Restaurant worker was extremely rude and passive aggressive to customers. Even the way she spoke to her coworker was uncomfortable to listen to. There is no need to announce to the entire restaurant if your coworker made a mistake. She was constantly yelling the entire time, making it impossible to enjoy the meal in such a chaotic environment. The pho came with barely any beef (literally two and a half slices), and the noodles were completely overcooked. Ordered some garden rolls and it was not filled with the normal amount of veggies so it was mostly overcooked noodles wrapped in rice wrapper. This was my first time trying Pho Saigon and chose to do carry out. I tried the large Pho Beef Steak. First the pros, the portion is large for the price you pay and you do get a good amount of broth. You also get a ton of noodles and I was satisfied with my steak portion. The downside was I didn't like that I had to pay extra for a little extra hoisin sauce and I also did not enjoy the flavor of the broth. The broth is a huge component when it comes to pho and I just didn't feel like this was the best I've had. To me it's a 3 out of 5. It is very hard to find pho since we are further South and I am used to some delicious pho from northern Virginia. Despite that I would be willing to come back and try some entrees. read more

I came because of the reviews. I love Vietnamese food. I ordered the pork with vermicelli it was horrible. The meat was tough, tasteless, and not fresh. The spring rolls that came with it were soggy and tasteless as well. I ended up throwing the whole meal in the trash. read more

We LOVE this place! The best part is that our children, who are very picky eaters love this place as well. The staff is incredibly nice, welcoming and accommodating. They talk with their customers on a personal level (almost like family). The owners even start to remember their repeat customers. My family and I are recovering from winter viruses and my 5 year old requested "chicken soup" from her favorite restaurant, Pho Saigon. It was a no brainer because my husband and I also love this family owned restaurant. My husband's been dining with them for over 20 years! Last night, we placed an order for pickup during their prime dinner service & upon arrival at the designated pickup time, everything was ready! The dining room was packed out. However, they did a great job of balancing phone orders, pickup orders, and tending to those dining in. I'm always impressed with their ability to smile while moving with such a sense of urgency. The #4 & #5 pho were just what our family needed. & Our 5 & 2.5 year olds asked for seconds which is rare! We also ordered crispy spring rolls and chicken fried rice. Both were great. read more

Pho Saigon is one of the best restaurants in FXBG, and every visit is a joy. The family that runs it remembers their customers and they always have a smile and a kind word when you visit. I have been going to them ever since I returned to Virginia 16 years ago, and I have never been disappointed. Like many small, family businesses, they are sometimes a bit short-staffed when at peak capacity. This isn't "fast food", if you're in a hurry during dinner rush hour you might want to go to McDonald's instead. The food is amazing. Nothing like a bowl of Pho on a cold winter's day, their Soft Garden Rolls with peanut sauce are spectacular, and their BÚN (Rice Vermicelli Noodles with grilled meats) are so satisfying. This place never disappoints and always has new items to test my palate. I saw a new item it was mini steamed buns which comes with four and dipping sauce. They were delicious and savory. I normally order rice vermicelli with crispy roll and fresh herbs or banh xeo which is served with lettuce and dipping sauce but I order beef pho. The soup broth was very flavorful and amazing. We have been coming to this family owned restaurant for more than a decade and cannot say enough good things. Not only is the food hot, fresh and delicious with great portion sizes, but the service puts it a step above. It's mostly 2 and 4 top tables but will easily put tables together to accommodate a larger group. As long time customer, you can see how more than 3 visits makes you a part of the family. They do a great job making you feel at home, are willing to walk through the menu and if you've been become a regular, they know your order and don't even waste time with the menu. We ordered Pho for takeout. We thought that the Pho should be good because they told us that we had to wait for at least half and hour because they had too many takeout orders. After reading so many positive comments about Pho Saigon in a local foodie group on social media we decided to give it a try. We drove about 30 mins to get there and had high hopes. The place is in a very odd, very small strip plaza in a residential area, with only food joints in the plaza. It's rather dingy looking, but some of the best food comes from places that look like that. Upon entering, it's nicely decorated inside and the owner was very friendly and wanted to engage guests in small talk. Since they had the Vietnamese Beef Stew, I knew I wanted that. My wife go Chicken Pho and we split an order of spring rolls. The spring rolls were decent, just didn't have the zing or pop in flavor we are used to with spring rolls, but they were definitely freshly made. The chicken pho was really nicely done, though not the best she's had, she liked it a lot. The beef stew was just alright... honestly, my wife makes much better Vietnamese beef stew. This one was missing the lemon grass flavor, as well as many other vibrant flavors. If seemed almost like they put beef into a beef Pho with way over-stewed carrots. The carrots were so over-cooked, that they were mushy. And so much of the beef was loaded in complete fat and gristle. I've had much better before at other places, including at home. Their Jasmine tea was really good and the service was decent. I could definitely see coming back, I'd just get other items next time. read more
