Shrimp fried rice with chili paste

I was originally shocked with my total for these 2 items. $25. But when I opened the container, they were very generous with the shrimp and the fried rice is really good. Can't complain. Try them out! happy to support local businesses

Finally came back with my family!! My wife hadn't had pho in a very long time, and so she was very pleased with her pho here. Our kids loved their usual favorite dish of spring rolls and pork vermicelli. They also loved it! Their grilled pork is sweet and very delicious. Highly recommend this place. The service is excellent and they're simply amazing Thank you so much for serving such good quality food and service.

Through the years this has been my go to place for Pho, but something seems to have changed. The service was still great, the restaurant was very clean, but my Pho wasn't special anymore . I always order the eye of round and brisket Pho and this time the brisket was really thick and tough. The broth also seemed off, bland and lacking flavor. I always add hoisin sauce and sriracha which helped but I was disappointed. The regular size is up to $14.95, which isn't a huge deal but due to the aforementioned issues, the value wasn't there. I hope this was just an off day but I may not be going back for a while.

I'm still trying to figure out why this place has such good ratings. 1. Bathroom: For an older restaurant they should just replace the sink or remodel the bathroom. You can see the mold growing around the sink. My wife made the mistake of using the bathroom and she couldn't even eat her meal afterward. 2. Dining area smell of cleaning solution 3. Bo luc lac is not that great nor is the bun. There is no grilled mark on the pork and the eggroll was old - can taste spoilage about to happen. Never again - wasted $50

This was so good and fresh, service was quick and kind, we were the only ones at this time in the restaurant. But what an amazing food Favorite place to eat!!!!!!!!

This is the vermicelli dish with beef, shrimp, and eggroll

Amazing cuisine, both visually and taste awesome! I've tried a lot of Vietnamese cuisine all over the United States and this one is one of the top

Some of the best pho in all of round rock. The staff is amazing as always. One of my go to spots when I am in the area. 10/10 recommend.

Combination Rice Clay Pot and Grilled Pork Patty (a summer roll of sorts).

This restaurant is one of the best Vietnamese places in Round Rock. Since I discovered them while living in Cedar Park and would drive there regularly, I guess I could say they are one of the best in the area in my opinion. Their are dishes here that most other Pho restaurants don't have such as the appetizer nem nuong com (grilled pork patty spring roll) appetizer, the clay pot dishes along with the banh xeo (Vietnamese crepes) which are not an egg crepe but made with flour, liquid and spices). All of these dishes are DELICIOUS and I have so many more to try. The staff is nice and efficient. I like that the restaurant is fairly quiet, no kitchen noise or blasting TVs which allows for conversation without straining to hear your meal companions. The food quality is very good and I highly recommend this restaurant if you want a delicious meal.

    Beef fried rice

Last night, I placed an order to-go at 6:39 PM and was given a wait time of 15 minutes. I ordered the Beef fried rice and the Canh Chua Tom Nau Thom ($35.75). Canh Chua Tom Nau Thom- Vietnamese sweet and sour soup (canh chua) is an example of everything that is great about Vietnamese cooking. It uses a variety of fresh vegetables and herbs to produce a soup of contrasting yet complementary textures and flavors. Canh chua is a traditional Vietnamese home cooked soup that perfectly encompasses the delicate balance of sweet, sour, salty and spicy, all in one bowl. You can have this soup on its own to warm you up on a chilly day or have it with steamed rice and other side dishes for a heartier meal. I had this soup with a smidge of rice. The amount of tamarind pulp in this dish was ideal. It provided the right amount of tartness to the soup. The manner in which this soup is prepared here is authentic and the best version I have had of this outside Da Nang. Cơm Rang Thịt Bò- This dish was outstanding! The rice was creamy and not dense. The way this was prepared had more of a Saigon influence as opposed to somewhere like Hanoi, where the fried rice has more of a pickled mustard green taste. #supportlocal

Vermicelli bun with pork. Pretty tasty with a generous portion. Atmosphere is perfect for a cozy lunch or dinner. I'll try something else next time.

So much better than I expected and unlike anything else we have tried. The crawfish was crispy and flavorful and came with a bowl of white rice and a lemon and pepper dipping sauce. B10. Lemongrass Vermicelli Stir Fry Combo ($17): The receipt said spicy but it was not spicy at all. The combo comes with 3 proteins including chicken, shrimp, and beef, and we added grilled pork ($5) and bi ($3) so we ended up with 5 types of meat in the bowl. The flavors were well balanced even with everything going on and the bowl was absolutely humongous. We were stuffed afterwards.

