Nice and crispy on the outside without being greasy. Flavorful filling and a wonderful dipping sauce. The same description can go for the Shrimp appetizer and the crab rangoon. I had the wun sen salad with shrimp. I ordered the medium and it was quite spicy. Made me sweat a bit, but altogether delicious. So the spice level is spot on, no need to order up. Thai Eatery sits off North Michigan Road in Zionsville. There are a couple Thai options close by this area. They all are pretty good for me, a vegetarian who loves tofu and a lot of veggies and noodles. My parents were in town, and my wife and I try a new place with them each time they visit. Ambiance: there was plenty of booth seating available. Was very nice with a nice mural painting. Plenty of signs with food pictures and their names. Taste: I got the number 32- cashew nut special with tofu. For hot/ it was pretty hot. Felt it was tasty. 8.5/10. My wife had the Drunken noodles, and my parents had the number 34. I think my wife felt the noodles were a little too thick and sticky. But the taste was good. Cost: pretty reasonable. Around $15-16 per entree. Portion was decent. Thai Nine's portion was slightly bigger. Would be good to return and try other dishes. Service was good and attentive. I thought it was really good overall. Hence the 5 stars. read more

My first visit here, and it was a very nice experience. The dining area is attractive and seats is comfortable. A friend and I ordered from the lunch special menu, and I was pleasantly surprised with the quantity of the food, it was like a regular dinner-size serving. I ordered Drunken Noodles with tofu, and it was excellent. It was served with a spring roll. Cup of soup, and small salad. Service was very efficient and friendly. It's not often in Indiana you stumble upon some traditional ethnic cuisine. In Zionsville, Thai Eatery stuck out as not just being traditional Thai, but providing spectacular flavors and service. The man that took our order was extremely patient and kind. Upon arriving (we ordered pick-up), our food was ready, and they immediately got us in and out the door. The food was amazing. Grabbed lunch and really enjoyed it. The server was nice and service overall very fast. The lunch menu says " lunch special 13.99 comes with small soup, salad and spring roll". It seemed like a deal to me. You can choose any of the entrees pad thai, fried rice, drunk noodles, curries. Maybe 15 or so choices- plenty! The lemongrass soup was mostly a broth but such a rich flavor the salad is like what you get at a hibachi grill - super similar. I have highly anticipated the opening of this new Thai restaurant in Zionsville. Thai Eatery serves Thai street food, but the menu looks fairly similar to other Thai restaurants in the area. The dining room is upscale and lovely with high ceilings and quartzite tables. A giant mural of a street scene in Thailand, by an artist named Meng, covers one wall. The mural helps create a feeling of being in Thailand. Seating is comfortable. The bar is inviting, but they haven't received their liquor license yet. Lunch comes with a bowl of Thai soup and a small salad with a delicious creamy Thai dressing. I ordered the Vegetable Deluxe with tofu and a medium spice level. The vegetables (combination of cabbage, broccoli, carrots and mushrooms) were hot and fresh in a sweet Thai sauce. The egg roll was really hot but delicious with a light crunchy wrapper. My meal was tasty and filling. My husband had the Pad Thai with chicken. The chicken was moist and flavorful. He loved his Pad Thai. Our server was engaging, friendly and attentive. She was a 5-star. We ate here for the first time, and it was AMAZING...by far the best we've had in Indy. We ordered crab Rangoon, num tok, pad Thai and pad see ew. First, the crab Rangoon was definitely prepared by hand. It was unique in that it had more onion presence than other crab Rangoon dishes we've had elsewhere. The num tok had a nice balance of beef that was perfectly prepared with the vegetables. The two noodle dishes had healthy portions, were served steaming hot, and were made of high quality ingredients. We ordered everything at a spicy level 4 which was hot, but didn't elicit tears. The restaurant itself has a modern vibe with friendly staff. Every dish was served steaming hot with nice presentation. We've been here at least 4 times with consistently great food and friendly service. The menu is large but not overwhelming. So far we've tried: 1- the fried tofu app which was nice 2- shrimps in a blanket which was yummy 3- various curries 4- Thai noodle soup with vegetables and shrimp 5- orange chicken... this was way more delicious than I thought it would've been; my frame of reference has been poor from other experiences. The prices are quite affordable. They also run lunch specials which come with soup and a side salad. 5/5 would recommend 5/5 will be eating here again The one downside is they do not serve any dessert, (yet), but given the portion sizes my midriff is thankful. Oh and they do have a limited kids menu for the picker eaters, though mine has gone to town on their shrimp Thai noodle soup. Wish I took pictures read more
