Spicy garlic tonkatsu ramen packed perfectly to go and a Golden California roll
    Dianna P.

I actually am so surprised for Haha's mid-rating. I think they're a great DT staple, especially for a lowkey dinner. Now that the weather is getting chilly again, I have been wanting warm soups-Haha particularly fits that perfectly. They pack their to-go orders well. I like their spicy garlic tonkatsu. It's rich, garlicky and spicy without being over the top of either. I also love their perfectly jammy eggs. My husband likes their pork katsu. I used to go when they had a lunch special-I have no idea if they still have it, I'm pretty sure it was only available weekdays?

Great place overall. We had great service and the food was very fresh. It is a very open place. Nice environment and service located on Mission on downtown Hayward. The sushi was very fresh, the shrimp tempura was nice and fresh, not frozen as so many do, and the ramen was very pleasant. Very much attention to detail. We will be back!

The spicy garlic miso ramen was soooooo good!!!! And the leftovers were even better! Thoroughly enjoyed this meal and will be returning!

Loveeeeedddddd their spicy garlic miso ramen!!!! The meat, noodles, flavor, and spice level was all perfect. So flavorful, I will definitely be returning! Service was great, I think family owned. Ambiance was nice too.

Visited this place on a recommendation from one of my coworkers. Upon entry we were greeted by the waitress who promptly seated us. After reviewing the menu I opted to try the spicy Tonkatsu ramen and appetizer chicken karaage. The food came out in order and within an overall decent time. The ramen was good, broth was flavorful, good amount of noodles and veggies, med-hard boiled egg (I prefer soft boiled), but only came with 2 this slices of meat. The chicken karaage was good and they gave a decent amount. Overall I enjoyed this place and will be visiting again soon!

I'm not sure why this place has bad ratings. The quality isn't the best but I do think it's one of the better ramen I've had in the east bay, besides going to Oakland or Berkeley. Their broth is less greasy than Ramen101 but this time I opted for udon since I love the thick noodles. I'd say, I'm more of a fan of Marugame Udon since their noodles are fresh and hand pulled. Whereas here I can tell it's a store bought noodle type. The egg wasn't runny or soft boiled. I should've asked for that instead. The tempura veggies were yummy! However, I wish they added more batter. My favorite out of this meal was the spicy tuna roll. It tasted fresh and it was a good portion (we ate some before I snapped a photo) The workers here are the sweetest. He packed the noodles for my friend in her to-go container and constantly checked on if we needed water. 10/10 service :) It was empty on a rainy Wednesday night for dinner but more people started to come in as time went by. This is located on the busy street, you might miss it. There's a parking lot across the street or street parking right beside it. The ambiance is cute, there's a lot of space to eat. I enjoyed my noodles and maki. I'd come again to try the ramen or some of the other rolls.

This restaurant is located on a really unique block, with lots of great restaurants and easy parking! The service was wonderful, very friendly and fast. We loved our food. My friend got the ramen, and I wasn't very hungry so I just got the tuna avocado appetizer. Food was fresh and delicious.

    Chicken wings and fries

Food was mid. Payed $11 for 4 wings and like 10 fries hard af, not sure if the cook is the owner but we let her know we were not happy with our meal and she was very rude. She also forces you to tip. Do not recommend. One bite from the wings made me sick super salty and hard, we asked for a refund or exchange but customer service was awful.

Server was very nice and attentive, I also really like how clean their menus are and most of their items on the menu include a picture. My partner got the Pork katsu ramen and I got the chicken katsu ramen, both were absolutely delicious personally I prefer the chicken katsu over pork but again that's a personal opinion. We also ordered Mixed/Veggies Tempura which tasted great (1 shrimp, 1 broccoli, 2 yams, 1 potato, 2 zucchini, 1 Japanese pumpkin)

Ordered one of their bento boxes with 3 items: chicken kara-age, California roll and tempura wings. The roll was really good, the kara-age was ok and the wings were really good. It also came with miso soup and salad both of which were good!

