This is a low-key restaurant. As many times as I had been in this plaza, I never really noticed it was there. But one day, a vegan coworker and I were looking for somewhere to eat, and I found this online. We went on a weekday late in the lunch time frame, and had no problem being seated right away. My husband and I went here today for the first time. I lived in Troy and Clawson for about 10-12 years so I'm used to the Vietnamese restaurants there, which are usually better-priced - however, the food here was very good. I ordered a pork banh mi sandwich ($10) and it was delicious, especially the bread. They have a few banh mi options, and the bao buns also looked great. My husband ordered a large pho, with meatballs and steak, and it was HUGE (as it should be for the price, I think it was $17-18). My friend's husband also got a pho dish, and my friend is eating gluten-free right now so she had some fresh rolls (spring rolls with translucent wrapping). I noticed they have bubble tea too (but $8.95, expensive). My husband also said a 20% gratuity was added to the bill, so keep an eye out for that (vs. adding additional tip). That being said, the food was very good, and I would return, for that reason. I also feel like there are not a lot of Vietnamese places in this area, vs the East side (Troy, MH, etc) which is probably why the prices are higher here. read more

Delicious bao bun and rice noodle chicken curry. The bun is small. The chicken curry dish was huge. Glad I was sharing both. The flavors of the curry dish are incredible. My only critique is that I wish there were slightly fewer noodles and a bunch more veggies. Maybe next time I'll see if they will adjust that way. Regardless it's tasty. And the service was friendly. Quite good! I really enjoyed the pho and summer rolls. The summer rolls (called cold rolls here) were on point! All fresh ingredients and nicely rice wrapped to perfection. It was provided with a small container of peanut sauce. Two rolls provided per order. I had the "P4" pho (comes with thinly cut brisket and tripe). Since this was a takeout order, it was provided deconstructed. Portions of the various ingredients were ample and included the following: basil, sliced green onions, sprouts, hoisin packets, sriracha packets, jalapeños, lime wedges, noodles and the meats. The presentation was excellent, meaning nicely organized. Broth was very good. Was provided warm, not hot. Maybe it cooled on return drive? Flavor did not blow me away but it was still very good. Maybe it was on the healthier side and thus more diluted?? Either way, I would return. The cost was fair but with some room for adjustment ($29.56 cash price). Oh, there's a service fee for credit card payment. Portions were enough for two. Glad to try other menu items so I can push to 5 stars. Summary: definitely a good place! read more

Yes its chunkier and crabbier but man when I worked at a Chinese carry out restaurant, I swear to you we gave out 6 for $4.95- we just put a little less crab and a little more of everything else. I honestly feel like the price does not match the value you get here. I have frequented this place a few times and the pho broth does not blow me away for their pho. If you are planning to order a summer roll, crab cheese and a pho with meatballs be prepared to pay up $44. It's absolutely ridiculous. Excellent and authentic little Vietnamese place on the NW corner of 12 Mile & Orchard Lk in Farmington Hills. No frills, always spotless, maybe 16-20 wood tables. Place your order in the back then have a seat. Note that they do have a surcharge if you pay by credit card. Diverse clientele. The food. Their beef Pho ($15) is unbelievable with a rich broth, fresh veggies and good quality lean shaved beef. All the fixings are included. The beef and chicken Vietnamese Sandwiches (banh mi) are all superb with crunchy veggies and tender meats (around $10). Ask for jalapeños on the side. For lighter fare try a salad with their sweet and vinegary dressing. Try the salad roll appetizer with creamy peanut sauce, it's to die for ($9.50). Shrimp and other seafood is above average quality. Rice bowls are available and savory. Vegetarians will be quite happy here. If you like Vietnamese this place won't let you down! read more

Very good overall. I find that Vietnamese restaurants are very consistent between different businesses, meaning that they often have the same menu items and generally taste like one another. Usually I'll get Pho or Bahn Mi from such places, but I got that day's special which was a Vietnamese beef stew. I requested it with rice noodles and also got Thai tea and fried spring rolls to start. The spring rolls were amazing. The amount of crunch and flavor in each bite was addicting. If I had two orders of it I feel like I would be satisfied with my meal. The beef stew was quite hearty and robust, but its honestly not that different from Pho. My only other complaint is the Thai tea was not good, and the bobas got stuck together and stayed at the bottom of the cup which tells me they were probably old or not stored properly. Aside from these minor grievances I will still come back because the menu looks great. read more

