Beware! Jeff and his team stole $1800 from me. Never in my life have I dealt with such a criminal organization of dishonest people. On the scheduled day of installation, no one showed up. When I called to inquire, I was told the price had now gone up. I requested a refund of my deposit, which was verbally agreed to. Later, no deposit was refunded and when I followed up, Jeff called me to yell at me and harass me. But he offered a $1300 refund, which I never received. I then filed a complaint with my credit card company, but Jeff wrote that he had indeed installed a fence! What a bold lie. So I never got my money back. read more

I can't say enough positive things about my experience with Phoenix. If you're looking for a quality fence at a reasonable price look no further. Jeff and Karen were incredible to work with. We had 5 different companies come out for quotes and Jeff's thorough, no-nonsense explanation of fence types and prices made it an easy choice. When we decided to switch a portion of the fence from picket to picket w/ cap-board, I called Karen expecting the quote to be more expensive but she and Jeff said they could do it for the same price. Despite being told it was a two week wait, I got a call from Karen that they could install it the same week. Both Jeff and Karen are extremely professional and their communication made the project a stress-free, enjoyable experience. The workers, who were all brothers, were incredible. I was shocked by the speed with which they tore down the old chainlink fence, which was installed 60 years ago and had literally grown through the trunk of two trees. They methodically installed the new 218 square foot fence in one day, making sure everything was done properly. When the job was done, one worker insisted on grabbing a tool and coming back an hour later to remove a very stubborn old fence post. This level of detail and craftsmanship is hard to find nowadays. I recently adopted another old yellow lab, and she immediately found the hole in my back yard chain link fence. So I called Jeff Rogers of Phoenix Fence & Deck. Since I was only repairing a 50 ft section, I didn't get multiple estimates, but Jeff's seemed reasonable. One person did the work today ( in cold weather!) in under 2 hours. The outcome is great! Fence looks very neat, and the installer removed an old beat up gate, several posts and a length of old fence that was lying on the ground. New posts were installed in cement. After a tree in our backyard fell and decimated our fence, it was time to get some estimates for the fix. Since I too live in Brookeville, a Google search brought me to Phoenix, and I gave them a call. I spoke with the lady that answers their phone, and set a meeting for 10:00am on Monday, March 18th for Jeff to come to my house. I stayed home from work for this, mind you. 10am... 10:15am... 10:30am... 10:45am... No Jeff, no phone call. So I called back and spoke with the lady that scheduled the appointment. She said that "Cindy [My Last Name]" called her to cancel the appointment. There is no such person as Cindy R, and I had not called to cancel, so obviously I was disappointed. I told her I was not interested in rescheduling, and pursued other estimates. Fast forward to a few weeks later, my wife and I decided to give them another chance. My wife called on Wednesday, April 3rd and spoke with the same lady, and scheduled a meeting with Jeff for today, April 5th at 2:00pm. At 3:15pm, my wife texts me to let me know that, once again, Jeff was a no-show. I called Phoenix and spoke with the lady again, and she had no record of my appointment, despite my wife setting the appointment with her just two days ago! This repeat failure to keep their appointments is unacceptable, and I think it goes without saying that I will not be doing business with this company. read more

They did a very good job with our relatively small job (removing and replacing 100 feet of fencing and 2 old gates). Within a week of my initial call to them, Jeff came out in person to give us a free estimate. The proposal included items that were added options/upgrades with other contractors we got quotes from, like dry-packed posts. Jeff was up front with us about the advantages of the various options. On the day of the installation, the crew arrived on time, worked quickly, and built a quality fence. We bought a house that had a chain link fence in the backyard, but one that was installed when the house was built in the 60s and not particularly well maintained. He came out and was able to save most of the old posts and rails, saving us lots of money. The crew replaced the damaged posts and rails and installed all new chain, as well as a gate across our carport. They even spray-painted the existing posts and rails with Rustoleum so they look good as new. The dogs are very happy with their big yard to play in and we are very pleased with how it looks. These folks did a medium size privacy fence around my backyard. They just did a fantastic job and I will not hesitate to use them in the future. They are fairly priced and the quality was great. There is something about building from scratch, which is what they did, vs fencing panels that is noticeable. Very high quality and solid construction. The owner Jeff came to my home 2x to walk me thru options and couple issues. The team that showed up for the day were very professional and clearly highly skilled. They also obtained the permit - not dealing with govt red tape is really priceless! It was kind of tough to book them as they seem very busy but so glad I was patient and waited. I'm very glad that I found this company and hired them to install a 200-ft fence around my backyard. I contacted quite a few companies for my fence project, Phoenix stood out by far as the most professional and most reasonably priced contractor. The estimator they sent out (Rosco) was highly knowledgeable and courteous and provided a written quote immediately. Their price was competitive, and their work was high quality. Additionally, they knew the permitting process very well and were tremendously helpful in navigating me through it. A couple of other reviewers mentioned it was challenging to get hold of them. In my case, it did take a while to schedule my project with them. I'm still giving them 5 stars because, as I learned from dealing with many other types of contractors, there is always a trade-off between quality, cost, and speed--you can pick a maximum of two out of the three.