The…read moreThai basil leaves were absolutely ginormous, and they gave us plenty of them alongside very fresh limes, which I appreciated. The bowl itself came loaded with meat--they definitely weren't skimping to save money here. The meat-to-noodle ratio felt great, and every bite actually had substance instead of leaving me fishing around for toppings. As for the broth, I landed somewhere in the middle. It wasn't quite as clear or light as I personally prefer, leaning toward a fattier, milkier undertone that almost reminded me of a Vietnamese pho take on tonkotsu. The flavor itself was undeniably very good, but the richness may have been a bit too much for me personally. One way I usually judge how much I love a pho broth is whether I want to sip the bowl down to the very end, and this one wasn't quite light enough for me to want to do that. I've had richer and deeper pho flavors elsewhere, but I still appreciated the flavor profile here and could absolutely see why this place is so popular. It feels hearty, comforting, and satisfying in a way that clearly resonates with many people. Despite how packed the restaurant was, the atmosphere ended up being surprisingly pleasant. Service moved very quickly, which honestly impressed me given how busy everything felt. Even with the crowd, I didn't dislike the spacing or setup at all--the restaurant still felt comfortable, and the sound of people enjoying their food all around added to the lively, welcoming energy rather than making it feel overwhelming. Overall, Pho Phong Lưu ended up being one of those places where I completely understood the hype, even if it didn't become my personal favorite pho spot. While the broth leaned richer than my preference, I still enjoyed the experience and definitely look forward to trying other dishes next time.

And honestly it's better than any fancy restaurant out there. I love the amount of plants in the space and the TV plays cooking videos and it's so nice to watch while waiting for your food! Speaking of waiting for your food, the food comes out super quick! Within 1 minute of ordering my drink, it came out! And a couple minutes after follows the food. The service is amazing as well, the servers are super sweet and are very quick to serve you and get what you need. The menu offers a bunch of things, appetizers, main dishes, desserts, and the drinks! I love how the desserts and drinks are also Vietnamese (most of the time I notice restaurants tend to have the basic selection of fountain drinks and desserts, but this restaurant has a wide variety of drinks and desserts so you can try something new every time you come here!) Most of all, there's a bunch of vegan dishes which I absolutely love. The food is always delicious I've been trying the vegan dishes recently and I love them a lot (as someone who doesn't like vegan dishes normally)! The chicken pho is also so delicious it tastes better than I make it at home! So much flavor. The drinks are so good as well. They also give you a big portion and I normally have leftovers, but the portion size is amazing for the price that you pay. It's definitely more affordable and such a bang for your buck. This is definitely a spot to try and trust me, you'll probably fall in love! If I was an Austin tourist I would definitely hit up this restaurant. I could go on and on about this restaurant.

We ordered the lemongrass stir fry vermicelli (lemongrass stir-fry on top of vermicelli bowls filled with fresh herbs, shredded lettuce, cucumber, pickled carrots, and crushed peanuts. Served with a side of house sauce with chili and pickled carrot) for our child and didn't realize it was spicy. She ended up downing an entire glass of water and couldn't finish her meal. The inside was vey inviting and tastefully decorated. We had the Beef Bulgogi Bao, this was really yummy. The bao was soft and delightful. The beef had a sweet bulgogi glaze that worked really well with it. The rest of the toppings added a nice balance without overpowering the meat. My only wish was that it was 4 baos and not two since they are so small. The highlight was the Firecracker Shrimp. Be warned this is not a spicy dish like you might think from the name. The crispy shrimp was crunchy and not soggy at all, it felt pretty clean and not greasy. It came with salad, rice and a spicy soy sauce and it was just so good. With 12 shrimp, it's definitely shareable between 2 people. Lastly we had the Vietnamese iced coffee which was $6. It tasted like Ovaltine and was mostly ice with just a few sips. I wouldn't recommend it unless the cup size is increased or the price is decreased. So overall, it's a bit pricey. The menu was also a little confusing. We checked online prior to coming and they had a lot of stuff but when at the restaurant, there were only a few items listed which caught us off guard. We actually ended up ordering the wrong item (firecracker shrimp when we actually wanted dynamite shrimp, ultimately it worked out cuz it was delicious but the problem still stands). So those are the only cons I can think off. Other than that, The place was fantastic. Did not think Hutto would have a place of this caliber. We will be back to try the rest of the items, it all looked so good. Definitely will be a repeat customer. 4.5 stars rounded up for now.
