Tucked away in the Food Lion parking lot at King's Charter the inside of the restaurant was bright and inviting. We were immediately seated by a very friendly waiter. They quickly took out order. There are lots of really unusual choices compared with other Vietnamese restaurants I frequent. Lots of crispy noodle dishes as well as u usual broken rice offerings and unique pho like one with seared steak. I opted for the crispy spring rolls and the broken rice with beef. A friend ordered the garlic fried rice while my other ordered tofu over fried egg noodles. All the dishes came out quickly and were hot and fresh. The sauce with the spring rolls wasn't what I'm used to, but I had ample fish sauce from my meal to eat them with. They were huge!! So tasty too! My dish was so fresh and had little bites of lemongrass throughout. It was more than enough food and I left fat and happy! Definitely recommend and will be back for more. The ambiance and freshness of the restaurant were warm and inviting. My daughter ordered the kids ' chicken pho which included chicken and rice noodles with pho broth. I ordered the Bún Bò Nướng Chả Giò- grilled beef simply delicious. The entree was big enough for 2-3 people. It was tasty with lots of grilled beef my daughter enjoyed the dish. The limeade was made to order it was refreshing and not overly sweet. The wonton soup was a delicious find with clear broth and served with flavorful pork. Tried this place twice since they opened. Banh mi's are fresh are delish ! But the pho #9 is amazing. The broth is the best we have ever had and will change your life. No pho can compete to this one. My husband and I went here for the second time today. the quality of food is consistent over both visits. We ordered bbq pork and noodles or rice. Both meals were excellent with the veg and the herbs being fresh and crispy. In addition, we ordered limeade and received a wonderful, sweet, American style limeade. We also ordered goi cuon with nuoc mam instead of peanut sauce and were very pleased. We were introduced to a special "house sauce" that was supposed to be better than nuoc mam. It was good, but I loved be nuoc mam and there isn't a sauce better than nuoc mam. At some point, we started up a conversation with one of the servers and enjoyed sharing stories of time and travel to Saigon. His warmth and friendliness reminded me of my time in Vietnam. He wore what everyone I met in Vietnam wore, a beautiful, friendly, cheerful smile. We felt like we made a friend. The atmosphere of Pho Viet was precious to us because it reminded us of a favorite restaurant in Hoi An, Vietnam. The walls were vibrant, tropical colors like the beautiful fruits of Vietnam. The restaurant was clean and refreshing. They do serve Ca phe sua da with the filter over a glass of ice if you have the time to sit and enjoy it, but they will mix it up for take out. I mention this because I love the ritual of the ca phe dripping slowly over the ice and sipping the coffee while chatting with family. It's such a gift to myself and yet so many other Vietnamese restaurants have quit serving the coffee still dripping through the filter. Service was prompt also. Can't say enough nice things about this bright treasure. We will look forward to returning to Pho Viet for the wonderful food, delightful service and friendship as well as the sense of actually being in Vietnam. read more

I just tried this restaurant, for carry out. I was looking for a good Vietnamese place without having to drive 20 minutes or more to my favorite place. I got the pho tai and I also ordered vegetarian summer rolls. The pho was amazing. The broth was clear and flavorful. I have enough for two lunches. Lots of accoutrements, the rice noodles, the fresh jalapeño slices, bean sprouts, Thai basil, onion slices and chopped green onion, and cilantro, and of course, the eye round. The only drawback was getting pork summer rolls instead of the vegetarian ones that I ordered. Unfortunately, since it was carryout and I didn't discover this until I was home, there was no correcting it. That was clearly a kitchen error because it's clearly marked on the receipt that they were supposed to be vegetarian. The restaurant itself is very attractive and well decorated. I was greeted warmly when I came in, and service was fast and friendly. There were only a couple of tables occupied when I got there, and it was the height of lunch hour, so I really hope they get enough business to stay in business. I love having a good Vietnamese restaurant so close to home. read more

Phô Viet is a wonderful addition to the restaurants in the area. Service is polite, the food comes out very quickly, and the ambience is superior to most Vietnamese restaurants I've been to. Their pho is easily on par with other Vietnamese, restaurants in the area, and their short rib pho is a don't miss.
