My wife and I came in on a Sunday evening for dinner and they were not busy. We were greeted and seated right away. We ordered Papaya Salad, Drunken Noodles with Pork and Cho Chee Curry Fish. Their food here has been consistently good. Service was good overall, came by to check on us 3 times during our meal, 2 of the 3 times to refill water. It's was a quiet meal as there was only 1 other table eating in when we arrived and half way through our meal, we were the only diners. I am glad we're were able to eat here this time as last time we wanted to eat here, they were completely full.

This is a very small place . Every table was full but we were able to sit right away. Not much in between tables. But that's ok the customers seemed nice. Our waiter was nice . I will say it did take a long time for us to get our food. Not all plates came at the same time which felt weird for me because I was waiting to eat with everyone else. The atmosphere seemed friendly and the food was great!! I ordered the eggplant coco stir fry w a side of veggies instead of rice. My son had Japanese curry and my husband had fish . I didn't take a picture of their food because as soon as they got their food we all started eating. It did take about 30 to 40 min to get. All in all if we ate in the area we will come back to get more Thai food.

This is what I expected. Yet the product does NOT look like this at all. Do Not order Pad see ew from here.

Tried it out & will never order from here again. I have lived in Thailand and have eaten Thai food all across California. i have never tasted a Pad See ew as Bland as this one. It's absolutely so bland! Pad see ew is supposed to be rich and Savory with Dark Soy Sauce & roasted Broccoli, the broccoli was undercooked, and the reason I love pad see ew are the thick wide noodles, yet what I received did NOT have wide noodles. This dish cost me $20 plus tip. I regret buying it, I would be afraid to try anything else here.

Ordered: Chicken Khao Soi 5/5 Japanese chicken curry 5/5 Spicy papaya salad 5/5 Rangoon 5/5 Plain wings 4/5 My coworker told me about this place & recommended that I try. My family and I went here to during weeknight & was extremely lucky that it wasn't busy. I'm sure during the weekend it's packed due to location, it's hidden & it's small inside. We were greeted, sat down quickly & received our appetizers, main dish & drinks. The food is so good. It has a different twist for thai food. Everything was made fresh & present hot. The spice level was absolutely there on some of our dishes. Highly recommend this place!

Really great pad Thai, texture was on point. Nice little Thai place in the nut tree plaza. Plates are good to share for two people.

Absolutely loved the Hainanese chicken--so tender and flavorful! The Pad See Ew was perfectly cooked with that rich, smoky taste. Been coming back and forth all the time hehehe.

The food here is AMAZING! So fresh delicious & flavorful with the perfect Thai spicy flavor. The service was quick & every dish was spot on!

Found this place through Find Me Gluten Free - so happy to find a place with gluten free/celiac safe options! My friend (vegetarian) and I (celiac), were traveling and were very happy with this place. Just wish it was closer to home! Gluten Free wasn't noted on the menu, but the staff was able to answer my questions. I had the chicken yellow curry with rice, and fresh spring rolls with shrimp. all really good! Will stop again.

This restaurant is between a jellybean store, an ice cream parlor, and a playground so be prepared to see a lot of kids running around. The inside is surprisingly calm and quiet compared to the hectic noise outside. We ordered family style so we could try a bit of everything. The Hainanese Chicken was my favorite. It comes with chicken rice that is so simple but really brings out the flavor of the meal.

I've been wanting to try a Thai place in the Fairfield/Vacaville area for a while, but most spots either didn't have great reviews or didn't give me a good vibe when I stopped by. I finally decided to give this place a try--and I'm glad I did! It's located right next to the Jellybean store. The space is small with limited indoor seating, but they do have outdoor tables, which is a plus. The service was decent, and the food came out hot and on time. I started with the fresh rolls with tofu--really fresh and tasty. The yellow curry was flavorful, though not as spicy as I usually like it (nothing a little hot sauce couldn't fix). The standout for me was the berry rice--absolutely delicious! I've never seen it offered at other Thai restaurants, and it was definitely the highlight of the meal. Everyone in my group enjoyed their dishes as well. I'm giving 3 stars because they charge a 3% fee for credit card payments, no matter how many people or the total bill. And the portion and price didn't really match. I'll come back, but only if I have cash on hand. Good food--just wish they'd skip the card fee!

Lim's Thai Cuisine has easily become my go-to restaurant for thai food. It's a fast- food setting with a smaller dine-8! option. Nonetheless, the server is always very kind and the food is always delivered quickly. The food served will not disappoint you. It is always SO DELICIOUS, it's very fresh and the portion is great for someone with an apetite. I am a returning customer for sure!

