The staff were all helpful and friendly. There was someone playing live music at certain times of the day. The room was clean and had a simple but nice setup. The shower had great water temperature and pressure. We had an ocean view room which was worth the extra cost. Waking up to the beach every morning was so satisfying. Reading on the balcony while listening to the ocean sounds and watching the waves was everything that I needed. The hotel has beach towels that are easily checked out through a machine. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available first come first serve to hotel guests which is very convenient. There was a heated outdoor pool, a volleyball net and a few games inside. We ate all of our meals at the hotel. We ate at the grab and go food spot. I ordered the feta and spinach croissant, a chocolate chip scone and a cappuccino. We also ate dinner at the latitude 30. I ordered a ceasar salad and calamari. For breakfast at latitude 30, I ordered the French toast dish that comes bacon and I ordered a side of eggs. We also ate at the fine dining restaurant onsite where I ordered the seared scallops dish and the vanilla crème brûlée. All of the meals that we ate at the hotel were very tasty. The restaurant staff were all kind and the utensils were spotless. I believe food may have also been served at the bar near the pool, but I didn't try any food from there during my visit. I really had an enjoyable time at this hotel and I plan to return in the future.

Live music every day by the pool was awesome! And talented performers! The beach itself is right behind the resort and has the softest sand. Wanted was rough but we were still able to get in a slash around and jump some waves. The property was recently purchased by new owners after being owned by sand owner who opened it in 1987, which is impressive. Mervin in the restaurant was kind and friendly and been there 12 years. Glinda in the restaurant was the SWEETEST lady there. She maker the omelettes. (Get the omelettes!! Yum!) John and Greg are great pool side bar tenders. The gentleman at the lobby bar was also friendly and attentive, we didn't catch his name. The list of things we wished were different is short. Could have used speakers playing music during the times at the pool when there wasn't live music. Wait times in the restaurant were long. (Food was hit or miss...not horrible but mostly unremarkable... However the spinach dip at the casual restaurant is off the charts and the wagyu steak at Voyagers is incredible!!) We cannot say enough about the marvelous staff. We will definitely be back! We wish them luck in this transition.

We wanted to arrive a couple of days before checking into our condo, so we booked a two-night stay here, and we're glad we did. The hotel is on the smaller side, but that's actually part of its charm. It's centrally located in Orange Beach, making it easy to get to restaurants, attractions, and shopping. The beach access is unbeatable, and the views from the dining area are absolutely beautiful. There is a pool, but it's fairly small. Since the entire property is smaller than many beachfront resorts, you won't have a ton of privacy around the pool. On the plus side, it never felt overcrowded, which made for a relaxing stay. One thing I definitely recommend is eating breakfast here. It was excellent and a great way to start the day. They also serve pizza in the evenings. It's a thick, almost Chicago-style pizza, so just know what you're ordering. The flavor was fantastic, and one pizza was easily enough to feed our family. Our room was a huge hit with the kids. It included bunk beds, which they were so excited about, along with an Xbox, a desk, and a large flat-screen TV. It really felt like the hotel had families in mind. The lobby gift shop was also surprisingly well stocked with snacks, drinks, toiletries, and even common medicines you might need during your stay. Overall, this is a fantastic place to stay if you're looking for an extra night or two in Orange Beach before or after your main vacation. I'd gladly stay here again. My only suggestion for the hotel: since you're serving that delicious, hearty pizza, it might be worth stocking a few antacids or Tums in the gift shop too! 10/10--highly recommended!

WARNING NO COFFEE... is this a thing now ??? I'm older than…read moredirt and have never been arrested, yet was approached by a security guard this morning as I took a sip of black coffee I got from a coffee pot in the hotel lobby. (I had called earlier commenting about no coffee in the room and was told there was a coffee bar in the lobby... never any mention of a charge) Mortified, walletless, not knowing what to do, I dumped my coffee in the waste basket and went back to our room. We are staying here for a week so I called to ask how much the coffee was and was told $3.75 a cup. Now our idea of entertainment since my husband can't move around very well is sitting on the deck by the ocean and drinking coffee.... So it's kind of a big deal to us, as it probably is with other seniors and mobility challenged individuals, so thought I'd share. Aside from that the room is nice and the view great, which probably keeps people coming. Also, the pizza we had at the Hotel bar was not very good. So overall nice stay if you pack your Keurig and dine somewhere else.

