Wanted pho and this was the closest at the time. I was skeptical since it was in the mall but decided to give it a try anyways. My intuition was right despite reading reviews that praised the stall. It's not uncommon to hear inflation nowadays but the price of pho here was all the way up. The veggies that usually come on the side were missing and the essential condiments were no where in sight. If prices are surged due to location, I would at least expect the standard if not better to keep people coming back for more. Pho in the mall's food court is not common and yet there was no line compared to Japanese hibachi next to it which indicates to me that the taste department is lacking. It was a pleasant surprise to have a Pho option in the mall. I saw someone in the food court with the bowl and asked where it was located. The Pho and the sauces were absolutley tasty. I would have never thought such a great Pho spot would be tucked away in a mall food court. I ordered egg rolls, and for $7 I thought they would be full size rolls. They were small spring rolls but they were so full of both pork and shrimp. Everything tasted great and I am making it a point to go back. I did not give it 5 stars because it was very hard to place my order. I asked questions and was unable to get any of them answered. I was oh that is till placed the order, because it tasted great. I also had to ask for the sauces and also for utensils, I assumed that it would come with my order. They do have Boba options, and lots of people waited for them. This is a cute little spot in the middle of the food court I really enjoyed my Vietnamese iced coffee by it's was like 8$ which is a lot but it makes me feel better knowing I'm helping out a small business and not a giant corp like Starbucks or something lol. And it's so delicious for the coffee I really love it there were two cute Asian ladies working the store and they remind me of my mom lol awww. Inside the food court at Alamonte Mall, this is a solid location. They serve up a variety of pho options and my personal fave is the meatball. They have the broth ready to go but they don't at anything to it until you order. They have soda foundation options and bottled juices and water. They have sauces at the pickup side if you wish to add anything. I like the eel sauce! Staff here is friendly and quick. They are always nice and I'm never hungry for long! I am not sure why this place has so many negative reviews. I mean...it's mall food, it can't be put on the same scale as that of a restaurant. For what it is, I'd say it was very good and definitely a good quick fix for pho cravings while doing some shopping. I haven't been to the food court at Altamonte Mall in years. Today, I spotted the Pholicious kiosk and was very pleasantly surprised. It is not everyday that you could find a Vietnamese food joint in the middle of a mall. I ordered the seafood pho (large) and a Thai tea (regular). The people that were behind the counter weren't extra perky, but they were nice and polite. One of the girls asked if I like spicy and if I would like some lime with my pho. The Thai tea was sweeter than I expected, but I didn't mind it. The pho was pretty good for it being mall food. I liked that the broth was clear and not greasy. It did not leave me feeling like I'm dying of thirst afterwards and that is always a good sign. There was a decent amount of fish balls and shrimp in my pho. The veggies tasted fresh and were plentiful. Obviously if you compare this to a real Vietnamese restaurant, it would not surpass. However, considering that they don't have a full kitchen, and literally being behind a counter in the middle of a mall, I think Pholicious was pretty delicious. Was a good quick pho fix before I picked up my order from Torrid. This is inside the Altamonte Mall and because I live so close to the mall, I'll probably be back! I got a small chicken pho and I enjoyed it. The chicken itself was just ok but the broth was tasty. I was surprised they didn't offer jalapeños with the pho but I didn't bother asking because I'm not really supposed to be eating them right now anyway lol. Everything was fresh and authentic tasting. Is this the highly seasoned Vietnamese food you find on Coloniel Drive in downtown Orlando, not exactly. I really love Pho. I don't know what it is, but it's the purest meal that fills me up & that for whatever reason I crave equally during the summer & winter. What prevents me from making it at home is the lengthy process of the stock. I know this is in a mall food court & it's fast food - but this should be simple if you have a good base. The stock is greasy - it leaves a film on your lips that's not pleasant. The fish balls were cold somehow in warm stock. The smell had the aromatics right - but the taste has to match. I also didn't really understand why they had to premix the pho beforehand- you could have put the Thai basil, sprouts, lime, & jalapeño to the side - that's what I love the best about pho was that I could add as needed. We also had summer rolls - first that texture wise was chewy & to the point of being difficult to bite through - filled to the brim with rice noodles as a filler (not