    cockroach in the living room

HORRIBLE. Literally NEVER come here. infested with cockroaches! Our room was completely infested so someone came and sprayed our room which just made them come out more. In every single room of the condo and they didn't move us to a different room. when we asked for a refund/discount they didn't give us anything. Super over priced, trashed rooms with stains and breaks in walls, etc.

Workers removing tiles with a jackhammer at Lighthouse Condominiums. Unit 1202. (11/1/21 )

Lighthouse Condominiums in Gulf Shores. Unit 1202 (Stayed : 10/29/21 - 11/2/21) First night realized floors had not been cleaned , our feet were black from walking on floors. I called in the morning and they said they would send someone to mop. I really don't know if they did or not because we left to go to lunch and do some shopping at the outlets. I didn't see any difference once we returned. About that time we noticed a smell, seemed like it could be from the kitchen cabinet under the sink. We figured it was just a damp smell, by our last day there is was horrible! Now the final straw.... We woke up on our 3rd full day there (also our last full day) to a jackhammer outside of our front door on the balcony. Later there was another jackhammer above the living room too. It went on all day! It was so loud we couldn't hear each other talking unless we screamed. Couldn't hear the tv either. We left for dinner about 4:00 and the jackhammers were still going strong. We did arrive back at 6:30 to peace and quiet. Too little too late. I called Liquid Life Rentals who we rented through. Not much help, just some excuses. Saying this was repairs from Hurricane Sally which had happened about a year ago, it was tiles being torn up for renovations not hurricane damage! This condo unit should not have been rented out during this time, complete greed on the part of the owners. I will never book through Liquid Life again or at Lighthouse Condos.

Very nice condos on the beach. Minimal extras, great parking, fast elevators. The beach is groomed every morning. Condo is in a great spot where there isn't too much public traffic on the beach.

Stay was perfect. Stayed in the penthouse for a week over Fourth of July, and our whole family is begging to go back. Can't wait!

My review us based only on the complex. I didn't want to review our condo as that is different. We've been coming to the beach for years and this is seriously the cleanest place we've stayed. I can't stress this enough. The pool area is super clean, the walkway to the beach, the elevators, the parking lot, even the walk ways. I'm a clean freak and I am super pleased with how clean it is. No trash laying around at all. The grilling area is also super clean and the grills are in great condition. The pool hasn't been busy at all. Although they do have 2 outdoor and 1 indoor pool si that helps. Parking is not too bad. There are two levels that are covered. If strongly consider this place to anyone.

Stayed in condo 812. House keeping doesn't clean under anything. Nice view of he gulf from a decent size balcony. Lower level parking is dangerous, be prepared for some dings on your vehicle. The air condition quit working twice, the refrigerator didn't keep anything cool and the dryer did not work. The location was good.

Stayed here in May 2015. Clean, on beach, beach is kept clean and the beach staff is fast and efficient. Like t he beach here because goes straight to gulf while others have an incline. Indoor pool available, outdoor pools one deeper one kiddie pool. All condos face gulf and have ample sized balconies. Plenty of covered parking.

First they had two really nice outdoor pools that were heated along with an indoor pool.

We were all excited because in the past all the condos have been awesome, but this one was a let down. We walked in with a few groceries, opened the fridge and we were about knocked down with the smell of spoiled seafood! I went down stairs to the check in counter to complain, and the fella was very helpful trying to get the issue fixed. He called the supervisor of the cleaning company and that man started hollering at him over the phone about what all I had complained about. The fella then gave me the phone to explain what wall I was saying, the cleaning supervisor then said that everything was inspected and it was fine. I told him to come and look and smell. He agreed in sending someone but nothing changed for the 5 night/6 days we were there. Phoenix Orange Beach #401, lacked in cleaning as well. The kitchen had nothing but small "glass" glasses to drink out of and with kids ages 3-16, 4 of them being 10 and under plastic glasses would have been much safer. The beds were comfortable, slept well but the rooms that had views to the outside only had sheer curtains and didn't block the early morning sun. The decor wasn't like the the other condos that we have stayed in in the past. The outdoor pool was extremely small to accommodate the guests. The laundry area about knocked me for a loop, you'll see in the pictures I post. The walk to the beach was just a little short jaunt which was great! That's probably the best thing about this property! Oh and the ice machine on this property is $5.00 a bag!

I can't speak for all the rooms because I did see some news that had new furniture. I can speak for…read morethe room we stayed it. The outside looks better than the inside. The interior was honestly creepy. (I'll post a video.) For paying $880 for 3 days, I expected a little better. I wouldn't consider this a low budget stay at that price. If your only priority is easy beach access and you don't care much about the condition or appearance of the room, then this may work for you. What I'd recommend bringing if staying: Bathroom * Large bath towels * Washcloths/face towels * A bath mat for outside the tub * Extra toilet paper Kitchen * Extra dish soap or dishwasher pods if you plan to cook, because you're expected to wash your dishes. * A few extra trash bags since you're required to take the trash out at checkout. I also recommend washing the bedding and bringing plenty of laundry detergent. Our room had a strong, unpleasant odor that reminded me of a house that hadn't been properly maintained. If you like a clean, fresh-smelling room, bring air freshener or plug-ins. The bed was my least favorite, convenient for storing suitcases underneath. The pillows were flat and were the worst I've ever slept on, so I'd definitely bring your own. The condo does have a full kitchen, washer and dryer, dishes, and beach access, which are the biggest positives. About 36 rooms faces the beach, but many of the other rooms are interior-facing. If you're looking for a romantic getaway or a true beach-view room, I wouldn't recommend this property. It was advertised as having an ocean view, but our room did not have one. I saw only two elevators for a three-story building, and they were extremely slow. The room was outdated, the furniture was outdated, and even all three lamps were different. The electrical outlets were so worn out that plugs would fall right out. Limited plugs int he room but did have a surge protector. The bathroom only had four very thin, dingy bath towels and a few worn washcloths, so I highly recommend bringing your own towels or buying some. The $35 parking fee was also ridiculous for paying guests. Overall, We made the best of it because we came to enjoy the beach, but the room itself irritated my soul. Between the smell, outdated condition, , uncomfortable bed, and extra fees, I would not stay here again. The inside look and feel scary. like you're about to be incarcerated or a mental institution not vacationing. If beach access is all you care about, you'll be fine. But if you're expecting a cozy, relaxing condo for what they charge, prepare to be disappointed unless you get a better room than we had.

We stayed at Sugar Beach Condos unit 245. The best part was being able to walk out to the beach…read morefrom our room and it was clean, but the place is very outdated. I was afraid to make coffee due to the coffee maker being rusted, toaster was worn, couch looked as if it was 10+ years old, beds were very small and uncomfortable, linen was thin, and the bathrooms entirely too small. In the "primary room" the closet was bigger than the bathroom and the smell is very musty but could be because of the age of the building. Also the iron needs to be thrown in the garbage. The iron shake and is a fire hazard. Staying next door at the Phoenix next time.
