This has become my new favorite Vietnamese spot since moving to West Covina. I absolutely love this place. The food tastes authentic, the quality is amazing, and everything is so rich and flavorful. You can really tell they care about the food they make. It's located on the corner to the right side of Hong Kong Plaza near Haven City Market, and honestly this restaurant really stood out to me. I already love this plaza, but this place quickly became one of my favorite spots there. One thing I really love is their pork spring rolls. They make them fresh when you order, and you can definitely taste the difference. They're so fresh, delicious, and honestly one of the best spring rolls I've had in a while. They also do catering, which I definitely plan on using in the future if I ever host a party or birthday because the food is just that good. I only had one issue during one of my visits. I can't eat cucumber, so I asked for no cucumber in both my pork dish and spring rolls. They accidentally still included it in my pork dish. This is one of my regular Vietnamese restaurant that I frequent in West Covina. My husband introduced me to this dish called Banh Xeo. It's a Vietnamese style crepe filled with various vegetables, shrimp, and pork. You get a side dish of lettuce leaves, pickled carrots and daikon, mint leaves, and cilantro. You also get fish sauce for dipping. This dish can be shared between two people. The Banh Xeo is massive and this location is the only one I know of that offers it in West Co. I like this crispy texture from the crepe and the crunch from the vegetables. I would classify this as a healthy appetizer. Service is good the few times I've been here. I also enjoy their spring rolls and dessert drink, Che Thai. You can tell that it was not marinated because the flavor was really only in the sauce and the meat itself was bland. The cuts of meat are usually filet mignon, but you can tell that this was probably closer to xhuck steak. *Going Cuon and Nem cuon 4. These were good size and had a nice amount of meat and veggies. Was not overloaded with noodles. They provided the traditional sauce as well as the peanut sauce which were greatly flavored. I also ordered hot tea which they serve Jasmine tea. I've been here a couple times before, but yesterday during Chinese New Year when most places were closed I was in a pinch and needed a spring roll platter for a party. Service is generally quick, though I've experienced a few hiccups: my Bánh Xèo was forgotten on my first visit, another order was missed on my second. We ended up canceling the orders for both visits. On my third takeout visit, a bag of leafy greens for my Bánh Xèo was left out. Aside from pho and broken rice restaurants, this is one of the few places that are in my mom's Vietnamese restaurant rotations when we do go out to eat nearby Vietnamese food. Definitely a place where you want to get what the restaurant is named after. Everything else is just okay (pho, egg rolls, etc.) that don't have nem nuong as a protein that comes with it. Nem nuong is great quality. Deliciously sweet and savory at the same time, and nicely moist meat. Portions are decently generous. I LOVE the crispy egg roll skin wrap (I know it's just a crunchy oily cracker at the end of the day, but it's so addicting to eat). I come here with family to get their banh hoi chao tom ($14.95), nem nuong cuon ($12.50), banh canh tom ($14.50), and com chien. A lot of people get the nem nuong cuon ($12.50) which is fresh spring rolls with grilled pork patties with lettuce, rolled fried egg roll, and herbs. It comes with a bright orange shrimp paste based dipping sauce. The banh canh tom is like a thick shrimp based soup with thick udon-like noodles with bits of whole shrimp, cilantro, green onions, and fried onions. The banh hoi is ground shrimp paste wrapped around a sugarcane and served on top of super thin woven vermicelli noodles cut into squares. You grab a piece of the square noodle with a slice of shrimp paste and bits of the green onion oil and put it inside one of the lettuce with bits of pickled vegetables, herbs, and cucumbers and dip it into the fish sauce. The com chien is fried rice with Chinese sausage and shrimp. All of them are pretty good and are a good portion to share for two people. The banh canh and banh hoi are hard to find in other Vietnamese restaurants so I usually get them here rather than drive out to Garden Grove/Westminister area. They also do catering. Sorry I have to knock down to 1 star. I know today is the 4 th of July and is busy but they do have a lot of wait staff but it doesn't make sense that they forgot my dad's order and they missed 3 ingredients on my # 65, charbroiled pork with egg rolls over vermicelli. I asked the waiter she we went to check, and he came back with my dad's soup saying they just finished making it. I looked at my dad's fish soup as he was digging around to see what kinds of meat is in it, one big bowl of soup with 2 large pieces of fish cakes and 4 small fish balls, that was it, with lots of soup. It doesn't look anything like the menu picture and there's no fresh fish. It was disappointing, he says in Chinese but o me " mother f@cker..for get it ! " he's 86, old and grumpy. I said you speak Vietnamese, say it to them...Duoo Maaa. lol for my food, it wasn't charbroiled pork, there's not a piece that has char burnt on it, they forgot the crushed peanuts, the fresh beans sprouts and cucumbers. Those are the 3 things that makes the dish better and I still felt like something was missing, the fish sauce wasn't fishy enough, it doesn't have that fragrance of nok mum has. Is supposed to have a strong fish sauce and garlic taste. We used to come here almost every weekend but it seems like the food is lacking in flavor and ingredients. They also have party platters which I have ordered a few times for work pot lucks and they are always a hit and get eaten completely with no left overs!! The price of course as with many other places has gone up over the years, but it is on par with what other places are charging. Would I come back here again. Of course I would!! A major plus is that this place is close to my work and definitely closer to my home than having to go all the way out to OC for some Brodard's spring rolls. I actually didn't try the food but truly appreciated that they accommodated same day party trays within less than 2 hours. I called them right when they opened. I had to order trays for my son's last day of therapy at his clinic. They had to check with their chef but they pulled out a tray of nem spring rolls and 2 trays of egg rolls that everyone loved. They helped bring it out after securing it safely. Prices were reasonable. read more

