The food is yummo. Fresh crunchy vegetables and nice chef's presentation of the plate. Their table service is still a work in progress as to be expected from a new cafe.

We've been waiting for this place to open because we live so close by. Finally had a chance to check it out the other night after work. Place was cute and spacious. Staff was friendly. Food was okay. The banh mi and vermicelli bowl was good. The beef was marinated perfectly and both items had lots of flavor. The pho on the other hand was not good at all. The beef pho had such a sweet broth. I could not even enjoy it. I had to add lots of chili oil to try to dilute the sweetness. Most likely will not return.

Went in today for supper. I got salad rolls and the special pho (the p1). I was a little bummed because they don't have tripe in any of their pho, but maybe it's catering more to the Vancouver crowd overall. The salad rolls were fresh tasting and delicious. There was chili oil on the table that you cannot skip. It's spicy and delicious. The p1 pho was good as well. Fresh noodles, a good portion of beef, and crisp veggies. Also the two young women working the front were super friendly and helpful. The interior looks nice and clean as well. We will definitely be back. I'm very glad to have a Pho place so close to home!

Decided to try something different at a PHO restaurant, so I tried the Chicken Bánh Mì which was fresh, crispy bread and on the sweet side! Service was quick and impeccable! The ambience of the store was clean, empty, and spacious!!

Food was great. Staff were friendly. They serve big portions. There weren't a lot of people when we went so we were served pretty quick.

Fabulous food, service and atmosphere!…read more Inside is fashioned after a town in Vietnam and it is beautiful! There's plenty of seating, an adorable bar set up and tranquil water features. Absolutely could be a great date night. We started with an order of Crab Rangoons and Thai Tea. Both were fantastic! Some places over fry the rangoons making them overly oily or leaving a weird aftertaste. These were done just right! Filled with crab, cream cheese and celery. I would not have thought the celery would be a good addition (I hate celery) but in this moment it absolutely works! For a main we ordered round eye steak Phó and it was absolutely perfect! We agreed that the broth is one of the best we have ever had! Plenty of protein and fabulously fresh add ins (basil, limes, jalapeños and bean sprouts). Service was quick and our server was lovely. We will absolutely be back.

1st time trying this gem of VanWa. The 4.7 rating caught my eye, read the reviews, perused the menu…read moreand picked a few staples that make or break any true Vietnamese restaurant experience...I was not disappointed, I was straight up IMPRESSED. The vermicelli noodle egg rolls were yummy and the fish sauce was not too sweet, the chicken satay was pretty average as far as the meat but the peanut sauce? I'd DRINK that sweet firey goodness :P But the real star of the show was the chicken, onion, potato and vegetable curry. At first I was concerned spooning it out because the sauce was a little thinner than I'm used to, what a truly silly concern because there was more flavor in 1 serving spoon than in a cup of sauce from the same dish at other restaurants!! Seriously folks, don't walk RUUUUN to Lotus

We started with a couple Thai mules which were made with a spicy and delicious ginger beer. For food we ordered the Nem Kai from the house specials menu and, after an enthusiastic endorsement, the drunken noodles. Both dishes were amazing. The ingredients were fresh and the portions were generous. We couldn't finish so we took the leftovers home and enjoyed them the next day. I have been craving that rice dish for the past week since our visit. I will have to go back soon! The servers were attentive and helpful, even though it was closer to closing time than we thought. We sat outside and enjoyed the landscaping on a nice evening. Highly recommend this spot for a delicious meal and refreshing beverage.

Restaurant was clean. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating options. We were immediately greeted and seated upon entering the restaurant. Staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. We ordered a few appetizers to share; coconut shrimp, potstickers, chicken satay and BBQ pork fresh salad rolls. Each appetizer came with an appropriate dipping sauce. The food was good, and tasted fresh. The chicken satay was a bit dry, but the curry flavor was perfect and the peanut dipping sauce helped give it a bit of moisture. I feel like the prices were a bit steep. We only ordered one non-alcoholic beverage and 4 appetizers, and the bill was just shy of $80, with tip. I guess I didn't realize how expensive it was since last time I came for Happy Hour. Overall we were happy with our experience here; however, next time we'll make sure we hit Happy Hour for better pricing. Would recommend.

I notice this time it took time for them to clean the tables which was quite surprising but they were busy with on line orders. I've enjoyed their ban mi sandwiches. No need to street park here. AMBIANCE: The restaurant is on the smaller side with only a few tables. Each time we've come, there has been open seating for us to get seated quickly. There's a giant mural of how to eat pho like a pro. SERVICE: Never had an issue. The ladies are always quick to seat us and often refill our waters. They bring the food out hot and fresh and we've honestly never waited more than 10 minutes for our food. She was quick to come to the table to take our orders and are always courteous to us when we come in. FOOD: I always get the brisket pho. They have two sizes, small and large. They are pretty decent portions and I always leave full. They serve pho with limes, bean sprouts, and all the fixings. They have hoison sauce and Sriracha on hand as well. Now the brisket and noodles are always good but the star is the broth. I'm so picky with my pho broths and this one always has that deep, rich flavour that I look for in pho. It's a darker broth and doesn't taste watered down like some of the other places I've had in Portland. I've also had their egg rolls and I love them. Always served piping hot and crispy. OVERALL: Been here several times and have not been disappointed. Highly recommend.
