What an unexpectedly GREAT eating experience at Pho Chopstix recently! Located at the southern-most end of the Meijer Tel-Twelve strip mall, ample parking is available along with ADA spaces. The restaurant interior is much larger than expected; clean and fresh-smelling too. Booth and table / chair seating options are available. On this late morning weekday, shortly after it opened, the restaurant was quiet and uncrowded. Conducive to conversation over lunch. The menu, in both Vietnamese and English was detailed and descriptive. Our young server answered questions, offered excellent recommendations, helped instruct us about using the side plate of fresh beansprouts with one's pho entree. Thanks! My Phô Dǎe Biêt - a LARGE, steamy soup bowl of rice noodles, broth, eye round steak, beef, meatball, and a bit of tripe and tendon was divine. I added the beansprouts with fresh basil leaves for a nice texture and flavor variant. It was filling, and there was enough left to take home too! The Cha Giô Spring Rolls (x 2) came out hot and crispy fried. The accompanied Vietnamese garlic dipping sauce was absolutely delicious. I ordered a Vietnamese Coffee. It came sweetened with condensed milk, and served over ice. A nice finish to the meal, kind of like dessert! This location is situated between a Best Buy and GNC off of Telegraph rd right by a car dealership. It has easy access and great parking even on the busy weekends. Had a casual lunch with friends. The summer rolls (veg and with shrimp) are delicious although they could use some more herbs for additional flavor. The Vietnamese Papaya Salad and the Vietnamese Friend rice were delicious and a generous portion size. The Banh Mi sandwich with beef was juicy and moist and the bread had a perfect crunch. I told him I was here to pick up my food and they said we're closed. I asked for a refund because they still charged money to my card. The people working there said they couldn't give me my money back. I called the next day asking about it and they still would not give me my money back. I had to dispute the charge of my bank. I've had this place bookmark for at least a year or more now. I went to grab my shoes at the repair shop nearby. It all works out that I was in the area. I ordered a P14 (chicken pho) and a limeade to start. I got a house special chicken vermicelli noodles to go and a grilled chicken summer roll for my husband and an avocado tropical shake. They don't give you much veggies for your Pho here, got more basil at least. The broth is decent. The chicken slices are rather fatty and not my thing. They need to be trimmed for me more. The noodles are chewy and nicely cooked at least. My limeade took a while. I was halfway done with my soup by the time it came to me. It's super sweet, needs to be more tart. Mixed it up, it's still way too sweet to me. The waiter made me a new one, more tart, much better. The chicken pho soup broth is yummy. The avocado shake is smooth, creamy and so nice. The grilled chicken summer roll was good. The chicken was even a little crispy. I ate mine with sriracha over the sweet sauce. The house special chicken vermicelli was too bad. I came here ready to order, but their food was going to take 20-25 minutes. So, I will have to place online and pick it up or go when they aren't as busy. What was concerning is that all their tables had empty dishes on them, and no one was clearing them. There were only 1-2 tables with people and 2 people waiting on carryout. Tried this place today, husband and I both ordered the P2. It was good. Broth had good flavor and there was a good amount of meat and noodles. It was served with lemon wedges instead of lime, which was a little disappointing to me. Place looks a bit dirty. Floors, tables, plastic drinking cups, all look like they need a good, deep cleaning, or to be replaced. It took a while to get our food, but in their defense, there was only one guy working the entire floor. First time out for a meal since covid. Found this place because the other place we usually go for Pho (little Saigon in Madison heights) does not have dine in. We were skeptical at first since they spell chopsticks with an "X". The place is clean and not busy (which was great) and the smell was pleasant (Asian food smell ). The server checked our temperatures when we were seated (totally appreciate that). We ordered A1, P1 and B2. The summer rolls (A1) was good. We had a lot of summer rolls in our lives and this one hold up probably one of the best. The flavor was on point. The B2 was great too. I was a bit disappointed about the portion size when I first saw it though it was very tasty and I was full after all. My husband has the P1. He was satisfied and finished almost all the broth. We emptied the bowls and plates. While there were only two tables occupied, there were quite some customers buying takeouts. Our overall experience was very positive and will definitely be back soon (especially this place is a lot closer to home than Little Saigon). Glad we found this place. read more

Stopped by Best Buy to pick up a phone case and noticed this Vietnamese restaurant next door. Deciding to check it out was definitely the best decision of said day. Pho Chopstix is a fast casual style sit down/carry out restaurant. As the name would entail, most of their fare includes different variations of the Vietnamese Pho noodle soup. I opted for the shrimp pho, I think it was number 13 on the menu. I paid the extra $2 to upgrade to the large version. I also decided to try a bahn mi sandwich which was a nice add on. I choose the carry out option though I wouldn't have minded eating here either. The restaurant was clean and had some relaxing yet upbeat music in the background. It was about 30 minutes to close and she asked me if I'd like any fresh spring rolls and I agreed. The cashier brought my food out about 10 minutes later and I was on my way home. I don't know much about pho or carry out pho but apparently it is a do it yourself project. My shrimp pho order consisted of: 1 quart of beef broth (my choices were either veggie or beef) and a styrofoam container containing a large mound of thin white noodles and generous portions of mint, cilantro, white onion, jalapenos, and shrimp. I combined the broth and the other ingredients in a large soup bowl and dived in. I probably should have reheated the broth as the soup majorly cooled down once adding all the other ingredients. The shrimp and vegetables were cold in the styrofoam but I guess that must be to prevent them from wilting. (I re-separated the broth and microwaved it for 90 seconds and re-introduced it to the solids. Now they were all piping hot.) Once my construction project was complete, I was rewarded with a delicious, ridiculously large bowl of pho. The bahn mi sandwich was tiny but awesome. Like a bahn mi slider almost. A small french baguette with pork, carrots, and cilantro, all covered in a sweet sauce. The fresh spring roll was filled with shrimp, some greens, and the same noodles as the pho. It came with a peanut sauce. I ate these the next day and they were alright. Altogether, I was glad I stumbled upon Pho Chopstix. I look forward to stop by again next time I am driving through Southfield. read more

So maybe dining in is a better option or possibly we got the xl pho last time, anyways it seems like you get more food when you dine in. Especially with the grilled pork that came with the vermicelli pork bowl it seemed a little sparse and only filled the small corner of the to go container (dish is one size only). I must have been really hungry last time because the pho broth this time was not as flavorful as I had remembered but it had the perfect level of saltiness and wasn't bad. It looked like Pho Lucky basically changed its name -- which is a good thing, as I really liked Pho Lucky. This time, I got a carryout of one of the dishes with meat (I really can't tell the difference between most of them.) They packaged the broth separately from all the veggies and meat, which was really nice; it meant that I didn't accidentally have spice! The broth was delicious. I also got my favorite summer rolls. I'm a little in love with this mix of vegetables and seafood (I think) in rice paper. They've actually surpassed egg rolls in my estimation! As mentioned by others, the portions are large (I got 3 servings out of the "small" bowl) and the price is small. Definitely worth a trip! read more