I ordered the Vietnamese rice crepes and after arriving to my house to enjoy this nice tasty meal I went to grab the lettuce that came on the side for my crepes and I found a tiny bug sitting in my lettuce. Which means they don't wash their lettuce properly, so just be careful before you eat your fresh veggies at this place. I hate to give a bad review but it has to be known. read more

My children , their friends and I were so indecisive on what to order . I know I am certain I wanted to order take out, a tray of Nem Cuon 20 PCs. $48 ( grilled pork loaf spring rolls and a tray of frozen Banh Bot Loc 60 PCs. $54 ( glutinous rice filled with pork belly and shrimp bits wrapped in banana leaves ) my usual party tray order when I am in the area , the bahn bot loc can order frozen or steamed and the spring roll a choice of 20 whole or cut in half to make 40 halves pieces. now we had some time to look over the menu, my daughter decided on oxtail bun bo hue , funny we didn't see big pieces of oxtail only thin sliced oxtail bones with some slivers of meat stuck to the oxtail lol!! Bun Bo hue broth was okay , not the best . There is prominent shrimp paste , lemon grass aroma . I decided to try something different from my usual order in the past. After debating with myself a few times decided on Bun Cha Ca ( fish fillets with fish patties noodles soup ) the broth at first glance resembles bun bo hue in its red colored broth ,taste of lemongrass , tomatoe bast and pineapple. Reminds me like cahn chua soup , but not sour more savory . At a sudden whiff the soup smells fishy . Nonetheless I dove in and mix in all the vegetables and herbs provided . I believe the fish pieces were mackerel and soup tasted okay. Would I order it again ? Probably not . Chicken fried rice , to add shrimp is additional $5 . Kids liked it. read more

I've only had their party tray of spring rolls and it's good every time. I've had family members say they're other food is good but I haven't personally tried it. Make sure you order your party trays in advance otherwise you might get stuck waiting 2-3 hours if you place it there. One party tray for Nem Cuon (Nem Nuong Cuon or Spring Rolls with Nem Nuong) was enough to feed a small gathering 5-6 adults if you order other food on the side. Comes in 20 whole or 40 halves, currently $48 before tax. I believe they could also do 30 rolls, you may want to call and ask. The crispy fried eggroll wrapper stuffed inside stayed crispy even after picking it up after 2 hours. The sauce is what really brings their Nem Cuon to the top for me. It's soo good, I could drink it! Comes with some chili on side for you to add to your own preference, it is spicy add with caution. When we picked it up the sauce was nice and warm. read more

This is located outside Haven city on the right side corner next to another good Vietnamese Pho Golden Noodle . I also love the mouth watering Vietnamese food here & enjoyed the generous size yummy broiled pork chop combo with large plate of salad & yummy dipping sauce for the meat & salad.
