Ordered food to go. Sent husband to pick up our order. Avocado shakes were BLAND ASF!!! Called them immediately and tried to explain the situation which was hard due to the language barrier, hung up on me a few times. Went in the next day and was told that I can get a refund which wasn't the case. Another worker stepped in and was quite rude about it. I even questioned the signage which was non existent. They did an even exchange which was BS because that was last nights craving not to mention my time and gas! I will never come back here again. The beef is low grade and taste raggedy. I gave this place a try, because it's the closest pho place to me. Before I tried it, I read through all the reviews to see if saw a pattern to what others were saying. Sure enough, I did. * Order taking: it's just slow. I can understand if it was busy, but there were probably only 3-4 tables w/people in it. Unless they were understaffed, can't understand why we waited awhile to get our order taken * Cleanliness: the same guys taking our order and delivering the food, were the same guys wiping down the tables. I can't confirm if they did or did not wash up before they delivered our food * Pho presentation: I've been to dozens of different pho places, and I don't remember any of them providing me the noodles all bunched up at the bottom like they were prepacked noodles. I spent time having to break up and mix up the noodles w/the meat up top * Pho taste: nothing extraordinary to talk about. Nothing that made me think "they provided good flavor," or "they provided more of this." It was just...ok. I know it's a new place, and I'm willing to try them again. It's a cute restaurant and has a nice ambiance to it. Staff is nice and accommodating. I had the pho and Thai tea. Pho was rich and tasty. Yum! Thai tea was good too. There is so much tasty items on the their menu. Will be back for more pho or to try the other food on the menu. read more

Workers here have some serious,probably contagious, staring problems. There were ONLY two groups: my family (of 4 including me) and this couple sitting right across from us; away from the register where workers can actually see us HOWEVER the waiter chose to put us far from the sight of workers. (And yet send their worker to stare at us? lol???) Anyways, one of them literally stood a few feet behind us with his arms crossed the whole time we were there. He didn't stare at the couple, just us. The server even had the tendency to take my toddler brother's toy out of his hands and slam it on the table away from him. The amount of staring got me thinking. Was it poisoned? Were they waiting for us to die on the spot or wait if we noticed someone spat into it? Idk but thinking about it made me sick. My family got super uncomfortable and didn't finish what we ordered, but paid out of respect. Would never go here again and don't recommend. Pho smelled super old. Great place to get your PHo. It was really good and quick. Didn't have to wait long to be seated. My food was out with in 10 mine after order. I would recommend it to those who love pho. I tried their combination fried rice was great not greasy. Had tons of flavor that really made you mouth watery. Best fried rice I ever had. The pho was filled with a lot of noodles. This place suck!! Ate here twice with bad experience both time!! The first time I ate here was when they first open, I order pho soup with brisket and when the pho came it has some chewy ass meat that wasn't brisket that I order but what the hell I suck it up n jus ate it!! It s been awhile since that experience so I thought I'll give them a second try tonight, I ordered the same pho soup with only brisket with there fresh wide noodles, When I told the waitress I only wanted the brisket meat only, she seems lost, she scan up n down the menu n gave me all kind of recommendation when I only wanted brisket only!!! Took her awhile to comprehend that I wanted only brisket!!! ........... so when large bowl of pho with brisket only came out I was pretty excited, as I can see they got the correct meat (brisket).... went ahead n put the hot sauce n dark plum sauce I think lemon along with sprouts n basil it come with, started to stir everything up n notice they got the wrong noodle ( order fresh noodle), the waitress was right there n she notice it was the wrong noodle too !! She went ahead and took the bowl back to the kitchen to have to the correct noodle replace so I thinking they were going to make me a new bowl with the correct noodle that I order but instead 10 min later she came back with the same bowl with the same broth from earlier with the correct noodle I ordered, I was like wtf? They are too dam cheap to make a new bowl instead they went thru the original bowl picking out the old noodle which some r still there n jus put correct noodle in the bowl n send it back out which I think is pretty dam cheap!! Been here before for takeout but today I actually decided to dine in. Today I accidentally ordered the wrong item and I told them I didn't want it and the owner apparently got upset. I ordered almost $60 worth of food and I got upset because they said I had to pay for it (the item that I accidentally ordered) since I ordered it (which that item hadn't reach my table yet) so I said fine I will pay for it but I'm not taking it. I payed for that entree as well as the other 4 and left it on the table, basically untouched. The employees demanded that I take the food. I was so upset and told them to just throw it away (after I had payed for the entire bill) because I wasn't going to eat something I didn't like because I ordered it on accident. Last minute I changed my mind and decided to take the food and just give it to a homeless person instead, then they were still making a big ordeal. I finally just took the damn food and left. I know it doesn't matter because I'm only one customer but I will never never comeback to this establishment again. Half of that dayum food is precooked I don't see why they couldn't stop the order or just cancel it. But I still payed for it!!! But I guess that was my bad smh. read more

