The person who hit me offered to pay my repairs cash, so I went around my area and got quotes from 3 shops near me. Kings of Body quoted me the best price. On top of that, they were extremely patient, kind, understanding, and reassuring. Being a young girl and finding car help on my own, it can be really daunting to figure things out and trust that my best interest is being looked out for. Sev (who I believe is the manager) was so extremely kind and caring in helping me resolve my car issues. He even kept me updated from his personal phone for when the parts came in and when the repairs were about to be done. I really felt that I could trust him, and for that, I would recommend him to anyone who needs work done on their car. To top it all off, my repairs were made super quickly. I dropped off Saturday morning and my car was ready by Monday afternoon. AND, they were even so very kind to buff out a few paint marks from various minor things I'd apparently hit lol. Unfortunately, I wasn't in town to bring it right away, and had to bring it back to the shop about 2 weeks later . (Still leaking btw) they said it was the "gasKeT" and I would have to pay another $48 to get this repaired. They said I should have brought it the day after i got the oil changed. Later after all the back and forth they offered to cover the costs for labor ,but I would have to pay for the part. Which was $3. I did not expect for them to charge me at all considering i had returned literally about 2 weeks later. (And called them over the phone twice to advise what was going on" They said i was "taking advantage" and told me god was watching. They said there was no way of knowing the part was damaged or defective . In my opinion they should have checked the gasket while doing the oil change . I ended up paying $10 which I didn't feel was fair but; at least they could pay off their $3 part they replaced. Next day after the lecture and "repair" ITS LEAKING AGAIN! haaaahahah now I have to go to the dealer and figure out what they broke on my car. I'm glad I didn't pay the $48 the second time around considering I came in with a car that was perfectly fine and left with a leaking car . THANK YOU LA TIRES AND AUTO BODY SHOP !!! :) I've spent $120 total for oil, filter, labor, a "gasket" and now I have a car with a bigger problem and NO OIL . DO NOT GO HERE !

I haven't done a full exterior house paint job before so I made sure to get at least one other quote. Buddy Paint's estimate was about 20% higher, but I still decided to go with Buddy's because of the 5-Year material & labor warranty (the other company did not offer any warranty) and the feedback from the customer I spoke to. I also felt like Robert would take care of us. The crew was friendly and efficient. They prepped the home well. Robert was responsive when we told him of a few spots that needed extra attention. There was one issue (accidental damage) that I wish would have been proactively handled. But Robert worked with me to resolve to our satisfaction. Overall, we love the new look of of our home. Our neighbors complimented the work. The crew did an excellent job and had great attention to detail. Robert was a great with communication and follow through. Fred helped me out - he was very friendly and non-intimidating (great for a gal going to an auto shop by herself!) He explained that Tesla tires have some foam, so patching the tire for the nail he found would be $50. It was nice he took the time to explain why it was a certain cost, def appreciated. They have a really nice waiting area with seating + strong AC (it was a hot summer day in LA), I was really impressed. Paid by cash because there's a small fee for credit card. 100% recommend this spot - friendly and service was quick. I was in and out fasttt!

I used to solely go to Phoenix for work that needed to be done on my car. Not too long ago I took in for an issue with my coolant leaking (3rd time in my car's life this issue occurred). They said they fixed the issue within a couple of hours and I picked up the car. I noticed that it still was overheating the next day so I took it back. Igor, the owner, was no longer there the next day so one of his mechanics, I think Alex, took a look at what was wrong. He glanced at my issue, topped me off with coolant and told me that I had too many issues (coolant leak, oil leak, old tires, and alignment needing to be done) and that it wouldnt make sense for me to keep paying to have this car worked on--essentially that I should sell my car, a 2003 model with ~120000 miles that never had an accident or serious issues. Being completely disappointed with being told such things by a mechanic, I decided to have a mechanic friend give me a second opinion. I must note at this point of the review that my car had NEVER been serviced by anyone other than Phoenix, except when it was new and covered by the dealership 12 years ago. My friend and I ended up taking my car to the Los Angeles Technical Trade College, where students learn how to be a proper mechanic and work on cars for free, as long as you provide the replacement parts. The students began to work on my coolant issue and they fixed it after a half-day's work. First issue we found when taking off one of the plastic covers when my car was raised on a lift, beneath the hood, so they could get to the necessary parts. Well when they took the cover off, we noticed half of the fasteners were missing and instead replaced with zip-ties. What was the coolant problem? My old water pump had internal issues, causing coolant to leak out. When changing water pumps, it is also recommended that you change out the thermostat, so that's what we did. However, when they removed my old thermostat, all they found was the housing for the thermostat, with the actual thermostat unit completely missing. That's right, Phoenix had let me drive around for who knows how long without an integral part of my cooling system! Not to mention having charged me for the work on the coolant issue, when clearly no work had been done. I wouldn't trust these non-professionals to do any work on any car outside of things like oil changes and tire alignment. I am so grateful for this place. As a female, it infuriates me to get taken advantage of by mechanics. A couple of my guy friends turned me onto Phoenix Auto body and this is the second time I have taken my car to them. Recently I was in a bind as my car broke down after I took it to firestone. When I brought it back there they told me I would have to spend $1300 to fix my timing belt but that they would have to replace the whole system. I felt doomed as I had just spent over $500 there on what they thought was the problem before. I was considering maybe my car was a loss. They weren't giving me any other options. So I had my car towed to Phoenix because my friend insisted these guys wont screw me over and I'm so grateful that I listened. They fixed my timing belt, my water pump, flushed my radiator, and went above and beyond and even fixed a few little things that they saw needed to be done, and didn't charge me extra. It's the small things like that which speak volumes. They assured me they would fix only what was broken and not try to make me pay for stuff that doesn't need to be replaced like firestone was trying to do. In the end, they gave me a hell of a deal, and it was less the half the amount firestone was quoting me. I will never go anywhere else. These guys have a customer for life and I will tell everyone I know to go to them. THANK YOU PHOENIX AUTO BODY! You guys rule! read more

