As I can tell from other other reviews there is a problem with sloppy work from your stylist. I don't need a haircut at your salon so keep your availability. Got the worst haircut today that lasted only 5 minutes. My stylist Mayra was not accommodating, was sneezing everywhere, was very sloppy in her cut. I have been going to Pure Salon for a few years now. When my previous hairstylist had to leave the business, I returned to Pure Salon. I love Aveda products. It works well for my hair, is natural, and the company does not perform animal testing. During my latest visit, Kinsey did the Keratin treatment on my hair. My hair, my hair...it is naturally curly, or I sometimes say, is naturally crazy. With the least bit of humidity in the air, I resemble Ronald McDonald. A lion. Gene Simmons...Get my drift?! I can't seem to tame the frizz and tight curls. We always want what we can't have, right? I have tried the Brazilian Blowout in the past. "Straight" doesn't even come close to a synonym. Bone straight. Talk about a learning curve, going from so curly to so flat. I was in shock and hated it. The Keratin treatment tames my frizz without pulling out all of the curl. If I want a new look, a flat iron slides through quickly. If I want a more natural look, wash and go, not having to worry about looking like a stuck my finger in an electrical socket. Kinsey is super sweet and personable. She is knowledgable, but when she doesn't know the answer, she doesn't hesitate to ask another stylist. I appreciate that. They have a large selection of Aveda products, from hair care to make up to candles. My hubby really likes the men's hair gel. The reason I didn't give five stars? They really need to update the hair wash stations. They use chairs that recline slightly. At other salons, they have recliner-type chairs, which decreases the stress on your neck. I have neck and back problems, so it is hard to relax during the hair wash when my neck is screaming at me. read more

I'm writing this review after 2 months because i forgot to post it at a time. The purpose is not to get any money back or anything but just headsup. My stylist was Miara, she was doing a good job was talkative and all but she was trying to sell all the services and without my permission started doing detoxing treatment yes she introduced me with that but i never agreed upon that. And while shampooing she started saying that this shampoo is what they use for detoxing and I didn't know what to say so i specified that i could only do one extra thing with highlights either haircut or detoxing and because haircut was 75$ and detoxing was 50$ she said I haven't used the product yet so I recommend you get hair cut. That seem very fishy to me. And at the end with partial highlights and i have thin hair i was done in 2 hours i was charged $275 something because i was charged for toner and highlights different. I didn't understand why i was charged that much and I didn't wanted to say anything after service was done but i would not go back or i would first ask all detailed charges and than get the service. read more

Really bad experience! It was my first time getting highlights in my hair! I asked the stylist for partial highlights! She never showed me the options of colour! If I wanted it darker or lighter! Added blonde highlights to my black hair which looked very bad! Also din space out the highlights evenly just added them to the front of my face! Purely bad experience! I called the business next day and told them it was so bad! They never cared to provide me a refund for the bad service! They asked me to come in to fix it but how would I trust a place that already ruined my hair? Please don't trust your stylist don't let them do anything to your hair! read more

Lovely is the best. I went in about 8 months ago for a balayage and didn't want too much lightness because I did not want to use bleach because of a. As experience in the past. She reassured me and ended up getting a little blonde in the tips. Second time I went in about 5 days ago I wanted something more dramatic and she delivered. What I like the most about Lovely is that she is upfront about what she can and can't do and sets the expectation. My hair is thin but Lovely was able to give it dimension it looks amazing. I'm a dude and I go to Pure Salon and I am not afraid to admit it. I am not a girly guy but I just got tired of asking to do something different with my hair just to get the same cut I have gotten for 10 years. So I tried a few upscale places like Pure but I never felt comfortable with my hair or the surroundings. Pure is different. I always see Lindsey and she is awesome and always surpasses my expectations. If I tell her to do what she wants or if I want something specific, she always delivers. Everyone here is very personable and professional but its not snobby or stuffy, which is a fine line. I have gotten my hair colored and Lindsey wanted to make sure I wouldn't just get it cut off in a few weeks after I pay for a color service. So they just aren't concerned about their bottom line, they take pride in their work and want to make sure you're happy. The hours are nice and I can usually go at lunch or after work and be out quickly if needed. My suggestion is to take your time, have a drink there and talk to the stylist there. They are super nice and put up with me when I am obnoxious (that's a lot). Prices are good, the Salon is always clean and neat, and the staff is the best part. read more

