Went with a couple of friends and they ordered soup. Received massive amounts of noodles with their chosen broth and choice of meat. I didn't order pho, given the amount of noodles to broth ratio and opted for fresh rolls with tofu instead. Paired with a delicious peanut sauce. The rolls I had were filling. Received way more than I was bargaining for. There was enough for all of us to eat. The restaurant was busy and some servers did not speak English, which made it hard to communicate. The ordering system is easy, you list your menu item(s) number on a sheet of paper and submit. May return to try the pho.

Beef noodle soup for beef flank, tendon, tripe

My go-to pho place in Mississauga. The bowl is also served steaming hot, and it's even better now since the new metal bowls retain heat better. The broth is always clear and flavourful. There is no choice between fresh vs dried noodles. I'm assuming the noodles are, by default, dried rice noodles. I don't mind that since I find fresh noodles to be a bit too oily sometimes. They provide you with a kindle with the menu, and you write down your order. They are very efficient and I never wait very long for my order. Casual dining spot with fluorescent lights.

My Wife's favorite Vietnamese restaurant. Food portions are generous at reasonable price. Service is good. Typical family style restaurant.

This place is good! The portions are really good size and the pho with bone (I think it's 200 and 201) are both delicious!. Very tasty and good soup base! Seating is a bit tight but it's reasonable for sure. Highly recommended!! Too bad not close to home for me.

Vermicelli with chicken and spring roll. It's a big bowl!

This is our favorite pho restaurant. We always get a large bowl of pho as part of a family style meal. The pho is very good, has a beautiful broth, good portions of meat and noodle, with a beautiful assortment of fresh local herbs atop the plate of braised sprouts. We are happy with rare beef, tho tendon is nice too. We've tried some dishes here: curry, crunchy fried noodles, stir fried beef, etc. and it has never disappointed. But our favorite traditional dishes are the platters, where you can roll your own rice wrap, and also the vermicelli bowls. This time we got the vermicelli with grilled chicken and spring roll. The chicken is grilled to charred and the spring rolls are house made, crispy with a delicious blend that includes taro inside. With the sauce and julienned vegetables, this is a filling and refreshing dish. The smoothies are quite good too. Thumbs up for the mango, avocado and jackfruit shakes, all creamy and delicious. So the prices have gone up since the pandemic but the quality seems consistently good and the portions are great. We always have leftovers to take home. I have never seen this restaurant empty. They have a good flow of customers and pick ups. Service is fast. We usually pay at the counter at the end of the meal.

Beef rib soup. Missing satay sauce

One of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Mississauga! Big menu and delicious offerings. I love the #200 Beef rib soup noodle. It only comes in large size and is so tasty and satisfying. It comes with a fantastic satay sauce! If you feel like seafood and some heat, I recommend the whelk soup noodle which comes with amazing beef betal leaf wraps! Also enjoy the pork and shrimp fresh rolls. Very fresh and comes with a generous portion of the peanut sauce. Only downsides are the limited parking and small dining space. You're eating elbow to elbow with others, which is very uncomfortable during the pandemic. They also pack excellent orders for take-out and delivery. I have ordered delivery from various food delivery apps also!

    Pad Thai

My current best pad thai. I think they put a splash of coconut milk in there? Red curry paste? It's delicious. Like it's the perfect flavour, it's a tiny bit spicy though, for those who aren't expecting it. The fried rice is also very good. They've got a really good system for order pickup. It's pretty safe during these times. So I'm glad to see they're getting business and making it really safe for us, the consumers.

    bun nem nuong chao tom

This is my dads favourite Pho restaurant and being Vietnamese, that says a lot. My parents come here all the time. My dad and I had a lunch date today and he insisted on taking me to I Love Pho, even though we passed several Pho restaurants along Dundas. I'm not picky when it comes to Vietnamese food and assumed this one was like any other but I was wrong. My dad ordered grilled chicken on rice and I ordered bun nem nuong chao tom and the serving was massive! And so delicious too!!! The serving was so big that I had a full sz serving left to take home for mom. I also ordered a mango slush and it was made perfectly. I had an hour lunch but still made it back with plenty of time. I Love Pho will definitely be my go to from now on.

