Most spring rolls I have had were overpowered with either mint or lemongrass, but not these. They were fantastic. Nice and refreshing. The pho didn't disappoint either. The broth was flavorful and not overpowering, and I actually took a lot of it home because it was a lot of food (it was the regular size. The large would have been unreal). The service was really good, and they staff were really attentive. I will point out that there was a sign at the register that said they would not remake a dish just because it was too spicy. It has been a little difficult to find vegetarian pho in Indiana but Pho VN really came through with theirs. The spring roll appetizer was very good, especially with the peanut sauce; we didn't want to stop eating it. Both bowls of pho came out pretty fast. The broth for the veggie pho was flavorful and it had a lot of veggies and tofu. They also give you a lot of bean sprouts on the side to add to your soup. Came here for dinner on a Sunday night and was so excited to see a sign for weekend special featuring Bun Bo Hue. I love me some Bun Bo Hue and was absolutely delighted to see that they served it with pork blood cubes! Not all places do that but it's such a treat when they do. Also ordered the Pho Bo Vien and noticed their pho broth is on the sweeter side. Still very yummy and $13 for regular size is reasonably priced. Large size is $14. How have I not raved about Pho VN yet? My wife and I have a standing date once a year on the same day to come here: 1. Because we love it that much. But 2: Because a few years ago we realized while in the restaurant that we'd been there on the same day a year prior! So it's become our official Pho Date night. I picked the #16 with 5 types of meat in pho for $16. First time and will be my only time with tendons. Meatballs were recognizable. Thin slices of other meats. One type had fat. Oh, I did not realize I would have to pull the fresh basil off their stems; I think it was a lot. Limes but no lemon for water. Jalapenos were milder after they soaked in the booth. Onions were strong. Not a fan of bean sprouts when it comes to eggrolls but I ate them now in the pho for the benefits. Service was a little slow upon checkout. I should have ordered the popular #22 for $14 steak and brisket pho or the #17 NY strip loin pho for $15. I took half of my regular size pho as leftovers. read more

This was our second time here. The first time we both got pho and it was delicious. This time we started with pork spring rolls and crab rangoon. Both were great! Some of the best and piping hot fresh crab rangoon I've ever had. Since I had pho last time, I tried pork banh mi this time. It was good. Decent size, but not huge. About the size of a 6 inch sub. One person ordered a regular size pho (there is a larger size) while another ordered a pho from the kids menu. Pho portions are huge no matter what size you get! The kids size was almost as big as the regular! Neither person could finish their regular or kids size pho as both were so big! Everyone left with a full stomach. Service is good. Can be a little slow depending on how busy they are as there only seemed to be a couple of servers. The ambiance is lacking. It's a former mexican restaurant and those details remain with not much traditional Vietnamese decor. However, I was disappointed with the service during my meal. Our server did not check on us at all during the meal to see if we needed anything. I guess I imagined it different as I pictured having flavorful grilled steak slices over the pho. Instead it was thinly sliced like the normal flank or round steak that would come with your pho. The pho was hearty and the broth was tasty. However, the steak had an odd taste that I could not describe. I think that grilled steak slices over the pho would be a lot better. I also upgraded to the large bowl of pho for $1 more, which was worth it. The portion size was generous, however after the meal I was super thirsty. I am concerned about the amount of MSG or salt in the pho. Overall, I give Pho VN Cuisine 3 stars. This pasty white boy is no expert in vietnamese cuisine. I do travel for a living but the the 50-75 times I've experienced Pho have all been in Canada or the USA. This pho tonight which was the pho Tia nam may have been the best I've had or at least top five. I ordered the large and then also asked for extra noodle. It was served in a large bowl but you could tell the noodles were added. It was hard at first to have just the broth which so much going on in the bowl. The broth was slightly brown but clear and had depth of flavor. There were plenty of strips of beef and an over abundance of noodles that were perfectly cooked. Came here after self care day. We were seated quickly. Orders were taken quickly. I feel like it took awhile for the food to come but I was also hungry. Initially the waiter brought out 1 order of veggies for my friend and I to share. Usually I use it all for my huge bowl of soup plus on the menu it states it comes with it. I guess I figured for each order there is a plate of veggies for your pho. Portion size was huge we had enough to fill up a to go container. The spring rolls were huge and fresh. We drove far in order to try out this restaurant and I was not disappointed! It wasn't busy so we got seated right away, although the restaurant was actually bigger than I first thought. We ordered the Nem Nuong Cuon #3 (spring rolls), Com Suon Dai Han #72, Bun VN Special #41, and of course a large Pho VN Special #16. Food came out fast and we inhaled it all. It is located in a strip mall next to a seemingly ever expanding area in Fishers. Plenty of parking available. We were seated immediately upon arrival and the staff was great. The menu can be a little intimidating if you are new to Vietnamese cuisine. Our waiter did a great job explaining the different items in the most basic way possible. Prices are reasonable and there is a good selection. I like pho, but really wanted to try the chicken banh mi. The waiter suggested getting a kid's size pho (slightly smaller size and only $7) in combination with the banh mi (also $7). It was essentially my own pick two of soup and a sandwich -- what a perfect combination. Soon after ordering, they brought out a plate of garnishes for the table. When our food was brought out, the server spent time going over the various sauces on the table including how to mix and match for the perfect flavor combination depending on spice preference. I started with the banh mi, and it absolutely delicious. The baguette was crunchy and paired well with the seasoned chicken and fresh vegetables. We had some leftover peanut sauce from an appetizer of spring rolls so I dipped it in that, and it added the perfect touch of savory -- highly recommend a side of peanut sauce to dip the banh mi in. The chicken pho was delicious as expected, and the kids size was the perfect amount to pair with the banh mi. Overall, the food and service was very much deserving of 5 stars. read more