good) and had the appearance of having a whole shrimp - because the wrap skin was clear - It had a shrimp sliced in half for appearances. So shady! I had such high hopes because there is a great Ispice is so great & I wanted so desperately to have an alternative to the stereotypical fast food Chinese - and this is so disappointing. Pholicious is an indoor kiosk restaurant located at the food court entrance of the Altamonte Springs Mall. It's important to note that I only tried Boba tea at this establishment and I cannot comment on the food. Pholicious offers Boba in tea and smoothie forms. The Boba fruit tea with popping pearls I ordered was not the consistency I am accustomed to with Boba teas; it is a thick and strong fruit flavor which may be an interesting change for some Boba fans who are looking for something different than the usual refreshment, but unfortunately I didn't care for the textures in the drink. One staff member was working on the day of my visit and she was extremely kind. There was a slight language barrier that caused the ordering process to be lengthy given the one-drink order but the tea was presented exactly as ordered. The Pholicious kiosk is open to customer view so you can see everything as it is being prepared which I enjoyed. Overall, an OK experience due to my level of enjoyment of the beverage. Average prices so I don't expect perfection. The taro milk smoothie is my absolute go to And I would say besides the inconsistency with the boba they make it is very good. Some days their boba comes out too soft. I have had their rice paper rolls and their peanut sauce is good! Overall if I could give this a half star it would be about 3.5. I visited this place for the first time, it was horrible. I ordered a milk tea with Boba it was the worst tea I have ever tried. The Boba was soggy and the tea's flavor was way too strong. I told the girl at the counter that I did not like it and she refused to give a refund or switch out the tea for a new one,plus she had an attitude. I go to several different Boba tea places and they have excellent customer service. I will never come to this one again. Be careful if you go there because if you get something you dislike you're stuck with it and you will lose your money. Now I realize why there was no line and the place looked closed. I was looking for a similar drink to the one I got in San Diego all the time which wasn't too sweet and the girl recommended a strawberry milk tea. I asked for extra boba too-what I got was pretty much Strawberry Quick with about 10 boba pearls. It was so sugary I couldn't gag it down. I tried to at least scoop the boba out and they were super hard and chewy, not even close to the fresh and plumpy ones I am used to. The both has a greasy feel but I guess it's a fast food feel so it must have grease. Vietnames food is one of my favorites, and I was quite excited to try Pholicious. I was in the mood for some good ol' rice and protein, so I elected to try their grilled chicken with jasmine rice. Maybe I should have tried the Pho, since my choice left me disappointed. The chicken was OK, but I could have seen the cashier simply toss it in some sauce and pop it in the microwave. I really don't see how they could make fresh Pho (with its characteristic broth) without a full kitchen. I ordered a mango milk tea and it was so terrible myself nor my daughter could even sip it. I've tried their Pho a few times now and they are definitely a different option in the food court area... I mean how many times can someone have a cheese steak, bourbon chicken or pizza for lunch? And its usually the same choices at every food court, regardless of location. So Pholicious definitely provides a welcome change. And its almost on par with what you'll find in most Vietnamese restaurants in the Orlando area. Their broth is pretty good and is sometimes better than other Pho places. My only complaint is like my pho very hot and all of the Pholicious places I've tried only have a mildly warm broth. I'm not sure if its because they don't have a full blown kitchen... I mean they literally make you pho in the middle of the food court, I don't think they make it in a kitchen in the back and then carry it out you, although to some degree I wish they did. Okay, so when I first went to this place it was okay. Now that it is under new management, I love it. It's owned by an actual Vietnamese family. They grew up making Pho in their home, and some of the ingredients they grow in their own garden! (Like the basil, lemons, and cilantro.) The broth is made fresh, right in front of you, and they constantly change out their ingredients. They know how to make Pho the traditional Vietnamese way, which I LOVE. Their Boba smoothies are good too. I've never been a fan of tapioca Boba, but they're isn't bad. I loved the strawberry mango smoothie with the strawberry popping pearls. I've been going to this place for a while, and the new owners are always friendly. If you have a problem, they will fix asap and provide you great service. They like to know when they need to improve something, and they like to make their customers happy. I always leave this place with full and happy stomach.
