Takeout Pho portion was so small and lacked flavor - literally came with 7 pieces of the tiniest pieces of tough brisket (size of thumb). Along with the flavor not being where it should be, the chicken vermicelli came with excessively thick cut vegetables and the driest, blandest chicken. Like 5-day old Costco chicken breast dry. A Hidden Gem in LaVista! I can't say enough good things about this Vietnam restaurant in LaVista! Every time I visit, I leave completely satisfied. Their pho is absolutely top notch rich, flavorful broth, tender noodles, and fresh herbs that bring everything together perfectly. You can tell they put a lot of care into making it authentic and delicious. The egg rolls are another standout. They're always hot, crispy, and packed with flavor. Easily some of the best I've had anywhere! Beyond the food, the customer service is excellent. The staff is always welcoming, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. They really make you feel at home. And a big plus the inside is always clean and well kept. It's a comfortable space to sit down and enjoy your meal, whether you're dining in or grabbing takeout. I visited The Vietnamese Restaurant yesterday in La Vista and had another wonderful food experience. The place is owned and run by the family and the gentlemen that served we was very friendly, helpful and oh so very kind. It was clean and very nicely decorated with various decorative artifacts, flowers and plants. I was nice comfortable family run business that does very well with making you feel at home. I ordered the Rare beef & meatball Pho - the broth was extremely tasty, full of flavor and very aromatic. They packaged everything very well for my to-go order. The side fixin's (vegetables, spices, sauces) were all packaged separately and prepared very nice and everything was very fresh. They also give you a togo bowl big enough for everything to be mix together with the broth. I also ordered the pork spring rolls and chicken spring rolls and they were very good too. Fresh vegetables, EXCELLENT size portion. The contents were very generous, great mixture and tasted great! I know I know I ordered a lot for just me, but I feel like it was a rather healthy meal so I could indulge a little more. i can't believe it took me this long to try pho but i'm so glad my first taste was here! despite not having anywhere to compare it to, this was really delicious! also tried a sample platter of appetizers with dumplings, spring rolls, and egg rolls. they were all yum i especially loved the fried dumplings! prices were great and we had fast and friendly service from our waiter! the boba was calling my name and i am definitely planning on trying that next time read more

My sister and I come here every so often to get chicken pho. This is a great, casual place, very welcoming and friendly. I like that this place is small; it feels nice and cozy. The service is always very fast and the food is always great. This was the first and only place I've ever had pho, and I can't imagine going anywhere else now. They have boba tea drinks here, though I've never ordered it myself. I have been given it by the man who works here though - and I'm afraid I don't know his name! I really should ask him one of these days. It was kind of him to give us those drinks, and they tasted really good. Having never had Vietnamese food, we thought we'd try it. i pointed to a picture on the menu and asked the waiter what it was. he didn't know. I pointed to the picture above it. Again, he didn't know. I ordered a sandwich (bahn mi). I got something that looked like a salad. i sent it back and got the correct item but it didnt Look like the picture and didn't have an egg on top. Both me and the waiter spoke English. Stopped in here on a last minute restaurant audible (think Peyton Manning yelling "OMAHA OMAHA!"), and it was an absolute touchdown! Yes, I'm going with the football theme for this review. Our server was a great coach, drawing up all the best plays for the night. She gave us great recommendations that led to a winning combination. We tried the rare and brisket pho, shrimp and pork clay pot, pork bahn mi and for the extra point...egg rolls! Hubby and I ordered takeout from here on a Friday night in the midst of a global pandemic quarantine. We ordered two large Pho, one veggie and one traditional, shrimp spring rolls and vietnamese egg rolls. The Pho were delivered with the soup in one container and the noodles+toppings in a separate box. This allowed us to construct the meals on our bowls at home, and prevented the ingredients from getting all soggy. I appreciated that. So, the large Pho is massive! I would definitely have been ok with a small, but a huge bowl of noodles, veggies and broth was perfect comfort food for an uncertain time. Vegetarian pho is hard to find, so to not only find this but for it to also be so delicious makes my heart happy. The shrimp spring rolls and vietnamese egg rolls were yummy as well. The egg rolls were nice and crispy, and survived the trip home really well. I will definitely order takeout from here again, and once it is safe to leave our houses, I will dine in as well. Soon! Good Vietnamese food is limited in Omaha, but I'm so glad that I found this hole in the wall place. The pho is excellent and comparable to some of the best Vietnamese restaurants I've had in the past. I highly recommend their house chili sauce. It is so spicy and delicious with the pho. Our visit started as most of my brunch visits do to various restaurants, with me ordering iced coffee. A teen brought it to me promptly. The glass was completely full of ice. However, the glass was only 2/3 full of coffee with 1/3 of the ice above it. I assumed that the teen had prepared it, and decided to ask for the cup to be filled to the top of the ice when the waiter came back. After all, it was $3.95. The waiter who also seemed to be the person in charge told me that he would not give me any more because that was how big the serving was. He went on to say that the glass was too big and that he could add water, but I probably wouldn't like the taste. Then he said that Vietnamese coffee was stronger than regular coffee. Really??? Service was very friendly & attentive. Prices are definitely reasonable. Today was my first time trying shrimp rolls period & I have to say I'm pretty impressed with the taste. The peanut sauce really enhances the flavor, and the shrimp tastes nice & fresh. My grilled pork was great as well; very flavorful & tender.
