Empty restaurant, we walk in, owner makes no eye contact and tells us to sit. Asks us if we know what we want. I tell him no. He acts exasperated. Brings menus drops them on the table with no eye contact. I call him over to order. He says they're out of all beef........ As if it's our fault. It would have helped to let us know they're out of all beef when he handed us the menus. Like you have ZERO customers at lunchtime. Be nice please. Not sure we'll make the trek out here again. Wowza! So yummy! We had the Bahn Mi with beef. The Bahn mi was all around delicious! So fresh and flavorful. My husband has eaten at the restaurant many times after his biking adventure in Sugarland. The Service was great and the restaurant has a friendly atmosphere. He always brings a few Bahn Mi sandwiches home for a later meal. My husband enjoys the sweet coffee as well! Very disappointed in the service. Tables were filthy, almost every single one had leftover trash on them. Asked the guy working if he could clean one of the tables and he sat us at the very end of a dirty one. I empathize with them in that I know it's hard to find star to work these days, but seriously it's a restaurant, cleanliness should be one of your top priorities. Food took some time to come out, everything was pretty good. Our chicken noodle dish came out very last, and by then we were already full and done eating. We asked the guy for a to go box so we could pack it up, and he offered to do so for us. We watched him pack up the food, and I saw that he had grabbed a fallen noodle with his bare hands and threw it into the to go box. That's straight up nasty. Idk if I'll be back again. Really good halal pho in Houston. I ordered Ban Bo Hue its super delicious and spicy.

I can't even write a complete review in all honesty, I went to eat there during a random afternoon and the place was completely empty. The one staff member that was there told me to sit anywhere and the menu was completely overpriced, however it was my first time going so I was going to try their pho. I didn't even get asked for a drink order, instead the lady answered her phone and was just talking for 15 minutes. I ended up leaving without even being served even though I was the only one there.. I was completely ignored and while she was on her phone she just kept glancing at me from the kitchen door and it was a very uncomfortable experience, I probably won't try to eat there again. read more

Finding a halal pho place is hard, especially when u still want it to be authentically Vietnamese. So this was like hitting the jackpot. Had the beef broth pho because the spicy one was out, but the owner brought us a spicy mixture to help make up for it. Also had the shrimp rolls and shaking beef, both absolutely amazing. It's not Halal if you're using the same equipment to cook your pork meals and not washing them completely to make your halal meals. Cute gimmick, but in all reality pork is the staple in most Vietnamese cooking. The kitchen is a nightmare and adding the "Halal" gets them to hike the price but not actually following protocol. When all else fails they can simply say they didn't understand and was told this was OK. read more

We came on Christmas Eve, and even though they closed at 5 they still were so sweet. They served us delicious food, and didn't rush us out how other places usually do when they are so close to closing time. We tried the: - Beef Vermicelli bowl. I have eaten at the other PHO Ben in sugarland, which was great, but was looking to stop somewhere closer to the road hwy 59 as we are headed out of town. We had actually just finished our food, which was speedy, tasted great and was as expected. I was waiting to get into the women's restroom which was occupied. It's a single stall bathroom locked from the outside, I heard the toilet flush, water running, but did not hear the hand dryer. To my surprise, the door was unlocked and a woman who worked there came out with blue nitrile gloves on. I don't know what to think. Did she wash her hands then don new gloves before opening the bathroom and pushing the door open? Did she go to the restroom with gloves on and then wash the gloves? I didn't notice any gloves in the trash when I left the bathroom, but I did see paper towels on the wall. When I came back out to tell my husband, the woman came out from the kitchen talking to front staff, so she clearly worked there and was the only one wearing gloves whereas all the other personnel in the front we're not. Does this mean she only works in the kitchen? Was she cleaning the bathroom? I didn't see any cleaning products with her when she came out of in the restroom. I'm pretty mortified and won't come back to this location again. I feel like even if I explain the situation, she may not understand my concerns with infection control. Is she wearing gloves to do everything without changing them out? Why wouldn't there be new gloves in the kitchen? I work in healthcare. I just don't know what to make of this. There was also something going on with the ventilation, so it was pretty smoky in the restaurant we came in and when we left my eyes were burning a little bit from smoke coming from the kitchen. read more