Most concerning was the presence of a live roach in our room--clearly visible and captured in a photo. While it stayed still long enough for the picture, the fact that it was moving around beforehand was unsettling. Service was mixed. Upon arrival, the staff was reasonably courteous, but checkout was impersonal--when I handed in the keys, the front desk agent didn't speak, only giving a slight head shake when I asked if anything else was needed. As an IHG Platinum member, I was surprised to learn that the latest checkout time allowed was 12 PM, rather than the usual 2 PM. On the positive side, the bed was comfortable, and the water pressure was good with very hot water available. However, the pillows lacked support, the TV was small and didn't function properly, and the Wi-Fi was so slow it was nearly unusable. Breakfast was average; I was disappointed not to see the egg white omelets typically offered at other IHG locations. We also ran out of lotion during our stay, which has never happened to me at a hotel before. Overall, despite some redeeming qualities, I would not choose to stay at this property again.

Having a full kitchen with a real refrigerator is one of the benefits of staying in a Staybridge Suites. We liked the room (in comparison to the previous hotel room) since it had so many outlets to charge our computers and devices. There was also a nightlight in the bathroom, so we didn't need to brighten the whole room during our nightly visits. This bed was way more comfortable than the other hotel, and the room was truly dark. With no alarm set, we had no idea of the actual time that we woke. And we couldn't hear a thing from the other rooms. We are at the start of a week across the South. This hotel is certainly on our "come back" list! Friendly staff, clean room, nice bedroom, a full kitchen and a good price. Very hard to beat.

The room was affordable. plenty spacious, and comfortable for our family. I liked how they provided two robes for the adults so we could be all fancy. All staff and most area were pet friendly. No pets in the pool areas. They have a little pet greeting area with snacks and tennis balls. There is a potty area in the bag stocked with pop bags. The bathroom was amazing, BUT not 1 hook on the walls. What I do not like about the hotel is for a simple reason (or 2). The room we were in had a dorm style, tiny refrigerator that didn't even have a frozen section. For being a pet friendly hotel, some people feed their pets refrigerated foods and I suspect that some may be needed to be kept frozen during a longer trip. The frig was so tiny and cheap looking that it must have been at the cut off for where they chose to spend money on the IHG, a famous brand of hotels. I had freezer cubes that needed to be refrozen over night and then over the road they would stay cold in a cooler. I couldn't use their dinky refrigerator to refreeze my blue cubes. Of course there is no breakfast, nor the possibility of some coffee as a courtesy from the hotel in the morning as they tell clients to go elsewhere to eat and drink coffee. I can stay at an equally nice hotel AND at the very least, have a cup of coffee in the morning (or even a little food) at no cost. I do not like the room coffee machine as it isn't the same quality. Funny how they may have a sign that says something like, if you forgot something, let us know. Well, I forgot tea and coffee.... Or how about this? What if before you book a hotel, your determining factor for staying is based on whether they feel enough or care enough to take care of their guests to offer at the very least, hot tea or coffee in the morning? This is what I will do in the future, ask this basic question, breakfast or coffee in the morning? If they say no, I will take my business elsewhere and you should do the same I also do not like the hard floors as you hear nearby noises more easily. But that might just be the trend and I'm old school about carpeting. The room was really nice, but I left feeling unwelcome as they could care less about me leaving happy (with some caffeine) or just collecting my money. I actually couldn't wait to leave and find a coffee place that would gouge me on basic coffee. Remember amenities, when it was a thing? So, NO, I won't be back and will remember IHG and keep in mind how money oriented they are rather than serving their guests.
