Went here to eat lunch. Being that's I can't eat meat for Lent, I opted for the Egg Noodle w/Fishballs, and wifey had the Dac Biet Combination. Both hit hard!! All around delicious! I liked how the soup didn't burn my throat from being too hot and they aren't shiesty with their meat and fishballs. Ive been here several times before however, Not a good experience this time. I ordered pho with an extra side of beef. Well they brought the beef on the side instead of an extra side of beef . Not a big deal I probably was misunderstood. Then I asked for a side of beef. Well that took a while. I had to ask for it again after 5 min or so. The waitress forgot. Once I got it which took another 5 minutes maybe longer...mind you my soup is getting cold. I put it in my soup. By this time my kids had finished eating and my soup was cold. So I asked for some hot broth to warm up my soup. Well that took forever. I got tired of waiting so I asked for my check paid and just left. I didn't even get to eat. And no I did not leave a tip. Bad food, good service. This is place is very clean and looks nice. The staff was also very accommodating and helpful. Unfortunately the food was a miss. What we ordered: -spring rolls (instead of boiled pork, they used cha lua, which I've never seen done before. Instead of mint they used Thai basil.) -pork and shrimp vermicelli (some of the pork tasted fine. The rest of it had a very strong pork smell and tasted terrible. The fish sauce mix was also terrible.) -two bowls of pho (I didn't like the broth and the noodles were clumped together so not cooked well.) -bun Bo hue (probably the best dish of the day, pork hock was good, lots of meat) Other gripes I have: - We specifically asked for no cilantro on the vermicelli and one of the pho bowls and cilantro was added. Super frustrating. - The bun bo hue specifically says it comes with sausage (cha) on the menu and ours came with none, so I had to ask for it. Again, the staff were really nice and were apologetic about the cilantro. They also gave me three slices of cha for our bun bo hue. My daughter was happy with her noodles, however I won't be coming back and can't recommend this place. read more

This place is definitely a must for a delicious bowl of pho! I've been here two weekends in a row already just for some comfort food. Even the Vietnamese coffee is amazing (although it's a bit sweeter than what you would get from Lee's Sandwiches, which is my main go-to for Vietnamese coffee). I have absolutely nothing negative at all to say about the flavors of the beef broth. I only wish there was a bit more meat, tough as that is to ask for in this economy. The interior is very clean with white walls and tables, and there's plenty of room to sit comfortably without overhearing anyone's conversations. About my first visit: My only issue was that only one server was actively moving from table to table in an efficient way. I saw her at all ends of the restaurant to wait tables. The hostess at first had brought our drinks out, but after that she just stood there and didn't seem to be caring of much else nor did she bring other tables' drinks. The other server I saw on shift was quite social, but she wasn't as attentive to the tables and often did not notice We probably had to wait about 15 minutes before we managed to get anyone's attention to pay for our food. About my second visit: Service was a lot better this time. There were 2 servers on shift, and both took great care of all of the tables they stopped at. I'm glad to see that there was improvement! The pho was also still absolutely amazing and not overly salted. Usually my biggest gripe about pho at restaurants is the amount of MSG or salt added. I always have to drink a LOT of water afterwards, but this was never the case with Pho Saigon. I did try ordering a different item this time: seafood egg noodle soup. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of it, but I was definitely disappointed by how little seafood was given compared to how much I would have gotten in Chinatown at Sinh Sinh or Tan Tan. There were only about 3-4 few small pieces of fish balls (cut in half), 2 very slim imitation crab sticks, and 2 pieces of shrimp. There was also something not quite right about the broth, like a flavor missing. I wish I could pinpoint what it was. I have yet to try more items on their menu, but overall I still highly recommend going to Pho Saigon in the Aliana area for their beef pho! read more

We tried the pandan mini waffles which were delicious and came with a condensed milk dip. I would definitely get that again! The ambiance was clean and structured. It didn't give too much of a Vietnamese feel. Because it was so high and open everything seem loud. Extremely clean restaurant. The staff is immediately welcoming and present during the entire visit. It is by far the best customer service I've had at a pho restaurant. The beef stew pho was super flavorful and the meat was very tender. My lemon ice tea was perfectly sweetened and refreshing. The eggrolls were delicious especially when paired with the dipping sauce. After seeing the Pearland Pho Saigon on "Eat Like a Local", we were anxious to try the one in Aliana .We ordered 2 rice plates - beef & pork. We were served chicken & beef. The meat was not warm-still chilled from cooler. Meats were very dry. Poor service -even though there were only only a few people & we were sitting right by the kitchen. Waited 30 minutes for spring rolls at this place today and not very happy. Would probably need to cancel the order by now. The pho should come after the appetizer, but we got the pho and finished the whole thing and still had to wait for the vermicelli bowl and the spring rolls! Finally had it and wanted to cancel the rest of the order and the spring rolls comes. The table next to us came after us already chowin down on their banh mi, while we can't get our spring rolls. The manager did lets us cancel after having to tell the clueless waitress that we waited too long for the spring rolls and would like to cancel the rest of the order. Manager Kenton (I believe his name is) apologized and offered to give the bowl of pho for free and gave us gift cards for a return visit. Maybe I will give them another chance, but hope they get it together for other customer's sake.