Tiny little place tucked next to the kelly belly store. a total of maximum nine tables greet you, it is within a public area so you could sit at a bench outside; however there is no designated outdoor seating. The Gai Todd is amazing. The chicken rice is actually addictive it is sooooo rich and yummy and savory. Thai tea is in the sweeter side but also hard to go wrong with. The servers are always attentive and very very quick. They are on doordash if you want delivery!

The food was outstanding. I had the pad phet stirfry, and the wife had the drunken noodle with beef. The service was friendly fast and the food delicious... Kind of a small restaurant but on a nice evening or afternoon when it's warm outside... Great place to eat as well.

The alligator meat was soft and not chewy or dry and "tastes like chicken." You literally cannot tell the difference by look and taste. Texturally, the meat has a slightly more chew to it than chicken, but other than that 99%+ people would not know the difference. Other dishes we had were: Pad See You (beef), Mango Curry, Tom Kha Soup, Eggplant S'il Vous Plait and Papaya Salad. Everything was delicious! Service: Great! Waitress was very attentive and came by multiple times to check on us and refill our water without asking. She also came by when it was the last call before the kitchen closed to see if we wanted to order other dishes or desserts. The prices have gone up some from their old menu, but the portions have also gotten bigger. Crispy chicken fried rice - 10/10, chicken was juicy and super crispy, paired with two different sauces (1) some sort of creamy mayo aioli (2) sweet chili sauce; i personally preferred the sweet chili sauce. The rice itself was subtle, with a slight soy sauce flavor; definitely allowed the chicken to shine. Thai iced tea - 8/10, good thai tea. not too sweet, stronger on the tea side. Staff were friendly and food came out quickly. The restaurant is decent in size (has both outside and indoor seating), and had a modern, clean look. Overall, food was delicious and would definitely come back. The…read moredishes are just okay - nothing too spectacular that would really make me crave the dishes here. Surprisingly, my main complaint for the yellow curry was that it had too much chicken. I wanted more variety and balance with the potatoes and carrots. I expected the carrots to be crunchy, but not with the potatoes. The potatoes were on the tougher side and just needed a bit more time to cook and soften. And also with more cooking time means the soup to be thicker, which it also needed. Overall, taste of the yellow curry was decent, just the ingredients were a bit off. As an appetizer, the pork belly surprisingly had a good portion size. Or maybe that's just the illusion of the long plate it is served on? Among the dishes we ordered, this was my least favorite. It was not crispy, more on the harder and chewy texture. It just didn't have that crisp like a typical crispy pork belly should. The other two dishes - pad see ew and pineapple fried rice - were great. Taste, texture, color - all near-perfection. The pad see ew can add a bit more on the portion size, otherwise both dishes are a must to order here. As for customer service, we had pleasant experience. We did not know they close mid-day, so we arrived about little more than 30 minutes before closing, but they were still pretty eager to take us in. Many other folks were still in the restaurant and the staff were very attentive.

We frequent the Vietnamese restaurant, but never really think about going to Tom Yum Goong until today. We were originally going to Pho Lee Hoa Phat for dinner, but when we walked up I asked my son if he want to eat Thai instead which he and my wife decided they wanted to eat instead of Vietnamese. Ambiance (3.5/5 stars): first impressions when we walked in is that it is dark and needed more lighting. After sitting down, I noticed that one side of the restaurant was full of random antique items. I overheard someone asking them about the antiques and the owner said that her husband buys the antiques at estate sales, etc and that they are open to offers to purchase them. There are some Thai decor in the restaurant. Older 70's/80's music was playing in the background so it didn't feel like being in a Thai Restaurant especially with all the American antiques on one side of the restaurant. There are a handful of tables (seating for 4 people), but they do have room for larger parties. Food (4.5/5 stars): We really enjoyed our food. They had great flavors. The portion size was not big, but the price also reflected the smaller portion size compared to other Thai restaurants in town. Dishes: - Mango Salad: nice chunks of mango, mixed with lettuce, cherry tomatoes, red onions, mint, cilantro, carrots, cashews, shrimp and the chef's special mango sauce. It was a nice refreshing dish and was once of our favorite dishes that we ordered today. - Super Pad Thai w/ Chicken: flavorful, authentic Pad Thai flavors - Moo Yang (B.B.Q. Pork): nice tasting grilled pork with sweet chili dipping sauce - Pad Ka Prow (Pad Basil - Beef): nice flavor, had a lot of green beans (not usually in Pad Ka Prow), but I liked the flavors. I always welcome extra veggies. Service (4/5 stars): The waitress/owner was very nice and was pretty attentive overall. She was the only one waiting tables and with take out orders as well as helping some in the kitchen. She came by a few times to check on us and refill our waters. It was a slow night for dinner (~7pm, Friday), only one other table eating and 2 take out orders while we were there, so not sure how the service would have been if they were busy. Food came out relatively quick. Tom Yum Goong is a kind of hidden in Vacaville. They have great tasting food and would be much busier at a better location. They do have smaller portion sizes, but prices do reflect that. Between Vacaville and Fairfield, I feel Vacaville's Thai restaurants are much tastier than any in Fairfield and Tom Yum Goong is no exception. If you are craving some good Thai food, give them a try. You might even find a piece of antique that you may want to purchase.