Food Vietnamese food tucked away in a corner of this strip mall on 12 mile and orchard lake. Good for dining single or in groups. pho, spring rolls are my favorite here but they have other authentic dishes and I saw one diner having bone marrow. They have about 50 dishes. They do add a service charge for cards like most do now which is listed and an automatic 20% gratuity which isn't . I came in for lunch when I was nearby for an appointment. It was a bit empty and quiet, but I got great service, and the food was yummy. I ordered the lemonade and the beef & egg roll vermicelli bowl. Make sure you ask for their chilli oil that is made in house. It was the best part! This is one of my favorite locations to go when craving a big bowl of PHO. My partner likes the meaty stuff & I am vegan so sometimes finding a place we can both agree on comes with challenges. This pho is very consistent and the food always comes out fast. It is worth the 30 min drive for me. The only thing that may be a negative is the prices here are the most expensive of any Vietnamese around. But it is definitely worth trying if you've been contemplating. Enjoy! read more

The vegan pho here is very flavorful. However the tofu put into the dish needs some work. It could benefit from being marinated and not deep fried for this dish. Also, I've been here on a few occasions and they increased the price of the spring rolls which is fine. But, they now cut them in half with two less full pieces. They make it abundantly clear on every page of the menu that all food is made to order and can not be returned or exchanged, sounds like this was has been an issue in the past then? Ordered two chicken pho soups one extra veggie (bok choy and carrotsand bean sprouts. We got smalls since the large is more rice noodles and broth. I am hoping for some dessert nearby. I noticed after I ordered some gross grease or juice up the wall to my right, not so appealing to have that by me. The chicken pho is hot and ready for consumption. The broth base is decent, the hoisin and sriracha makes it better, of course. Make it the way you want, mine is spicy. Had a bit of chicken skins in my soup, but the rest was good. Lean white meat. The veggies aren't bad, carrots are rough cut, more fitting for a stew. The bok choy, Thai basil, limes, Jalapeño and bean sprouts were all nice medleys for the pho. I went to this place for the 2nd time, last time we were invited for dinner and I really liked their curry and noodles so wanted to get another taste of it. Place had a weird smell but service was very good and prompt. We really enjoyed our food but here comes the part that totally dropped my satisfaction. When checking out, I was not told that 20% of tip was already included, plus I was just asked to sign the voucher without even showing me the receipt. I felt this was totally and imposition and found the total amount excessively expensive. For a Pho restaurant, this place is so expensive that I wont come back neither recommend. read more

Just wanted to give this place another shout out. I have been coming now pretty much every week I'm in town to go through the menu, and I have made it through half so far. My opinion has not changed the food is delicious and the ladies in the front are awesome (of course I have the same waitress every time). I realized tonight I even love the music soothes me as I take in the extremely well balanced flavors of this great cuisine (can't just call it food). This is my favorite restaurant, that also happens to be owned by a woman, located on Orchard Lake Rd. in Farmington Hills, Mi. The cooking is done by Sherry and her mother. Everything in the restaurant including the buns and the sauces and salad dressing is homemade and absolutely amazing. I try to go there regularly. The flavors are like a symphony in my mouth. In addition, the waitresses Kalyn and Tarla as well as the fellow (I am sorry I can't remember his name are amazing, friendly and have great personalities. As does the owner Sherry. Went here last week after not having been for several years. When they first opened it was good, not great, which is why we didn't make it a regular place, but it's gone WAY downhill from there. For starters, they have two people working lunch and neither seemed especially industrious. A lot of phone checking and not noticing customers staring and waiting to give orders. Anyway, we were stunned by the prices. A "small" pho is $17. The large is $18. I don't understand how that works but everything was insanely overpriced. We were starving and short on time so leaving and starting over wasn't an option and we remembered it being decent so we ordered a vermicelli bowl and some appetizers. The tofu app is $11 and it's five cubes of fried tofu. The salad roll (no meat) was $10! Both totally tasteless and the dipping sauces really didn't help. No herbs in the salad roll. Just lettuce, fried tofu and a huge amount of waterlogged rice vermicelli. The vermicelli bowl ($20!) was mostly the same mushy, waterlogged rice vermicelli and some strips of gray meat with a few blobs of fat the size of a marshmallow. It was totally nauseating to try to eat around. There was no flavor, no texture besides mush, and a sickening amount of flabby gristle and awful meat. We had a hard time getting out because apparently they don't bring you a bill, you have to go to the counter to pay, so we sat for a while not knowing this and were in a hurry. Plus tip those three items were $50! We don't even get drinks! It was totally disgusting and I honestly can't believe they're in business. You can be cheap and crappy so at least people know what they're getting but you cannot be crappy and expensive! We were upset about this for days! Never again. read more

I really wanted to like this place but nothing was impressive and SO far off from the ones in Madison heights/Warren. I ordered pho, bahn mi, avocado smoothie, and egg noodle stir fry. The egg noodle tasted like legit nothing. The bahn Mi was so tiny that there was barely any substance inside - not to mention the bread was so tough that it hurt my jaw to chew it. The avocado smoothie was full of ice chunks and not thoroughly blended. You can tell when a place has a nice blender and when they don't. The pho was ok but just not up to par.
