They came and checked the meter box and another said that they had to change two switches. I told them that I wanted a exust fan in my bathroom but they never botter instead the changed the fanny in the other bathroom and when I asked them why, they said that I asked. They changed three switches thy said that needed to be changed. I just received a bill for $2.390.00. My only income is SSI I they new. I don't recommend them to anyone. read more

Thanks to Snyder/Direct Air, I have been without any AC for the past 1.5 years! As a result, I have incurred thousands of dollars worth of damage due to mold and high electric bills because only the fan runs. I have also suffered respiratory issues and a collapsed lung because of Direct Air. My air handler and compressor were installed 9 years ago by Pedro. Over 1.5 years ago, Israel came to my condo for repair. He told me that the unit was not installed correctly by Pedro and that Pedro had been fired for incompetence. Israel said that Direct Air does not install any unit in Florida that is meant to last for more than 2 years. He said that even a small condo like mine should have a new air handler and compressor every 2 years at a price of $20,000. That is ridiculous! He claimed that Direct Air no longer repairs or services- only sells, as others have mentioned. After Israel left, my AC was worse. In fact, the temperature in my condo would not go below 78 degrees. I asked Direct Air for another "technician" to visit. Rolando told me the same story and said to call the office and complain about Israel. Rolando also told me that Israel had probably sabotaged my AC so that it would not cool. He said that management instructs the "technicians" to make sure that a unit is worse when they leave if the homeowner does not agree to the repair price. That way, Direct Air can charge even more for service. Finally, a third "technician" came to try to correct the incompetence and misinformation of Israel and Rolando. He told me that both had been fired for incompetence, misrepresentation, and dishonesty. 'The third technician, Ruben, was supposed to waive the visit fee, as stated by the office, because of the long wait without AC, the botched visits, and all the mold damage and health issues caused by Direct Air. However, Ruben stated that the office was "stupid" and did not know what they were saying. He said that Freon could be put in, but that he did not know how to do that, and he would have to charge $5000 just for a tiny compressor fill. He claimed that Direct Air had good reviews. But - they get their reviews with threats. Ruben waited until I wrote the review, and refused to leave until I read the review to him and he approved it. He was abusive and I finally had to call our security guard for him to leave. Meanwhile, Direct Air has still not fulfilled its promise of sending a qualified technician- not salesperson - to repair a unit that they installed. They have made no offer to reimburse the damages they caused or the health issues and injuries they caused. Update: Yesterday, Raul came to assess the unit and damage caused by Israel, Rolando, and Ruben. Raul appeared to be the first actual technician sent by Direct Air in the past 1 1/2 years. He also spoke English and appeared to be knowledgeable. However, when he offered me an estimate on the work of replacing a part and adding Freon, Jose, the manager refused to discount the price as he had promised in return for going 1 1/2 years without AC, botched and no-show visits, poor installation, mold, and respiratory issues caused by Direct Air. The visit fee that was to be waived for Ruben's visit was also to be credited. After Raul left, the temperature in my condo has now risen and stayed at 83 degrees. I am not sure if this was intentional on his part due to the management policy of leaving a home and AC in worse condition. I contacted my veterinarian to board my cat due to the heat. They are a large veterinary hospital also in the Three Lakes area. They were appalled that an AC company might have intentionally caused cruelty to pets. I had used Palm Air for many years. My husband used to take care of it for our AC. We had a plumber and an electrician for everything other than AC. My husband passed away, so I've been dealing with I thought Palm Air, but I noticed recently that they're Snyder. I got a Bill recently for $289 for electrical and plumbing, which I thought was AC related. Then a few days later someone called saying he wanted to make an appointment for each, plumbing, and another for an electrician. I still thought it was related to the AC!!! The young man came yesterday ,,,so when I came out of the garage I asked him if he will stay in the garage. He said no, he has to come into the house. So, he goes into one of my bathroom, turns the shutoff