I was super excited to try this place, as I had never been to a Panda Express before. However, it really didn't live up to my expectations. The atmosphere is pretty nice inside. It's clean and there's a lot of seating options. I waited for a while in line, to find out over half way through that they were out of pretty standard items, which was frustrating. The food was alright. I got the Orange Chicken and Fried Rice Panda Bowl. It was good but a little dry and lacking on taste. For the portions and quality of food you receive here, I feel like it's a bit overpriced. Overall, the Panda Express really wasn't as great as I thought it would be. I might be willing to try something else here in the future, but haven't felt the need to go back yet. read more

My dad has always loved Panda Express, and my husband and I had never been here, so we decided to try it for lunch. Restaurant is nice and clean. We arrived early for lunch, it was only 11:30. Our rice was so dry that my husband started choking and had to go to the restroom, because he was coughing so much and thought he was bothering other guests. Tough call on what to rate them 1 1/2 would maybe be the best if I could do it. I had never been to a Panda Express before so was excited to try them out. I've not found a place that I like for takeout Chinese for lunch so gave them a shot today. I got the beef with broccoli, black peppered chicken and a side of fried rice. The beef, as others mentioned, was somewhat spongy but tasted ok and the broccoli was nice and crunchy. The chicken on the other hand, was almost inedible it had so much salt - it really should be called salt-chicken rather than black pepper chicken as I could not taste the pepper at all. Rice was meh and tasted like it had been in a warmer for some time. In spite of this, I would have given them a two star rating but as I went through the drive-thru I looked in to see one of the girls take off her hat, redo the bun in her hair then shake her hat out before putting it back on. This would not be an issue except she was standing right by the woks were they do the cooking. There was no food in them at the time but I doubt they'll be wiped out before they are used. we finally were able to try his location without a long line out the door. I got the Brown rice with peppered chicken and general tso's. my peppered chicken was cold, not just a little but a lot cold, my general tso was a bit warmer but still cold. I can't understand with this level of business and money flowing through the door how their items can be cold. Just walked in for the first time at the Boardman location, never been to one before. I even said that to the lady , she was very helpful on how to order there except for mentioning you might burn your mouth off if your not a fan of super spicy food. I wished she would of said that, but of course I could have paid better attention because I ordered the orange chicken it was way to spicy/hot for me, this stuff made my mouth on fire! The lady at the counter was so nice and offered me something else. I think they need to tell the manager when something like this happens but I'm sure the employee could of handled the situation. I decided on the string bean chicken. It was okay but not great, I got this with lo mein noodles which were dry, but the sauce from the chicken helped. I'm from northern CA and have been a Panda Express fan for a long time. Because I traveled extensively in CA in pursuit of my work, I've had the opportunity to eat in PEs throughout the State. The food at each PE was consistently excellent wherever I ate. This was not the case at this PE. The food was mediocre in taste, the portions were small and (to make matters worse) my favorite noodle dish (chow mein) was made with a pancet-like noodle instead of a real pancet boodle. My wife, who is a big fan of fried rice, poo-pooed hers as soon as she took her first bite! We had a two egg rolls w/ our meals and they were also cold, tough and tasteless. Scheeze. I don't know what to think other than what a disappointment. Please PE franchiser, send a few of your people to CA for a week for training on how preparing great Asian food is done. read more

I was so happy to see Panda express open when we ran to Boardman to do some quick shopping that I just could not help but squeal. And then i drug my sister to lunch -- good thing she likes Chinese! I had the 3 item plate and she had the 1 item bowl. I chose the Walnut Shrimp, Chicken with Mushrooms and Teriyaki chicken, fried rice, cream cheese rangoon and a Pop. She had Orange Chicken with white rice and cream cheese rangoon and a pop. I love the walnut Shrimp so much. It has such a good sauce on it i think next time Ill do a double of it. The chicken and mushroom was ok. A little to mushy for me. The teriyaki chicken was really food though and I will def do it again. My sister loved hers and cannot wait to go back again. Nothing has flavor, ordered 5 different menu items. Everything is breaded and there is barely any meat in what you're eating. It's gross. Let me preface by saying that panda is my favorite fast food chain, I lived in florida for awhile and it was always good and nice quality, despite lines from the touristy area. This is the only location around here and the quality is very hit or miss. The building is nice, but guest service is terrible. They never welcome you and rarely ring the bell if you donate, which are staples at other locations I'm only writing a review because this last visit was the worst. We arrived for dinner an hour and a half or so before closing and they claimed they weren't making any more food, so we were served small portions that had obviously been under a heat lamp for a good while and tasted like char. No way we should have been served what we were. People were literally getting turned away because they didnt want to cook any more with an hour left in the day. I've continued to come to this location despite always being hit or miss because it's the only one nearby, but it does not live up to other pandas I've been to by long shot. There are better Chinese places in the area, so I'll be avoiding here from now on. Bad franchise making a bad representation for the brand overall. Hate leaving a bad review, but man, this place really let me down. read more

This location was just opened and I had high hopes for a new and exciting place to get quality Chinese food...I couldn't have been more disappointed, the customer service skills of the staff are severely lacking. The use of profanity, obscene gestures and having staff more interested in talking to each other than the customer is unprofessional, honestly I would be worried about bringing children here because of that exposure. Horrible customer service. No one at the counter yet I could hear voices in the side room. No bell to ring for service. I waited patiently; still no one appeared. I called them from my cell phone while standing at the counter hoping someone would walk by to answer the phone. I really enjoyed the orange chicken and hunan shrimp (spicy) on my pick 2 combo. I actually went back for another pick 2. Both the lo mein and fried rice were as good as any authentic chinese food joint. My friend ordered a pick 3 and i noticed that it was the same amount of food on the pick 2 just split into 3. I would go back, but i would only use the drive thru because the crew behind the counter had nothing but their friends in the seating area, shouting spanish loudly back and forth, it was more of a hang out for friends only. As we ate, we were made fun of by the other patrons that were friends with the workers behind the counter. They wouldnt stop stairing and shouting jokes aimed at us. I tried this location shortly after it opened. Service was slow. Food wasn't prepared. Orders were backed up and servers were utterly confused. I ordered a shrimp tempura style dish. The shrimp was overlooked and chewy and yet, the batter on the shrimp wasn't fully cooked and gummy. Quite the accomplishment. I ordered the brown rice and it was hard and undercooked. Wow the first and the last time I will eat at this location! Pulled up saw a young man came from outside probably a cigarette break and went straight to serving food didn't wash hands or anything! Do not eat here- for food safety reasons. We arrived an hour before closing. Most options were gone, including fried rice- they refused to cook more. We then sat at a table where we had full view of the kitchen. They proceeded to "clean" the cook area by throwing buckets of water up against the walls- the first was the same water they had just mopped the floors with- it was splashing everywhere, including in the cart full of unused sauces and such which were not even covered. The sauces were then covered with saran wrap and put back in the refrigerator. We stopped eating immediately and I said something to the employees and their reply was "that is how we have to clean". Yuck, yuck, and more yuck.