Come early or you'll likely not get to have what you're eyeing on. When: Saturday dinner at 5pm (came when they were opening door) What: Chicken satay, pork satay, beef satay, seafood laksa, hainanese chicken rice, fried spring roll Experience: Superb food!! It is a lot of food, but we wiped out all of it among two adults and two young kids. The satays were SO GOOD! Hands down the best I've had in the USA, and on par with the best satay places I've had in Southeast Asia! Our favorites including both kids were beef and pork. So tender, so flavorful and delicious even without using the peanut sauce. We even got another two orders of each to take home! Seafood laksa was such a big portion with good amount of seafood. If you've had Singaporean or Malaysian laksa, this is different. Different in a good way since the owner chef is from Indonesia. The Hainanese chicken rice was tasty. Turmeric rice was different since I'm used to the ginger chicken rice, but the poached chicken was very well made. Under the chicken skin was a layer of gelatin which happens when the chicken is poached and then cool in a meticulous method. Together with the ginger scallion oil sauce, it was umami! Fried spring rolls were crispy and good flavor of meat and vegetables inside. Together with their house lime chili sauce, it was a party in the mouth! (I also paid using the online services, but I did see someone paying in person.) I was drawn to Bazar Eatery when I saw they had Laksa; I ordered the Seafood Laksa. Ever since I had it in Singapore, I've been hoping to find somewhere that serves this soup. It was nice to find somewhere that serves it, but it doesn't compare to the flavor of the laksa I had in Singapore. (Maybe it's a different variant of the dish, but I preferred the more coconut heavy broth flavor that I had over there.) I still enjoyed this dish overall though. I also tried the Hainanese Chicken. It really wasn't anything amazing, but this could be due to the dish being served with regular, white rice; they had run out of turmeric rice for the day. I also had the kumquat sparkling drink. The menu notes it's sour, but I didn't think it was overly so. It was still more sweet than sour in my opinion. I enjoyed the drink, and it tasted like they used real fruit rather than artificial syrups. I think the portions are a bit small, particularly in the case of the Hainanese Chicken, but it's nice that they served complimentary shrimp chips. Service came off as genuinely welcoming/friendly, even if we weren't checked on after the food came out.

We walked in and there were a few people already enjoying lunch, but plenty of open seating. We were seated right away and service got going quickly. Always a good sign. There are lunch specials, but we went à la carte because I believe if you're going out to eat, you might as well order what you actually want. We ordered seafood tom kha, chicken & shrimp pad Thai, basil beef, spicy catfish, pla pad phed (trout), and steamed rice -- all requested not spicy because my parents like flavor, not a near-death experience. The seafood tom kha was a win. Dad was impressed with the variety of seafood -- shrimp, scallops, mussels, calamari, and catfish. He kept commenting on how flavorful the broth was, which in dad language is basically a Michelin star. The basil beef was new for my parents and they both loved it. The sauce had great flavor and paired perfectly with the rice. The pad Thai was good. Solid. Dependable. Not the kind that makes you dramatically pause mid-bite and rethink your life choices, but definitely tasty. Now the spicy catfish is what I personally come here for. It's fried just right -- not overly breaded, still flaky and tender inside. The sauce is always on point and full of flavor. This dish alone keeps me coming back. The pla pad phed (trout) unfortunately didn't land the same way. Because it's served filleted, it's easy to overcook, and sadly this one was. The sauce itself was great, but the fish was a bit too done. Overall, this place has been a favorite of mine for a while, and it survived the ultimate test: my parents enjoyed it too.