valve and says oh it's leaking. I said that it hasn't been turned off in a long time and if you didn't turn it off it wouldn't have broken! It went on with a total of he told me 3 shutoff valves. I was upset and called the office, and got an AI ....I could go on and on,,eventually he replace 3 shut off valves, and gave me a bill of $795.. The copy of the bill I got today was for 2 not 3!! I was very upset and annoyed, but just wanted him out since I was all alone!!, That happened late Friday. I'm calling their office, cancelling all contracts, and see what else I can legally do! Originally, I hired Palm Aire Air Conditioning (now Snyder) for my AC maintenance years ago. Never had any issues until the recent change to Snyder Air Conditioning. Snyder replaced a 4T splt system (AHU & Condenser) for me in July of 2024 and just 'performed' the semi annual maintenance on July 24, 2025. Last night I was awoken by my daughter whose closet is flooded. I found the condensate for the 2 units that were just serviced, completely clogged and my daughter's room flooded because the technician left the float switch in the vertical position (see picture). In addition the technician asked me today if I wanted to add a UV light? The same UV Light the the Salesman told me was included in 2024 never installed (I did look at my contract, which didn't mention UV Light, shame on me). I will not be renewing my maintenance agreement with Snyder. EDIT: Service reached out to me to install the UV Light that was never installed and paid for in 2024, AND NEVER SHOWED UP FOR THE APPOINTMENT OR CALLED BACK. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I am convinced at this point that Snyder Air Conditioning is running a scam. A tech came out Saturday, told me I needed a new vent, took my deposit, and scheduled me for Monday. No time window given just "Monday." Monday comes and goes. Nobody shows up. No call, no text, nothing. I call THEM, and they "apologize for the inconvenience" and reschedule me for Tuesday, 8-9 AM. Want to guess what happened Tuesday? NOBODY SHOWED UP. AGAIN. Then they have the audacity to tell me someone can come out Wednesday. At this point I'm three days without a fix in FLORIDA. But sure, let me just keep rearranging my entire schedule for a company that clearly has no intention of actually doing the work. So I call to get my deposit back, and what do I get? An AI bot. Not a person. Not a manager. A robot. They instructed me to text them so I did. Still nothing. I cannot get a single human being to respond to me about returning my money through ANY channel they've given me. They took my deposit, no-showed TWICE, hid behind an AI bot, told me to text, and then ghosted me there too. If that's not a scam, I don't know what is. This is Florida I can find a hundred companies to fix my AC. I don't need one that takes my money and then makes it impossible to get it back. Save yourself the headache and the money. These guys are absolute criminals. I can understand a service fee for a visit. But I was quoted $710 to replace a condenser fan motor that costs about $200 and literally took 30 minutes to replace. The technician would not give me a breakdown of parts are labor. So I looked up the motor myself. It averaged about $200 across 6 different sources. That means they are charging $500 /per hour for labor. My advice to anyone needing A/C work, don't go with the these guys or most of the larger wrapped vehicle companies. To fact-check my complaint I talked with another company who wanted only $450 for parts and labor. Now that was a reasonable price for the work. I had Snyder come out to fix my 2012 Rehm air conditioner. The tech insisted I needed a new system . He recommended Goodman. Long story short, I ended up spending $10,000 on 4 ton unit. The install a Daiken exactly we're my old one was​. I believe in ended up with a defective thermostat. It's registering the wrong temperature making it difficult to program the weekly schedule. We called them out and they "calibrated" it. That didn't fix it. Next tech confirmed it was a problem and escalated for replacement. Then the day of replacement, service manager canceled the appointment stating it's working fine. I even placed another thermostat next to the new one showing the 6 -10 degree discrepancy. I should have done my homework! I don't recommend Snyder, nor Daiken. How could a brand new unit (3 weeks old) have problems?! read more

Agree with Jesse. Phoenix Air, prior to being purchased, was awesome. I've used them for years. I've referred that company to several of my friends and colleagues. Now, I'd stay clear. If you do decide to have them come out and give a quote, get a second before moving forward. I've owned businesses for over 30 years. My issue is trust. They'll take advantage of customers.
