I had to pick up my latest hemmings and decided to venture into the mango habenero wings that Kai offers. Placed my to go order quickly and easily then made my moves. Walked in and was quickly acknowledged by the server who went to get my wings. He offered some other flavors which I may try out down the line. When I got home and bit into the first one, the crispy shell and the burst of the semi spiced up sauce got me excited. I was happy to be eating these at home because my spice level is not super tolerant and it was getting to me. Each bite was full of well cooked chicken, the tasty skin of the chicken and the sauce. I normally got for six pieces but I could have easily got for a whole ten today. It was devoured.

Kai is a hidden gem! It is a small spot, in a strip mall but the food is incredible. The menu is limited but everything is a 10/10! When available we always get the wings (soy garlic flavor), the drunken noodles with chicken and the garlic noodles with shrimp. I can't say which is my favorite because they are both so good. In a perfect world, maybe I would do the garlic noodle sauce on the drunken noodle pasta, but I've asked, and they won't let you do that (haha). The drunken noodles, like the actual pasta is some of the best noodles I have ever had. A thick, chewy noodle, cooked to perfection. If you haven't been, you must try this spot!

As a group of three, we decided to fuel up and share some dishes here. It's a smaller location with few seating, but we did come on a weekday where there was only one other small party so this wasn't an issue. The staff were very kind and helped us decide on what dishes to try. I appreciated how fast the service is here. We shared the cucumber ginger salad as an appetizer and it tasted so fresh with the zing of ginger! I liked the crunchy texture of the cucumber. The Vietnamese garlic noodles were truly spectacular. There's a rich garlic and soy flavor that is present and clings to the noodles. The noodles also had a nice bounce and did not feel soggy or overcooked. The clay pot, which comes with rice, baby bok choy, and Korean grilled chicken kept us coming back for more. I really liked how well-seasoned the chicken was and it paired perfectly with the fresh steamed bok choy and rice. Overall, I recommend checking out this place and sharing a meal with loved ones!

Tonkotsu ramen. Good flavor, but a bit too salty.

The food was decwnt, but very small portions for the price. We ordered the spicy pork rice bowl and the tonkotsu ramen. The ramen was a bit on the salty end as well. We also were trying to order the cucumber ginger salad and clay pot curry, but they were out of both items. The reason for the clay pot curry was that they only had 3 clay pots total and they were all in use. I found the reasoning weird and wondered why they didn't just supply more clay pots to have in their inventory. The wait time for the entrees was also quite long. The server was friendly and apolegitic about the missing menu items. Overall, I don't think I'd visit again.

This review may sound like a joke, but Kai Asian Street Fare is seriously that good. One of our absolute favorite spots in Orlando. They've got the receipts, too: Michelin-rated in 2023 and 2025, plus multiple Orlando Sentinel Foodie Awards. Basically, Kai is the kid in school who wins every trophy but somehow you can't even be mad because they deserve it. We've eaten our way through a good chunk of the menu: Vietnamese and soy garlic wings (crispy perfection, would fight my own family for them) Tonkatsu ramen bowl (basically a warm hug with pork belly) Spam musubi rice bowl (sounds wrong, tastes so right) Garlic noodles (dangerously addictive) Karaage with kewpie mayo (never lasts long enough for leftovers) Clay pot chicken (flavor bomb) Fried tofu + steamed rice (even the "simple" stuff slaps) Service? Excellent. Staff? Attentive and friendly. Vibes? Let's just say desire to visit or move to Japan intensifies. Bottom line: Kai is a 10/10, no notes, five stars, would trade my car for another order of clay pot chicken.

A Flavorful Journey: Kai Asian Street Fare's Drunken Noodles If you're searching for a dish that perfectly encapsulates the bold, aromatic, and addictive flavors of Thai street food, look no further than the Drunken Noodles at Kai Asian Street Fare. This dish is a masterclass in balance--where fiery spice, umami depth, and fresh ingredients come together in perfect harmony. The moment the plate arrives, the intoxicating aroma and wok-fried goodness fills the air. The wide rice noodles are impeccably cooked--chewy yet tender, soaking up every ounce of the rich, savory sauce. Tossed with vibrant bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, and crisp vegetables, every bite delivers a satisfying contrast of textures. What truly sets these Drunken Noodles apart is their bold seasoning. The sauce, a luscious blend of soy, oyster sauce, and just the right amount of heat, clings to the noodles, ensuring each mouthful is packed with flavor. I chose chicken which was cooked to perfection, complementing the robust flavors without overpowering them. Kai Asian Street Fare has taken a beloved street food classic and turned it into a must-try experience. The Drunken Noodles are not just a meal--they're a vibrant, flavor-packed adventure that leaves you craving more. The Michelin was much deserved

