We ordered the chicken katsu curry and the spicy garlic miso ramen with tofu. My partner enjoyed the chicken katsu curry but it could have used more vegetables. The restaurant was nice! It had a good amount of customers when me and my friend went but we were able to be seated right away. We split the Haha Roll and it was really yummy, the cream cheese was so good. We also split the potstickers which were pretty good, they were meat and veggie. The black garlic tonkatsu ramen is what I ordered and I added enoki mushrooms. The flavor on the all the ingredients except for the noodles was perfect - I just thought that in my very personal opinion the noodles didn't hold the flavor as intensely as the broth tasted. I recently did it To Go order here and ordered the Crunchy roll. When I received my order, I thought I got the wrong item so I went back to confirm with them if this is the Crunchy roll I am expecting spicy crab instead of regular. The worker tells me, "no it's real crab. That's how we have it in our menu," so she takes out her menu and I'm pretty sure it said spicy crab online and when she showed it, it said spicy crab on the menu as well then she changed her excuse, saying that they don't have spicy crab at the moment. Visited this place on a recommendation from one of my coworkers. Upon entry we were greeted by the waitress who promptly seated us. After reviewing the menu I opted to try the spicy Tonkatsu ramen and appetizer chicken karaage. The food came out in order and within an overall decent time. The ramen was good, broth was flavorful, good amount of noodles and veggies, med-hard boiled egg (I prefer soft boiled), but only came with 2 this slices of meat. I'm not sure why this place has bad ratings. The quality isn't the best but I do think it's one of the better ramen I've had in the east bay, besides going to Oakland or Berkeley. Their broth is less greasy than Ramen101 but this time I opted for udon since I love the thick noodles. I'd say, I'm more of a fan of Marugame Udon since their noodles are fresh and hand pulled. Whereas here I can tell it's a store bought noodle type. The egg wasn't runny or soft boiled. I should've asked for that instead. The tempura veggies were yummy! However, I wish they added more batter. My favorite out of this meal was the spicy tuna roll. It tasted fresh and it was a good portion (we ate some before I snapped a photo) The workers here are the sweetest. He packed the noodles for my friend in her to-go container and constantly checked on if we needed water. 10/10 service :) It was empty on a rainy Wednesday night for dinner but more people started to come in as time went by. We were bummed we lost our local ramen spot at Bayfair awhile back. Fate sent us here ... we happen to be driving down Foothill Blvd and decided we would stop and have dinner here. The ramen is quite tasty, with a broth that is not very thick (how we like it), with decent portions. At this point, it has become our favorite go to spot as the bento dinner, sushi and other soups are pretty tasty as well. It definitely has never disappointed. The service is also very good. Staff is friendly and attentive. The space itself is fine. There is plenty of seating and they have two tvs running on opposite sides with different viewing options. It has always been very clean. so i sat down and had dinner here at HAHA sushi Ramen and I was very displeased with the portion of "just broth " that I ordered. when you sit down to eat here they overload you with portion and for me to ask them to please fill the broth container up because it was half empty. instead of filling it up the manager came out to ask me what the problem was and tried to explain that they can not add more broth. I feel that was a very greedy response from her. It seems they only want your money here and not good customer service. We ordered the (4.5/5) Edamame with Spicy Garlic, (2/5) Tonkotsu Ramen, and the (3.5/5) Miso Ramen. The edamame was REALLY GOOD. Probably one of the best edamame appetizers I have had ever. The amount of flavor that was in the edamame, I was pretty shocked. Definitely recommend trying this out! The Tonkotsu ramen was pretty disappointing to me, the soup base lacked flavor and the meat did not taste that good. The Miso ramen was much better than the Tonkotsu, the soup was flavorful and it had a nice savory taste to it. I also loved the addition of corn with it. Honestly, a really neat place. I really appreciated the portions to price ratio of this place. It tasted good and filled me up! I got the Pork Belly Ramen and the Spicy Salmon Roll lunch combo. I was hoping for a fantastic, tasty experience. While the food was not bad, it wasn't really good either. Mark and I both got Ramen. I ordered the Shoyu Ramen.. pretty basic stuff. When ordering Ramen one gets a discount on a 'side', so I ordered Gyoza. The Gyoza was tasteless. Gyoza is generally a very satisfying appetizer, but not so much here. The noodles in my Ramen were crunchy when it arrived. The softened a bit in the warm broth, but it was unsettling to crunch into my first bite. I was disappointed. Mark ordered the Spicy Garlic Tonkotsu with a Godzilla roll on the side. He really enjoyed it. The ingredients in the two Ramen were identical. Only the broth was different and Mark's had MUCH more flavor. I tasted it. For me, unfortunately, it was much too spicy. The Godzilla roll was not bad. I liked the deep fried flavor, but this tasty morsel didn't elevate the rest of the meal to more than two stars. We will have to keep looking for better, local Ramen. read more
