    General Tsao's chicken
    Chad C.

Visited here for the bahn-mi and decided to also add some General Tsao's chicken with rice. Took it to-go, but the inside was clean, open and inviting. For a Friday, they seemed a bit understaffed, but I still received my food quickly. Was pleasantly surprised with the portion size, as well as the addition of a fried egg on top of the rice. The full sized bahn mi was plenty of food, and the general Tsao's chicken was more than I could finish. I really enjoyed the extra mile with the fried egg and even some pickled vegetables added to the rice. For two meals, it came out to $26 which seemed like a steal. Definitely would go back here and try some.of the other options!

Over and over again I will shout how good Phoba is! Quality every single time! The food is fresh and hot. The flavors are amazing! If I've said it once I'll say it again, best pho in Nebraska, and possibly the best I've had in the US. Would recommend highly! Milk teas are great too. I've tried four different ones, I return to the oolong classic milk as it is my favorite! The boba pearls are always perfect! There is a good amount of seating, I personally do not like to sit facing a wall and they have been able to accommodate me every time.

    37. Chicken Pad Thai - Bland and Boring

Do not come for the Pad Thai. They do not use the typical small pad Thai noodles, and it was extremely bland and tasteless. I understand this is primarily a Pho place but the Thai place I usually order from is closed on Sundays so I ordered this instead and was extremely disappointed. I did also get a Taro Milk Tea which I thought was really good and it's saving grace of my order! From other reviews it seems the Pho might be good, and the milk tea is good. So just skip the pad Thai!

Thai basil, HUGE juicy limes, and the best bean sprouts I've ever had.

Firstly, I'd like to start by saying I've gone to my local pho restaurant for years (A certain one in Bellevue ), and Phoba had me rethink "what is good pho?". Phoba, hands down, has a tastier broth (which tastes like NO shortcuts were made in the process of making the bone broth), wonderfully fresh and juicy ‍ limes (not tiny, dry wedges that look like they've been sitting out for a day) a generous serving of unwilted basil, and crisp bean sprouts that didn't have that odd tannin taste that I usually notice everywhere else. I loved that the combination pho came with beef tripe already (something I usually have to pay extra for) and lovely cilantro that you can actually taste. Who ever supplies their produce, it's a crucial component to what makes Phoba pho #1 in Omaha! Thank you, Jessie for making my first time here an amazing experience! I was so engulfed in the pho, I forgot to take a "pho"to. Oops!

    35. Chicken Pad Thai

My husband and I ate here a few months back and food was great. No issues! I tried the chicken pad Thai tonight however and this may have been one of the worst things I've ever eaten. Every piece of chicken was the consistency of fat. On the few noodles that had sauce, the sauce was this strange, flavorless pink sauce that tasted as if you watered down sweet and sour sauce A LOT. I am not a picky eater at all and I could only bring myself to take two very small bites of this before having to throw the rest away. Extremely disappointing as I spent $17 on a meal that went directly to the trash.

Great place for a casual date night or even just to be with friends/family. The pho was decent, but they also have other dishes and boba to enjoy! The staff was also attentive. Their post-it wall was a good addition!

Food was good and generally good value. Service was lackluster and the server never did the typical check up after the food was dropped off. Food came in at a reasonable time after we orders but we were the only ones here on a Tuesday night. (They had two take out orders during our time there.) My daughter got the pho and the flavor was good but super weird there were florets of broccoli in there. I got the pork chop platter and it came out beautifully- they give you more pork chop than other restaurants that have this same dish. My other daughter got the sesame chicken and she enjoyed it, the garlic flavor was really pronounced. It came with a fried egg (not pictured because other daughter ate it by the time I took the photo) which is super interesting. Overall, good food, some odd additions to traditional dishes, and so so service. They have room to grow and we would try it again!

The worst pho place I personally have ever been. I got the bowl with the rib in it because it sounded good, yet the flavor was flat. The broth was flat and not enough of hoisin or sriracha fixed it. The spring rolls we had ordered were 80% lettuce and also flat and boring with very little recourse even doused in peanut sauce. We will not be going back for their pho. This was rather disappointing.

Only one size for pho and it's a large portion, wish they had different sizes available. I got the combination pho and there was a lot of meat! Broth tasted very clean. I wish the broth with more fragrant with all the spices that pho entails. The restaurant was very clean and the staff were very nice.

Takeout Pho portion was so small and lacked flavor - literally came with 7 pieces of the tiniest pieces of tough brisket (size of thumb). Along with the flavor not being where it should be, the chicken vermicelli came with excessively thick cut vegetables and the driest, blandest chicken. Like 5-day old Costco chicken breast dry. The overarching theme is that this did not taste like Vietnamese food.