Ok, it's been two months since my wedding and my hair has gone from "good length for an updo" to a ridiculous "are you going for the world record?" mess. I debated making the trek down to the Oaklawn Michael Raymond to see my old stylist (before the days of perfunctory 1/2" Great Clips trims), but it's such a long haul, and I just can't justify it anymore. My girl is good, but not THAT good. Kelly B, Amisha S, and Caroline K - thanks for helping tip the scales in favor of Pure Salon! I finally decided around lunch time today (Friday) that enough was enough, and I was going to have a haircut, no matter how early I had to leave work. I called Pure, fully expecting to not be able to get in, but low and behold, Kellye (no, that's the correct spelling) had availability for the late afternoon! Sweet. Kellye was super friendly. All I told her is that I wanted a minimum of 3" cut off, but nothing shorter than just above my shoulders (prob. about 8" or so - yeah, my hair was absurdly long) without too many layers. Usually, I'd expect the stylist to go straight for the shortest length option and as many layers as they can... not Kellye! She suggested cutting about 5" off to keep some of the nice length, but add a few layers for movement and depth - brilliant. I'm so happy with it. At first, I was a little bummed it wasn't more of a drastic difference, but I'm definitely glad it turned out how it did. Add in that she's way cheaper than my old stylist, and I do believe I will be back! read more

I visited Pure Salon on June 9, 2020. This was my 4th time to this salon and I always have wonderful service! Lovely is the name of my hair stylist and she is amazing! She is always happy, on time and does a fantastic job with my hair. I moved to Dallas from California and tried a few salons before Pure Salon (I didn't like any of them enough to go back) but once I found Pure Salon I did not look any further! The products they smell so good and my hair always comes out looking great! I liked that they're definitely take COVID serious and everyone in the salon is wearing masks, temperatures were taken and hands were washed. Great salon, Aveda products though not all stylists are Aveda trained. I found it based on Yelp reviews and booked my appointment through Yelp (yay!) and was able to get in within a week. Lovely (my stylist) did a great job listening to me and we agreed to do an all-overall color to get rid of my outgrown blonde highlights. She gave me a quick trim as well. The salon has a nice view of green space and they offered me tea, water, or wine and had a good selection of magazines - including local ones! They're open late on certain weeknights and until 6 pm on Saturdays. Overall, an easy and positive salon experience and my hair looks great! read more

This is a nice and very clean salon with a good selection of stylists. They also have a lot of Aveda products in their front shop. I think where this salon could do a lot better. Is their shampoo area and experience. The lights are so bright they hurt and it's nearly impossible to relax I've been a number of times to the salon with a couple of different stylists, and there's not much of a hair massage -- It's pretty clinical -- rinse, shampoo, condition, get up. But the products are great and the price is reasonable and the people are friendly so it's worth a try... just don't expect a dreamy, relaxing hair salon experience. read more

Move from out of state to Irving and researched several salons before giving this one a try. Wish I had just gone somewhere else. Never had such a terrible hair cut or highlights done in my life and I've been getting it done for 30+yrs. Instead of getting blonde golden highlights I got some white ashy color. Never asked for a toner as I don't need it and was given to me without asking if ok. Also it's a 40.00+add on which was nice. My hair is thick and on the dry side and hair stylist used thinning shears to cut the bulk out and it made a frizzy mess. I was so hoping to like this place to get a place established, but back to the drawing board. read more
