I have tried almost every Vietnamese spot in Richmond and this is currently the best one. I personally think this is the better location out of the two locations. I typically get the pork summer rolls and tofu vermicelli (pictured below). I also get the passionfruit boba. Each time, it is fresh and fast. Great place and 10/10 recommend.

Dog friendly + authentic Viet food. I got the Wonton Noodle Soup and my girlfriend got the Deluxe Pho and we both enjoyed it :)

The banh canh was flavorful but the noodles fell apart and weren't as chewy as I wanted it to be. The fried rice was good and the boba was absolutely amazing! Our cup was dirty though and the waiter took a really long time to bring our check. I was disappointed since I love the place.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and got the pho dac biet special L ($14) and Vietnamese iced coffee ($5). Service was quick and good. Food came out in about 5 minutes once I ordered. The pho broth was seasoned well and was savory. I like that they actually gave a generous portion of meat. Overall it was quite a solid pho and tasted about the same as the other Pho Thein Phat restaurant on Rigsby road. Food(50%): 8.5 Staff/service(25%): 8.0 Value(25%): 8.0 Overall: 8.3/10

The food was soooooo delicious!! Service was okay, the waiter checked in multiple times to ensure we had everything we needed. The restaurant was decorated with flowers and had a very happy vibe. The place was cold, so bring a jacket.

Came on Christmas Eve and was happy that they were open regular hours! This place is beautifully decorated and there's a ton of seating which is nice. There's also a boba stand in the restaurant. Our waiter was super friendly. We ordered a pho dac biet and the bun bo hue, with the shrimp and pork rolls to share. Everything was great- I think I've had better bun bo hue elsewhere but this one was decent!

I go to this restaurant all the time I get chicken pho, (extra spicy) which is my go to order with my newly founded favorite the shrimp spring roll. Everything is always a 10/10!!

I always get bun cha gio when i go to pho places. This location has a lot of parking and is pretty popular. The service is nice and it's conveniently located next to new grand (the grocery store). Throughout the year they also have different decorations which is super cool to see! Id come back!

When you walk in to Pho Thien Phat 2 you're met with decor that is eclectic and ever changing with the holidays: valentines day displays, Christmas trees, or yellow flowers for Lunar New Year. It's both welcoming and provides engaging to look at during a visit. Food and service are always top notch, with this establishment quickly becoming my go-to for Vietnamese rice plates in Richmond. Portion sizes are generous for a reasonable cost, while still being of high quality. I typically get the #33 which offers a bit of everything with grilled pork, pork cake, and pork skin to mix in to your rice with the pickled carrots and daikon that come on the side. And if you're needing a mid-day pick-me-up the Vietnamese Iced Coffee will always do the trick.

I especially enjoyed the Mì Xào Giòn Đồ Biển, featuring crispy pan-fried noodles topped with seafood and vegetables. It was light, flavorful, and had a great balance of seafood and veggies. I also ordered the Cơm Đậu Hũ Chiên Giòn, which comes with crispy fried tofu over rice. I wasn't expecting the tofu to be marinated, but it added a delicious savory flavor that I really enjoyed. Overall, it's a no-frills spot serving comforting Vietnamese food at reasonable prices. There was plenty of seating inside and ample parking around the building.

I think Sat down.. waited over 5 minutes. No menu no nothing. Server walking around to other table to take their order. The facility is WAY to big to have only 1 old man serving and hosting at the same time. Especially on a weekend. Not worth the wait and once i saw there was literally 4 tables who just had menus on their tables waiting to order.. i knew i had to get out before i realize that i waited over 40minutes to order. So i left right away. I may try them one day but definitely not worth dining at a place that cant spend money on waiters for their restaurant on a weekend.

The menu is loaded with many Vietnamese delights, but I was only there for Pho, so I asked what broths they make and was surprised to learn they make beef, chicken, and vegetable broths for their Pho! Many places I visit only seem to make a beef, so I was happy to be able to enjoy chicken broth with my Phở gà. I told him to pack the order securely as I had a long drive home, but that clearly didn't happen. I didn't wait long for my order, maybe 10 minutes total and when I got it, it was in a tied plastic bag, which I carried out. I felt heat on the bottom and thought maybe one of the lids leaked, so when I looked at the lids, they were very poorly secured, which is an issue. They bought terrible, cheap, low-grade quart containers, which barely hold the lid. So I seatbelted the bag in my front seat and made it home fine. But when unpacking at home, I noticed the large round containers they put the main food in had lids that was sitting on top of the base, but didn't lock on at all - Again, cheap containers. They also had a nice assortment of accoutrement in that container, but everything was mixed together, both the cold and the hot - this is NOT appropriate. You should never pack cold and hot things in a single vessel when food is "to go." Even still, we separated everything and when it came time to eat, the noodles were so soft, they were melting. The broth was on the bland side, so I found myself adding Sriracha and salt for the first time ever to my Pho broth. The veggies were fresh though. The chicken looked and tasted good, but there were several odd, dark pieces in it that wasn't appetizing to come across. Overall - I really wanted to love this experience, especially since the smell inside that restaurant was great, but I feel it was slightly less than was it should have been. I'd say this was a 3.5 star visit, but will rate on the hi-end at 4 stars. Would I return? Not for Pho.

I am not sure what went wrong, but it felt like my noodles weren't fully cooked and the broth wasn't hot enough to cook it all. Soup isn't a meal -- it's a thick beverage. Like a milkshake, but made of tomatoes and eaten while a grilled cheese sandwich watches in judgment. Pho is different. Pho isn't just a hunger suppressant -- it's an activity. Like dipping fries in ketchup or doing fondue. You get to cosplay as the chef while the restaurant acts as your sous chef. They gather the materials; you do the real work. Want lightly cooked tripe? Pull it out early. Want thoroughly cooked brisket? Let it soak. Want to eat an entire garden with your meat? Add all the bamboo, basil, and mint. Want a primitive diet? Take the garden home for the rabbit you'll slaughter tomorrow. You are the pilot of this meal. If your pho sucks, that's on you -- take notes and do better next time. If it's amazing? Congratulations. You are now a world-class Pho-er. This is exactly why I like pho to go. In the restaurant, the chefs behind the counter assume you're a n00b and finish it for you. At home, you control your destiny. PHO 95 Hai Ky Mi Gia hits all the right marks for me. I also ordered the crispy pork egg rolls. They're what you'd expect -- probably the same supplier as half the restaurants in America -- but the key difference is they didn't overcook them. That alone sets them apart. Just enough grease to coat my mouth in flavor, not so much that I could power a lamp for seven nights. Totally going back.