Their pho is absolutely top notch rich, flavorful broth, tender noodles, and fresh herbs that bring everything together perfectly. You can tell they put a lot of care into making it authentic and delicious. The egg rolls are another standout. They're always hot, crispy, and packed with flavor. Easily some of the best I've had anywhere! Beyond the food, the customer service is excellent. The staff is always welcoming, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. They really make you feel at home. And a big plus the inside is always clean and well kept. It's a comfortable space to sit down and enjoy your meal, whether you're dining in or grabbing takeout. Highly recommend this spot if you're craving great Vietnamese food with a warm, inviting atmosphere. You won't be disappointed!

We're visiting Omaha, NE for the weekend and was looking for a good pho place. We decided to give…read morethis spot a try since it wasn't too far of a drive from the hotel we were staying at. We did read through quite a bit of reviews and we figured that since a lot of reviews were older, perhaps there are some improvements so we gave it a try! I do have some thoughts and wanted to share a current review on our experience today. Pro to Food: We ordered 2 bowls of their beef Combination Pho. We absolutely LOVED how flavorful the broth was. We didn't have to add any additional sauce to the broth to enhance the flavor because the broth was already super tasty. Like many other reviews, the broth is a little bit more oily than we're used to seeing BUT we cannot deny how great the flavor was so that's a huge bonus which is why we didn't mind the "oily" broth! It wasn't too terrible. Just a little more oily than what we've seen at other pho places but it's probably the liquid gold! Cons: - lack of meat in both phos. Our bowls of pho had very little amount of meat so that was a disappointment. I didn't count how many slices of meat/meatballs but it was a lot less than we're used to. Several other reviewers said that same thing about this issue, but we were hoping that since it's been several years since those reviews were posted, perhaps things have changed but sadly, it's still the same. - pho sizes: they only have one size. It would've been nice to have different sizes in case someone had a bigger appetite. - ambiance/cleanliness: The entire place needs remodeling (walls, floors, paint). They need to remove all the chairs and tables, sweep and mop everything thoroughly, and then put everything back. It looks like a place that just opened and is still needing a lot of work. - TV: They had a TV that was playing a video shooting game (like Roblox). I have a feeling that this was more so as entertainment for the owner's little ones but as a customer, I thought it was inappropriate in a restaurant setting to have something like that playing in this restaurant space. I'm a mother as well so having my little one there while trying to enjoy my meal and trying to keep my child from not watching something like that was a juggle that I didn't appreciate. We did see the "Shortage in staff" sign at the front of the restaurant (by the entrance) so we are sadden to see that due to shortage in staff, they're not able to get things where they would like it to be. Hoping that in a few years, we'll see some improvements if we're ever in the area again! Overall, would I recommend this place? I'll say, maaaaaaaaaybe (only for the broth). There are a lot of things that can be improved to make the place more inviting & the experience better. We have a favorite pho place where we live so that is the standard that we look for when we're trying other places but we always like to keep an open mind and try new places especially when we're traveling. The pho broth here is phenomenal so hats off to the chef!

I probably had half the broth and most of the veggies and noodles in my dinner portion, so I'm sitting here feeling like a roly poly, but it was worth it. My husband got the combo pho and all the veggies and noodles looked so fresh and good! I'm excited to go back. This is a no fuss, straight to business good food restaurant. If you're looking for authentic pho, this is a good choice. I didn't get a picture of the beef soup because I ate it too fast, but it was also lovely.

Heads up, soft drinks come in a can so no free refills here, but water is available, thankfully. I treated myself to a strawberry lemonade with popping dragon fruit boba, and let me tell you, it was fantastic. Definitely getting that again. We started with crab rangoon. Service was a bit slow, even though it was not too busy, but the rangoons were worth every second. For the main event, we each grabbed a large bowl of pho. One special, one steak-only (mine), and one chicken. I love that all the sauces, utensils, and extras are right on the table. The broth is what makes pho, and theirs did not disappoint. The noodles took a little work, but everything came together perfectly. And the plate of sprouts, cilantro, lime, and jalapeño lets you doctor your soup just the way you like it. Lunch came to about $37 after tip (I covered the rangoons), which is a little steep, but considering I got a craft lemonade, a pop, a large soup, and plenty of leftovers, I think it was worth it. Honestly, the quality and quantity more than justify the price. I'm even starting to welcome colder weather just so I can enjoy this soup more often! I will absolutely be back.
