Although the tofu was a little dry and lacked some flavor (had to use sriracha), the chicken banh mi was flavorful and well done, though there was quite a bit of chicken. The fruity matcha with boba was also pretty good as was the Vietnamese coffee, though the coffee was on the strong side. They also sell sesame balls, French bread, and other baked goods as well. We recommend ordering ahead since there is a good amount of people coming in each morning. They take phone and online orders. This is a nice sandwich spot and they have 3 round tables with 4 seats and 4 rectangle tables with 4 seats or so. There is plenty of seating to go around. read more

The inside interior design is something more akin to a 7/11 grocery store, with a wide countertop displaying colorful and tasty looking Mochinut donuts with the back area for food options. The space is peppered with some two or three person tables as well, with a small display shelf helping to delineate where the line to the cashier starts. Regarding the viet coffee, this one was particularly strong, with a definite higher proportion of coffee to condensed milk that doesn't offend but also risks being a bit TOO strong (wild to say that when all viet coffee at its core is strong). Overall, it's conveniently located, but I think I might prefer to go further south for something with a more balanced taste profile. read more

My friend had a tea lemonade and a Thai tea mochi donut. The buns were tasty and the coffee was strong with great ube foam. I tried some of my friend's donut and the Thai tea flavor was apparent. Service was friendly though a bit disorganized as they didn't seem to a system to let people know their orders were ready. My order was also given to me in a big paper bag even though I didn't say that I wanted it to go. Not a big deal as I save paper bags for recycling but odd that they assumed I was taking my order to go when I didn't specify this. I think my order was ~$14, which I expected for a drink and two bun orders. Though they have a parking lot, space is somewhat limited with multiple business. I went to CSU East Bay for an orientation when my family and I stumbled on this absolute gem in Hayward. We literally dream of their banh mi! Straight when we walked in, we all loved the vibe of the cafe - it was spacious with cute yellow walls and mochi donuts on display. I got a grilled chicken banh mi and a boba drink, and both were delicious. However, they have many options like the aforementioned mochi donuts, K-dogs, and other desserts. My family tried their other banh mi and loved it - they had nice moisture from what I'm assuming is a nicely buttered roll, fresh vegetables, and well-cooked meat. I got them with just meat, no veggies, and was really disappointed that there was hardly any meat in them. It was probably 4-5 pieces of meat total in the entire sandwich.
