Some places over fry the rangoons making them overly oily or leaving a weird aftertaste. These were done just right! Filled with crab, cream cheese and celery. I would not have thought the celery would be a good addition (I hate celery) but in this moment it absolutely works! For a main we ordered round eye steak Phó and it was absolutely perfect! We agreed that the broth is one of the best we have ever had! Plenty of protein and fabulously fresh add ins (basil, limes, jalapeños and bean sprouts). Service was quick and our server was lovely. The 4.7 rating caught my eye, read the reviews, perused the menu and picked a few staples that make or break any true Vietnamese restaurant experience...I was not disappointed, I was straight up IMPRESSED. The vermicelli noodle egg rolls were yummy and the fish sauce was not too sweet, the chicken satay was pretty average as far as the meat but the peanut sauce? I'd DRINK that sweet firey goodness :P But the real star of the show was the chicken, onion, potato and vegetable curry. Oh how long I've been searching for you since I moved up to Washington. This is the vermicelli dish that I enjoyed so many times when I was living in Oregon City. The marinated pork was very tasty. The egg roll was perfect and vermicelli with peanuts and sauce amazing. The inside is extremely well decorated, a lot nicer than I'd expect at this price point. When I come back I'll see how much it would cost to add extra protein because I could have eaten more. The seating is very comfortable. The service is good and the food's brought out quickly. Just had a wonderful dinner with friends at Lotus Vietnamese cuisine. The wonton pork pho was filled with numerous homemade tender wontons. Baby bok choy WAM with the greatest tasting noodles, and there was so much of it! Each of my fellow diners had pho packed with vegetables and chicken or a huge stir fried rice and chicken dish that was so flavorful and aromatic with sesame oil. Delicious! Found this place close to our house, and after reading reviews, we decided to give it a shot! The ambiance as you walk in is pretty cool. So many lanterns hanging from the ceiling and lotus flowers painted on the walls. Very inviting. There was only one employee working the floor, so it took a few minutes to be seated because she was taking orders from seated guests as well. The kitchen staff did help bring out food when it was ready, so that was nice. All our food came out hot. We ended up ordering the shrimp salad rolls, chicken lettuce wraps, salt and pepper squid, and tofu drunken noodles. The shrimp salad rolls were just ok. They weren't wrapped tightly and just fell apart, making them difficult to eat as ordered. We've had better elsewhere (Nom Nom is our favorite). The rest of the food was delicious! The chicken lettuce wraps were so good! The sauce was addictive. The tofu in the drunken noodles was crispy on the outside, which we absolutely loved. The salt and pepper squid was so tender and the breading light. Overall, the atmosphere was lovely and food delicious. We'll definitely be back to try other options. Highly recommend. read more

After passing many times, finally had to give it a try. It was very quiet & peaceful in there which was nice. We started off with the papaya salad, which was really refreshing. The drsssing was different than what i was used to, but still really good. I got the meatball pho as I do at every other Vietnamese place because I like to compare. There were lots of meatballs, which was nice. It was really tasty. I don't remember the exact name of what my bf got, but it was a platter of things. Everything was tasty, he enjoyed it. Of course when you sit down, they have a little card at your table advertising the desserts. Well the words "homemade" green tea ice cream caught my eye. It was really good, strong matcha taste. I took my friend to the Lotus Vietnamese restaurant last evening. All I can say is FABULOUS! The food-the atmosphere-the service was over the top! We had the Papaya salad for starters. My friend said it was the best she ever had. For the entrees we had the House Specialty Vermicelli Bowl and the Turmeric Salmon dish-both spectacular! The food was clean and healthy and presented beautifully. We ended the meal with the Mango Mousse was to die for and not too sweet! The wine was lovely also! Our waitress was very attentive and didn't rush us with our meal but checked up on us from time to time. I loved the colorful lanterns hanging from the ceiling and the comfortable booths to sit in. The salt and pepper squid was delicious. They used crack pepper and properly sautéed the onions. The bowl of pho was standard and the pricing is great. For 16 dollars I got what I think is a typical bowl of pho nowadays and for 23 dollars you can get the larger size which is probably what most places charge for a normal size. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch here yesterday! The food was delicious. I got the tofu banh mi (a personal favorite of mine). It came with tasty mushroom fries which had a fantastic sriracha dipping sauce, which I also used on the sandwich to add a little kick. Went for lunch on a weekend. Not crowded at all. Ordered the spicy beef stew (F3), pho dac biet house beef (P1), and chicken satay. Chicken satay flavors were ok, I am more used to using ground meet for the satay rather than meat strips, but still decent when paired with the peanut sauce. I had the beef stew which was decent as well, though occasionally the spicy peppers sent me into a bit of a coughing fit. Friend who had the pho also liked her dish overall. Pleasantly surprised. The pho beef broth was perfect for me- light, clear and fresh - not overly spiced with seasoning, like other pho restaurants that I have been to. The chicken and green papaya salads were both fresh and well-made. Green papaya salad included shrimp. Portions were generous and good value. My kids enjoyed the wonton soup, which was packed with baby bok choy. Also enjoyed the Taro boba beverage. We asked for NO PEANUTS due to severe allergy - and had no problem! My SIL and I wanted to try something different for our weekly lunch. We decided on Vietnamese which we know nothing about. We chose Lotus in Hazel Dell. Upon entering the decor was welcoming and kind of calming. We informed the owner? that we were unfamiliar with this type of food. She was friendly. The menu was huge but good descriptions and sometimes pictures of the food. I can honestly say there were many dishes that looked good. I decided on House Combination Fried Rice with shrimp, chinese sausage, and chicken with various veggies. This dish had far more flavor than fried rice I have had before. It was a very large portion. I absolutely loved it. The only complaint I would have is the egg was overcooked. My sil ordered Beef Pineapple. Again a large portion. She loved it. A true test for us is if we would order the same thing again. The answer is absolutely yes but there are so many other dishes to chose from and we want to try others. We also tried the fried mushroom sticks. They were good but might not order again. A suggestion I would have is to have a specialized lunch menu. We definitely will be back. This place is amazing. First, They designed their restaurant to resemble Hoi An in Vietnam and killed it. Aesthetically, this place is beautiful and really enjoyed the calmness and mild environment. But! We are here for the food... let me tell you it did not disappoint! My wife (who is Vietnamese) and I are very picky when it comes to good, authentic Vietnamese cuisine and they blew our expectations out of the water. The Vietnamese coffee was phenomenal. From their white noodle salad, to their beef fried rice. It was absolutely delicious. The meat was amazing with zero chewiness, the presentation was rad and the service was outstanding.
