tendon and beef chunks but these do fine. And of course, there's bok choy - a decent amount too for some good tasty fiber. In all honestly, I want to go back and order more of this right now! And finally came the lamb and caggabe pan-fried dumplings. Lightning zaps and pizazz! This one was interesting. There's a bit of gaminess (just a hint) that reminds you how many skewer places try to drown it out with spices. I don't know if these are frozen or homemade (could be both) but they come out nicely tasty. There's just a hint of gaminess to remind you the meat ain't commercial beef/pork/chicken, but it's not overpowering that it tastes disgusting at all. I would say though that pan-frying helps with the flavor. It's interesting because my first few pieces had me second-guessing myself... until I realized I was reaching for the 4th piece, followed by a 5th... Followed by my 8th piece. My girlfriend was full and I ended up finishing all but 2 to take home and let family members try... Yeah, we had planned to take some back for our family but ended up eating almost everything... For a 2025 Michelin recognized, B-rated hole-in-the-wall, this is the place to go for true foodies. None of that over-hyped, over-priced IG stuff with superficial pretty looks but lackluster cooks. Here, it's straight up real food, nice and simple at cheap prices. Where can you find very good beef noodle soup in the San Gabriel Valley/Rowland Heights area for $10 without needing any add-ons? Tell me where, I'll be there! But Luyu Dumpling has definitely jumped into our top 3 spots for high-quality taste at cheap prices in this category.