I came last night with a friend. I ordered a rare beef and tripe pho , and they brought out tendons and flank. Well understandable that everyone made mistakes I told the server he brought it back in. He came back out with " the same bowl" just adding tripe. The bowl technically cold at this point lol. I told the server once again I can't eat flank , soooo he came back to the kitchen. Came to this restaurant to try pho for the first time and we were absolutely blown away! The place was empty so we opted to dine in, and we're glad we did because the customer service was excellent. The waitress was so enthusiastic in offering recommendations when we told her it was our first time there. All of their beef and chicken is halal, and she was kind enough to show us a receipt from their halal meat supplier. We ordered everything she suggested and we weren't disappointed! If you're not into that then opt for the spicy beef pho, which was our favorite! The portion sizes are generous so this was a lot for a party of four. Tried this place out for the first time today and thoroughly enjoyed my meal! I am so glad to have this clean and delicious restaurant so close to home. Here's what we ate: 1. Fried egg rolls- one order comes with 4 and they don't skimp on the size or filling. Delish! 2. #59 Steamed rice with grilled chicken, pork, and shrimp- very good as well. Only comes with one large piece of shrimp. 3. Large pho bowl- I love that there's many ways to customize this. Absolutely yummy. I used to go here all the time and it was my favorite pho spot at late night. Quick, delicious, and an easy hangover food. Since then, the quality disappeared. I ordered a meatballs pho last night and was SUPER disappointed. The broth tasted old, sour and the meatballs had a weird texture because they had no beef inside, just powder flavor. Halal pho in Sugarland is this place's claim to fame. There are definitely better pho places but this one is good option for those who eat halal. New pho place that recently opened close to my job. I was craving pho and short in time and could not go to Pho Ben. Then I remembered about this place and decided to try it out. When you walk in you can pick a table to sit and and the waitress will bring you the menu. At the time it wasn't busy only three tables were occupied and only a waitress and a man and woman(maybe owners) helping her bring food out. I tried the #21 large which is pho and you can pick 4 meats. I picked the rare beef and flank. It took about 10 minutes to get my pho and the fixings. It did not disappoint at all! Only reason why I put 4 stars is that they only give you one napkin and I would prefer them to be at the table. So, I wouldn't have to keep asking. Also, the restaurant started getting busy and service seemed to slow down. If I could I would give them a 4.5! I can't wait to go back and try there other dishes. read more

Stopped by for the first time on the way home from Costco. Place was very clean and staff was attentive and friendly enough. Shrimp & Pork spring rolls came out quickly and were big! On the four-meat-choice pho, I ordered double raw beef. Came out with beef not raw. THAT was disappointing. It must have sat too long waiting to be served. It was still hot, so I ate. Hubby's rice plate came out quite a bit later and the meat was room temperature. REALLY disappointing. He was too hungry to send it back. His eggroll was crispy hot, so the plate was probably made too early and sat getting cold while waiting for the eggroll to finish cooking. I had plenty of noodles in my medium pho and the flavor was pretty good. Hubby's meat had a good char flavor and was tender. They need to get their cooking system down so things are made to finish at the same time, not quickly cooked and left to go cold waiting for one last item. We'll give them another try. Next time I will mention the problems and see if it improves. read more

We had never tried any Vietnamese restaurant before but came to know of this offering the Halaal option and not serving pork which meets our family dietary requirements and hence we went it to give it a try. The restaurant was all empty in the late evening time and we were not even sure if it was open but the owner said he can serve us. We were with a party of about 6 including kids. Very polite owner and helped us with getting ourselves seated and getting us the high chairs for the kids. He gave recommendation for the different food options and Pho. We pretty much took his recommendations and to our delight all of the dishes and the Pho was yummy yummy. Their serving side was pretty big so despite us getting all our filling and hunger satisfied there was plenty left to take home and the owner helped us in boxing it too. read more