As an avid pho eater, growing up in Vietnam, and having all sorts of variety of pho. It's safe to say that this place does not deliver. They don't really care about satisfying their customers moreover their own pockets. Their portion control was laughable since most of what they had to offer was more than 10 dollars. The noodles were undercooked and rushed, the broth was old and wasn't fresh, the vegetable dish were a bit wilted (my guess is that they were probably sitting around for a while). Don't even get me started about their service. If you like the feeling of being uncomfortable then this is the place for you. We were seated near the kitchen where it led to where the other employees were and they would speak viet to each other and talk babdly about their customers. Kind of a put off and made me not want to eat their food. I didn't finish my meal. I paid in cash and didn't leave a tip. I was going to use my card to pay but something about this place made me not trust them. What if they wrote in the tip sections themselves. It's common for these kinds of places to do so to make up for their lack of tips due to the poor services. Don't go here. read more

First time I went here after work we ordered Hu Tieu hai san and Pho #1 to go and got it with the spicy flavoring sauce on the side. I asked to make sure they packed the flavor sauce again this time - and they said "yeah yeah we always pack it to go." Half hour later when I get home there is no flavor sauce. (Hu tieu is super bland without it.) All they had to say when I called was "oh yeah sorry." I pointed out that I asked for the flavoring / extra spicy sauce on the side when I placed the order. We are Not going back. Don't pick up an order from here without going through your whole order to make sure nothing is missing. read more

So I came here solely based on a 5 start review stating this place was as good as San Jose. Let me tell u I'm a San Jose native and ever since I've moved out to the east bay I never once have found a place to come even to half as close as San Jose. This place is not all that first off, Mr. pho has a better broth and nicer cuts of meat. And even that place doesn't compare to San Jose pho ly. I had the fried spring rolls they were overcooked causing the inside to be dry and salty as well. This was a first for me. They are served with fish sauce. I also ordered the fried pot stickers, they came with a sauce that seemed like it should have been offered with the egg roll. It actually was pretty good with the pot sticker though to be real. My girls each ordered a children's chicken pho, it was alr ugly broth was brown vs light colored but wasn't bad. I got the rare beef and flank, beef was not on side and In soup. We also got the #40 the grilled pork chop and egg with rice it was good probably best thing we had. Also we ordered the mango shake it was made with green mango I think because it was very light and wasn't sweet or very flavorful. The iced Vietnamese coffee I ordered came Vietnamese style hot in the drip cup with a cup of ice it was a very small portion for the price it was about half a glass with the ice, and it didn't have the creamy texture most Vietnamese coffee does i wouldn't order it again. Well I would like to end my review with the service it really sucks they're not mean or rude they just take your order and then u don't see them again, we ordered an extra egg for the rice plate and they came back when we were done and asked if we wanted the egg :-( read more

We expected better pho since the name of the restaurant is Pho. It was mediocre. Broth was artificially sweet and noodles were overcooked. We ordered the pho tai (just rare beef) and paid extra for the filet mignon. Other restaurants that have the filet mignon option would serve it nice and thick, so you can appreciate the taste and the tenderness. Here a slice is just a micron thick, you can hardly taste it. Love what they did to this place compared to the old Rickshaw Express, even the restroom has been remodeled. I got the combo Pho - my way of sampling if the meat cuts are hit or miss- and I have to admit I was pleasantly impressed. The noodles were slightly firm, not too squishy like some other places, and the broth definitely had the "meaty" flavor, like how all Pho broth should. The spices weren't too overwhelming with the anise flavoring which tends to drown out the sweet meaty broth. Overall, I give it a two thumbs up and will be back when it's not too packed. read more

I went here last weekend thinking I was going to get Chinese food but turns out rickshaw is no longer there! But, now it's pho tai... Gotta say, glad I stumbled upon this place by accident! Pho was delicious and hit the spot on a cold rainy day! My husband ordered their stir fry noodle and I told him that only a white person would order non pho food at a pho restaurant, but it was actually really good and I couldn't stop eating it! Yum.