    The tea was really good

I've been wanting to try Haha for a while, but never had the chance. I love noodle soup and it was a cold day, so we decided to drop in for an early lunch on a Friday. It was right before the lunch rush, so there were only a few other customers there. The place itself is clean and definitely nothing fancy. It is a small restaurant that seems very affordable with good service. The server sat us right away and came by to check on us often. The food came out quick. We ordered the *spicy tonkotsu ramen 3/5 It was OK, but not spicy at all. It could've also used some garnishes on the top. *Lunch Bento box with chicken katsu and beef teriyaki 4/5 It was pretty good, but nothing outstanding. *Dynamite roll 3.5/5 Pretty decent and hearty. I think this place is mediocre, but I wouldn't mind going back and trying other menu items. It is worth a second try. The prices are good for the portion and quality. With inflation, we all need affordable, but filling and tasty meals.

From M-F, 11:30am-2pm (closing) for just $19.90, you get to pick one of the ramen bowls, and one of appetizers that are listed (at half the size). Here's what we got: FRIED OYSTERS (5) - $12 This was not one of the appetizer options to the lunch specials but sis really needed her fried oysters, haha. This comes with a side of creamy sauce that tasted like a yummy potato salad. It was awesome! The fried oysters were very hot to be careful, and it was very much enjoyed even though it scraped the roof of my mouth, haha. TONKOTSU RAMEN - $16.95 Tonkotsu (Pork Broth) chashu pork, green onion, yellow onion, soft boiled egg, fried green onion, kikurage mushroom. I'm happy that we get a WHOLE egg and not just half! Everything about this bowl was so good and creamy! GYOZA (6) - $8 Chicken/Veggie pan fried post stickers. The lunch specials only come with 3 pieces, and I'm always happy when your savory finger food comes with a dip! No complaints here! KARAAAGE (6) - $10 Fried Boneless Chicken. The lunch specials only come with 3 pieces, but they are huge! Juicy dark meat pieces, with a nice creamy srirarcha dipping sauce! Also hot, so be careful! It just means it's fresh! They have a back room that was nice and quiet. You can smell the fresh clean laundry from the laundromat next door, haha. The service was great, and everyone was so nice and attentive. We enjoyed ourselves very much, and was happily full with leftovers to snack on later!

I ordered the Kuro tonkotsu ramen, and I thought there was a nice balance of garlic flavor in the broth. There was also a good portion of pork as well, and the noodles slipped down my throat so easily. I did see more items on the menu that I'd love to try such as the curry. Next time, I'll give those dishes a try as well!

They have a parking lot available and parking is available along the side streets. The inside of the restaurant is decently sized and we were seated promptly on a weekday for dinner. I forgot what my husband got, but it was another spicy ramen. Both tasted good, I'll say that right off the bat. My husband opted for level 2 spicy and he felt like he could push it higher next time. Overall, Hinodeya is a good place for solid ramen. The chicken karaage was okay, although it would've been nice to have a spicy mayo sauce or something to accompany it. The matcha salt was different, but didn't really add much to the dish for us.

Upon my arrival the kind host greeted me immediately and allowed me to take a seat. I was unsure of what to order and I had asked the host what to get and he positioned for me to try the coconut miso ramen and lemme tell you it was honestly one of the best bowls of ramen I've had. The broth was incredibly rich and velvety, with the coconut adding a subtle natural sweetness that complemented the deep umami of the miso instead of overpowering it. It created a balanced, layered flavor that was both comforting and surprisingly refined. Every spoonful had depth, and the broth was so good that I found myself wanting to finish every last drop. The noodles had an excellent texture, firm with just the right amount of chew--allowing them to hold onto the broth beautifully. The toppings were fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and blended seamlessly with the overall dish, adding texture and flavor without distracting from the star of the bowl. What impressed me most was how harmonious everything tasted. Fusion flavors can sometimes feel forced, but this ramen was exceptionally well executed. The coconut and miso worked together to create something unique while still respecting the traditional character of ramen. If you're looking for a bowl that's comforting, flavorful, and a little different from the usual tonkotsu or shoyu, I can't recommend the Coconut Miso Ramen at Tadamasa highly enough. It's the kind of meal that stays on your mind long after you've finished eating, and I'll definitely be coming back for it. You ever slapped a lady while giving her the old baloney pony and it made you realize that this is the best thing ever to happen? It's similar to that feeling
