Very disappointed with this auto repair shop. I brought in my car for repairs -- it was fully drivable. They promised to fix it within two weeks, but ended up keeping it for almost a month without even touching it. Turns out they couldn't get payment from the insurance company on time, so they just let the car sit there. The rental car provided by the insurance company expired, and I had to pick up my own car -- but they refused to release it until I paid $1000. I was forced to pay because I needed the car for work. I never went back to them, as I completely lost trust. I do not recommend this shop to anyone. Unprofessional and disrespectful to customers. read more

This shop was recommended by a family friend, and even though it's a bit of a drive for me, this will be my first choice for auto repairs in the LA area. As others have said, Igor is a reliable and "no-BS" guy who will tell it to you like it is and quote you very reasonably for the repair. I've had two repairs done at this shop and both times my experience has been largely stress-free and the results were good as new. I came in to get my bumper replaced and the service was quick (3 days), on-schedule, and looked amazing after it was done. They even managed to buff off this nasty large scratch that was on the head of my car, as well as changed my oil, with no added expense. Additional problems with the work done on my car here. They "replaced" my engine mounts and the loud noise went away for about six months. It's back and worse than ever. The work done at this place is about as good as a five year old could do. These scheisters only take cash and do not pay proper taxes. Avoid this awful place at all costs. Destroyed my car. My papa's friend owns this auto body. I stupidly smashed my side mirror into a bunch of trash cans lining the sidewalk one spacey night, and he gave me 25% off on a new mirror. SCORE! He and the guys who work for him are a group of hard-working Russian men who love what they do. They get their work done quickly, and they don't rip you off. My family comes here all the time for little and big fixtures: changing oil, fixing lights and mirrors and breaks, and getting a one-over for smog checks. They worked fast and I'm pleased with the paint color match, but the administrative stuff was a nightmare. They called me 4 months after a service about paying for a rental car that they approved to proxy pay for me. I was involved in an accident and the other party was paying cash to repair my car and cover the costs of a rental car. Phoenix arranged to pay Enterprise directly and the other party was going to reimburse Phoenix. Everything seemed easy at the time, but then 4 months later, Phoenix staff had amnesia and then I was charged by Enterprise. Pretty disappointing and unhelpful staff and management. read more

This review is about Good Karma, and from my experience today I can tell you California Phoenix Auto Craft and Body has very good karma. Here's the story: I had parked my Prius across Beverly Blvd on the side street, Hayworth, so I could drop off donations at Goodwill. When I went back to my car, it would not start. This is due to a dying battery that I havent had the $ to replace. (05 Prius) I walked to the Automotive place on the corner and asked the guys in the front shop for a jump. These guys are NOT Phoenix Auto Craft, they are another business that shares the corner lot. Those crooks told me they would have to charge me $50 bucks to jumpstart my car. He dropped it down to $45, as if he was doing me some great favor. Mind you the portable jump unit was within arms reach and they were not busy, other than eating lunch. FIFTY BUCKS!!!!!! So I walked away, and then realized that Phoenix is a separate shop. I went to their office and explained my situation and RIGHT AWAY the gentleman, IGOR, got someone to help me. In fact it was a customer, who was super nice, it took less than five minutes and No One charged me a dime! As soon as my car was running I drove right back to Phoenix and shook Igor's hand and said thank you thank you thank you!!! Purely nice guys. Dont know the name of the front shop, but those guys are CROOKS. PHOENIX GUYS WERE VERY NICE and did me a very needed favor. That should be worth something in this crazy world.