    DIY fresh rolls

I am a huge fan of I Love Pho 2, and come here often as I adore their grilled chicken vermicelli. We came here this time to celebrate my parents' anniversary, and decided to try the beef course meal. As it's meant for 2-3 people, we added on another large-sized pho for good measure. The beef course was quite abundant, and came with a variety of dishes, including the following: DIY Fresh Rolls We were given a package of fresh roll papers and some warm water to dip / soften the paper for rolling. A huge plate of fillings accompanied it, with some thin rice noodles, lettuce, pickled carrots/daikon, cucumbers, some peanuts, herbs (basil, etc.), and raw beef (intended to be cooked in the hot, boiling broth). This was a fun endeavour in which the whole family got involved and enjoyed, but truly wasn't that impressive taste-wise. Meat Platter An assortment of differently cooked beef was served - there were two fat meatballs, lots of thinly cooked steak fillets, and grape-leaf wrapped beef. I found the steak fillets a touch dry, but the beef within the grape leaves were yummy! Stir-fried Beef Cubes These juicy chunks of beef were stir fried with onions and sweet & green peppers, and seasoned with a bit of pepper. They were so delicious and tasty! Not too overcooked nor tough. This dish was cleared relatively quickly. Beef Salad Slightly raw, thinly sliced beef was served in a tangy marinade / dressing with raw red onions, some herbs, and chilies. This was a refreshing break / palette cleanser from the other heavier dishes. Beef Congee Last but not least, the meal ended with two small bowls of congee. It tasted strongly of ginger (definitely quite a few pieces served with the beef), and was topped with crispy fried shallots. By this time, we were so stuffed that we weren't able to finish all of it. It was a fun experience, mostly attributed to the novelty of all the new dishes. However, I wasn't too passionate about the food - I still prefer my good ol' vermicelli or pho!

We recently reminisced about going to Bao Sandwich Bar for lunch between interviews at the University of Waterloo. I had mentioned to him that it had a second location in Mississauga, roughly a fifteen-minute drive from our workplace. He said that when we were both in the office, he'd only want to go there for lunch with me. It's nice that he trusts my judgment when it comes to eateries. I also believe that he likes my company. A couple of Wednesdays ago, he asked what I was doing for lunch. I normally hit Treats nearby. He wasn't feeling it. I said that we could go here and provided some details, including its online menu and such. I also asked him if he had any meetings. I'm that type of a planner, down to the departure time. He was game. I said that we should leave at 11:15 am. The place opens at 11:30 am. He had a meeting at 1 pm. I wanted a leisurely, unrushed lunch. Done! I drove us over there. With my lead foot, it was more like thirteen minutes, without hitting any highway. Like the Bao place in Waterloo, this one is also located on a lower level of a plaza, with a tall building at the top of this hill. I parked in front of the eatery. We walked in. We were the first customers. It looks like the place kept some of the seating from the previous business that occupied the place. The upholstery looked shabby. Otherwise, the rest of the eatery was spruced up. I got a combo consisting of these items: - Crackle belly bao - Korean garlic chicken bao - Purple flower lemonade - Dynasty duck poutine My manager got the following items: - Dynasty duck bao - Thai yum pork bao - House salad - Thai tea I took a star away because I wasn't expecting my order to be $40! It was okay for the large portion of dynastic duck poutine that I got. It was rather steep. You won't see me eating here every day. I split the poutine with my manager, so it was okay. I paid with a credit card. The transaction was smooth. It didn't take long for our food to be ready. The woman who had taken our orders was nice to bring the food to our table. I have always loved the crackle belly bao. It was equally as delicious here as it was in Waterloo. The pork belly was tasty and perfectly seasoned. The bao was nice and malleable. The veggies provided a nice contrast. I loved it. I tried the Korean garlic chicken bao. It was heavenly. The sauce was spicy and garlicky. The chicken had a crispy exterior and was juicy inside. It's nice having another decent bao to call my favourite. The purple flower lemonade was delicious. I normally don't like sweet lemonade. This version had a touch of sweetness that I enjoyed. This drink's colour was also pretty to look at. My manager enjoyed his food. He oddly doesn't like green vegetables, so I saw him pick out the cilantro and green onions. He felt that the sauces were mixed up. His Thai yum pork bao wasn't spicy. The dynasty duck that he has had in the past was oddly spicy. We had a baseline of the dynasty duck poutine that wasn't spicy to compare. Even with the sauce mix-up, he still enjoyed everything. His side salad had a bit of a spice kick, so he was happy. I loved eating here. It was a nice, casual lunch with yummy food. I wish that it were cheaper. However, the quality was excellent that I'm okay shelling out for it as someone who likely won't be dropping by weekly. (67)

I have been here before and have had the following cream buns: - Apple of my eye - Silky milk tea - Matcha I liked how the buns were packaged in little pentagon shapes. I remember inhaling mine because they were heavenly. The matcha one was delicious. I like a strong matcha taste, which it had. The cream wasn't sweet and the bun was soft. I liked how cold it was. The apple of my eye didn't have a strong apple flavour. There were a few apple bits (more like small particles that you could miss if you shoved the whole thing in your mouth), but it wasn't my favourite out of the bunch. The silky milk tea bun was so good. It was like having milk tea in a bun format, but without any toppings or a ton of sugar. We got a nice woman behind the counter. I recommended that my friend try the silky milk tea bun and matcha. She trusted me and got both. I took a look at the egg sandwich. It looked yummy. My friend got it. It was like she was getting every item that made me drool. There were also some puddings. She got caramel pudding that looked like a yummy custard in a cute little bottle. My friend paid with a debit card. Credit and debit cards are accepted. We headed over to a couple of comfy chairs nearby so I could finish my chimney treat from Eva's. She devoured her milk tea bun. She loved it. She thanked me for the recommendation. Looking back on our day together, I wish that I had bought some more buns from this place. I was too focused eating my ice cream cone. Next time!