I had an accident and was kind of worried where to take my vehicle to. I have 2009 5 series BMW. Someone referred me to Phoenix Auto Body, on Beverly and Hayworth. Right at the very beginning I liked Russian guys (owners Alex & Igor). They knew exactly what to do: they helped me to arrange Enterprise immediately, explained the process of repairs, made me feel important and welcome. I felt pretty good that my car in really good hands! Insurance Co. estimate was over $8000, and the quality of repairs was even higher! Not a big place, but all the crew is very professional and nice! The repairs process took a little bit longer than they said, but I have no regrets. Thanks to my 21st. Century insurance Co. the rental car was covered fully. Anyway, I highly recommend this body shop. Don't want to see them often, but if anything I know where to go))) read more

As an attorney practicing for over 35 years, I have a variety of choices, including places my clients have used as well newer facilities offering spacious accommodations and other benefits. I am yet to find a match to the same consistency of excellent results and commitment to car owner's satisfaction as provided by Igor and Alex, the Phoenix team operating from a tiny and crowded facility. Phoenix Auto Repair is the main facility I recommend to my clients without fear of criticism or repercussions of delays, untrustworthiness or other complaints. The reasons are simple, but their formula is not. It is the consistently high quality of their work, fairness in pricing and the hard wired attitude that "customer always comes first." read more

I came here to fix my E-36 BMW M3 engine mounts. Igor had my part ordered ASAP and it was there within an hour. They finished the job in a timely manner and charged half of what any other body shop would have charged me for the job. I was happy with their service and my car is running smoothly. He immediately went into help mode and checked the battery informing me it was at 87% so not that. Then he connected my car and ran a diagnostic. No codes came up. He didn't see anything wrong. Started the car multiple times with no issue. Said the starter may be going out but didn't want to guess because it could be something else and didnt want to waste my money. Another guy came up while John was checking under the hood. He sent him to look my car up to check if there were any recalls, which I was happy to find out that there weren't. John told me to bring the car back if it happens again. I asked him how much I owed him, fulling expecting to be charged for his time and service as I have had to pay Meidas $200 to run a diagnostic before. He said "No charge."I was so happy that I gave him a hug! Super nice guys. They were professional, clean cut, KIND, generous with their time, and seemed to me to be very honest. There were already several people waiting patiently for John as I got in my car and drove away. Great experience! Will definitely use them again in the future! Thank you SO much!!!

The cars were still there, no one hurt, and there was debris on the road that a guy with a big broom was clearing away as I waited to turn right. I watched him clear the street and thought, well, looks like he got everything, and proceeded to turn and drive over what I assume was a sharp piece of car left on the pavement. Was this smart? No. Was it lazy? Yes. Would I have saved an hour and just under $400 by turning right on a different street? Yes. But hindsight is 20/20, as they say, and at least I was able to limp to Pinky's Automotive with one of my tires flapping dead. Pinky's was great. They were super nice and super fast, and if they pulled anything funny on me, they did a great job of hiding it. They checked my tire first to make sure it couldn't just be patched (I suspected not, as I've gotten that kind of flat before, and it didn't make my tire pressure drop to zero in minutes while the air spewed out with an audible whoosh). Then they found the exact tire I needed and gave me a price, separating out the cost of the tire and labor. It seemed fair (the labor cost was $55, and I would/could not change my own tire for $55), and my car was ready for pickup hours later. I was impressed with Pinky's and would recommend it for your automotive needs, especially if you find yourself with an undriveable car in Hancock Park. Friendly, quick, and hassle-free, basically all I needed them to be on a stupid day.