If you are looking for Authentic Vietnamese cuisine this place is a must try. It was my first time in a Vietnamese restaurant and I loved it. This place has a sufficient parking lot in front. When you enter the restaurant there is a nice big reception area and plenty of seating options in the dinning area. Our server and the staff here are very friendly and helpful. We requested them to give us rice noodles with chicken for the kids and they gave us that with the sauce on the side so if the kids didn't like the sauce they can have it without it. I ordered Pho Ga Nuong and my wife ordered Pho Chay vegetarian. We loved the food. I ordered a large portion and my suggestion is if you are very hungry then you order the large portion otherwise the regular size should be sufficient. I recommend this place. read more

I get the vegetarian pho with non fried tofu and it warms me up so much. Perfect winter dish. I get the kids size (the regular portion is quite large) and it's the perfect amount with some still left over. Comes with steamed veggies. I cannot forgot the spring rolls though - they're truly the best around town. My whole family has tried dozens of Pho restaurants and this place has the most hearty, full, and fresh spring rolls. Pho is one of my favorite meals and Pho VN has some of the best pho that I've tried in Indy. We came in on Saturday for lunch and it was pretty quiet. Menu is very extensive and has a lot of traditional Vietnamese dishes. For starters, we got the shrimp and pork spring rolls (2pcs per order). These were okay but kind of missing in flavor. I wish there was some more mint or herbs to add some additional flavor. I got the large pho ga (chicken breast) and after one sip of the broth, I knew it would be an amazing meal. The broth was clean, aromatic, and savory. Some of the best pho that I've tried. Noodles were perfectly cooked. The chicken breast was simply poached so it nothing too special, but I appreciate the generous amount of chicken. I saved the peanut sauce from the spring rolls and dipped the chicken into it to add some additional flavor. My fiancé got the grilled chicken pho, which had some of the most juicy and flavorful grilled chicken. The chicken came on the side so it wouldn't become soggy. Definitely would recommend ordering this! Pho came with the traditional add ins of bean sprouts, mint, and lime. There were only 2 small pieces of lime initially but I was able to ask for some additional lime from our waiter. Food and service was quick and friendly. Prices were very affordable, only $11.50 for a large pho ga! Such a steal in this economy. I can't wait to go back to try more of their menu. read more
