I took my car there this morning for the first time, as this place was highly recommended in a local community Facebook group that I'm in. and this is my honest review: They were fantastic! My car suddenly wouldn't start last week. I had no idea what was wrong. Tried it multiple times over a few days without success, so I finally got up early before street cleaning today and tried to start it once more before calling the tow truck. However, it started! ‍ I took it anyways and when I pulled in, a friendly mechanic named John quickly came out of the office to ask how he can help. I told him the issue I was having. He immediately went into help mode and checked the battery informing me it was at 87% so not that. Then he connected my car and ran a diagnostic. No codes came up. He didn't see anything wrong. Started the car multiple times with no issue. Said the starter may be going out but didn't want to guess because it could be something else and didnt want to waste my money. Another guy came up while John was checking under the hood. He sent him to look my car up to check if there were any recalls, which I was happy to find out that there weren't. John told me to bring the car back if it happens again. I asked him how much I owed him, fulling expecting to be charged for his time and service as I have had to pay Meidas $200 to run a diagnostic before. He said "No charge."I was so happy that I gave him a hug! Super nice guys. They were professional, clean cut, KIND, generous with their time, and seemed to me to be very honest. When I walked in, John greeted me with a smile and a firm handshake. He took the time to listen to my explanation of what I thought was happening with my truck and then spent more than 30 minutes diagnosing the engine and found the problem. After making several suggestions on what the best options for the repair work would be, he also advised me on some simple upgrades that would save me money for the long term use of my truck. Got dispatched by Tesla Roadside to help with my disabled Model Y near LAX after dropping a friend off all the way from the Inland Empire. I'm so bad with names, my tow driver Jose(?) (Totally slipped my mind many apologies) was nothing but cordial and accommodating and just exulted customer service. Gave me reassurance the entire ordeal and made sure I was properly taken cared of at the Tesla Centinela service center early in the morning after an overnight in my car. (Didn't want to get towed at midnight and get stuck at a closed service center all night next to no convenience stores). rip off and fake service. went for ac issues and they charged me $180 for a refill of the freeze gas recharge. but i asked them to see if any vsisual leaks and after 45min told me they didnt see anything but refilled the gas and told me to comeback if my ac blows warm air again. 5 months later it ac blows warm alr and decided to goto another shop and for just an ac gas refill again and they said $60 which is standard from shops that i found out later and soon as they opened my car hood they saw the ac hose was leaking as the hose was all wet. pretty obvious those community auto mechanics had no idea what a wet ac hose is or just lied so i can keep coming back for endless refills at $180 read more

Can't even trust the good help! Very disappointed to discover the "new" Goodyear tire sold to me last May to replace my pothole blown tire was a 2019 used Goodyear tire that was silicon sealed to my rim. I went back a few months later with psi leak concerns and John said tires just sometimes do that and my psi was fine. The quick fix didn't even last a year, so thanks, John, for being more concerned with getting my car back on the road than fitting me with a correct new tire. read more

I hate leaving negative reviews however this is a must. I got a flat in my car at 7:45 pm, in a parking lot of a 24 hour pharmacy. My roadside assistance called them. When they contacted I told the driver I was in a pharmacy parking lot getting prescriptions. When he arrived he told me I had to drive my car to the main street because he would not drive his flat bed in to the large parking lot. So I reluctantly did as he asked slowly hoping not to damage my rim on my tire. When I got behind his flatbed he said he needed to drive my car on the flat bed. I noticed he didnt have a mask on him. I assumed it was inside his truck. I asked him if he could wear a mask in my car. He laughed said he didn't wear a mask. I told him, i did chemo last night and i needed him to wear a mask, he laughed and said I would have to wait another 90 minutes. Then he left. I called the road side assistance back. They contacted the driver who lied and said he was still there. He had been long gone by now. When road side assistance said they requested another driver from the same company, tow company, I decided to be proactive. I called the dispatcher of the company to make sure who ever came would understand my plight and would be mask ready . He laughed said, "no one there uses a mask, it is too hard to drive with it." I explained to him the situation and he said no one there wears a mask and everyone was going to get this virus and I needed to get it. I told him that because I just did chemotherapy last night, their driver ciyld get me sick and kill me. Thats when he said no one would be picking me up from their company. Be careful out there everyone. I called my road side assistance center again and they found me another company that was very happy to have a driver who would wear a mask in my car. Updating my review for Community Auto, they are still the best around! Community Auto has done lots of work for my little car over the years, everything from big repairs to oil changes/wheel alignment. I found them totally by chance a few years ago when my car broke down and they were the recommended Triple A repair shop. I am super grateful to John and his team for all the quality work they've done. While I moved out of the area, I only live a couple hours away and took my car in a few weeks ago for some repairs on the suspension. I totally trust John and his team with my car to repair it quickly and at a great price - less than what I was quoted at a big box store to do the same repairs. John was very nice to fit me in on a Saturday to accommodate my schedule and turned the repair around in the same day. One thing I always appreciate too is that they give me an honest breakdown about what needs to be done and how to best care for my little high-mileage car. Brought my car in to get after market headlights wired, they were wired into the wrong spot. Asked to have bulbs changed into whiter ones and had the exact same ones put in, but placed half way so one of the bulbs was sitting right on the housing and melted into it. Every time I've ever called and came in, I've always received super friendly service from John and the team there. Plus they have an office cat!