The first time I came here was years ago when it was "Hot and New" and I was looking for a new place to check out. Though the menu has changed a bit, this place is still good! It's a small quaint space in a strip mall. There is a parking lot. The staff was friendly and efficient. We ordered spring rolls, legendary garlic noodles and the garlic soy chicken wings. Everything was as good as I remembered it being. The chicken wings were so flavorful and crispy on the outside. The spring rolls were not too oily as well as the noodles. This was a great rediscovery of this place and I'm looking forward to eating there again or grabbing some takeout from there in the future. Thinking about the wings is making me crave them again. I think next time I'd like to add a protein to the noodles. If you're not starving, these plates can be shareable, as evidenced by me and my friend sharing this meal :D

Japanese Curry w/ Katsu Pork and Rice

Korean fried wings were very good. Super crispy and even though the order only comes with 6 wings, they are very large wings. Japanese curry w/ katsu pork and rice was also delicious. The staff were very helpful as well. I would definitely recommend this place and we will be returning in the future.

Visiting a local foodie spot on our family food tour of Orlando. They have a very small menu but what they do have, they do very, very well. The wings are a must, super crunchy crust and a light soy garlic sauce. The lighter sauce was a great contrast to the hyper crunchy wings. We loved the garlic noodles with chicken and the wontons with lemongrass were a hit as well. Definitely a place to visit again for the other menu items. Give them a try, and get them wings!!!

Of course the food was amazing, but I also loved the friendly service and the 90's playlist while we ate! I'll definitely be back.

Absolutely INCREDIBLE! Best Thai food in Orlando. This is a must try for everyone in the Orlando area. The spring rolls are small but flavorful and fresh, a good starter that conveys the quality of the ingredients from the beginning. The Thai Drunken Noodles are a SHOWSTOPPER. Rich, satisfying, decadent. Portions are generous, ambiance is clean, tasteful and simple. Service is incredible and attentive.

Very nice place, cozy and small (just 6 tables and a counter. Steve was by himself serving and taking care of the place, super nice guy, came with his recommendations on the menu. I had the pork katsu with Japanese curry. Very flavorful, big portion, good price. I'll definitely be back to try other options.

Really enjoyed our first visit. The food was perfectly cooked! Well seasoned, fresh and very tasty. We ordered the dumplings with chili. I'd recommend the lemongrass because the chili was so intense it took over and numbed your mouth. The mains were so good. The drunken noodles- yes!!!! Got it with shrimp, and I'm so glad I did. My partner got the pork katsu and he loved it! Our waitress was super sweet, and did a great job! Small, intimate seating, but casual and relaxing. Would gladly return anytime!

We started with the crispy chicken dumplings--crispy on the outside with a juicy, tender chicken filling. Perfect way to kick things off. We continued with three items: Beef Stew (Bún Bò Kho), Orange Chicken, and Sautéed Cubed Beef "Shaking Beef" (Cơm Bò Lúc Lắc). The Beef Stew (Bún Bò Kho) was heaven on a dish. The beef stew was easily the standout--rich, flavorful, and the beef was so tender it practically melted in your mouth. The vermicelli noodles were just as impressive. Just reminiscing about it makes my mouth water. The "Shaking Beef" was served over white rice (highly recommend), and every bite was better than the last. The garlic butter sauce really takes it over the top. Don't be fooled by the Orange Chicken--Boneless chicken, fried perfectly and coated in their authentic sweet orange sauce. The best Orange Chicken in town, hands down. No chance of leftovers here--you won't want to put your fork down.

Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype at all. The broth was unbelievably bland--almost like flavored hot water. It lacked the rich, savory depth that's the heart of a good pho. I kept mixing the soup, hoping the flavor had just sunk to the bottom, but no. Worst $20 wasted ever. Maybe I caught them on an off day, but this was one of the most disappointing bowls of pho I've had, especially considering all the positive reviews.

This place stays busy, especially during lunch and dinner hours, so expect a little wait during peak times. The dining room can get packed and lively, but that just adds to the energy. The pho is the main draw. When the broth is on point, it's rich, aromatic, and deeply comforting -- exactly what you want in a solid bowl of phở. The portions are generous, noodles are cooked well, and the fresh herbs and bean sprouts round everything out nicely. Their combination pho is a safe choice, and the vermicelli bowls and rice plates are great alternatives if you're not in a soup mood. That said, the broth can sometimes be a little inconsistent in flavor. Some visits it's bold and perfectly balanced; other times it may lean lighter and need a bit of extra lime or sauce to adjust to your taste. I think any time you go to a restaurant that serves a type of ethnic cuisine, they focuses on the main or big dishes. For example, Vietnamese restaurants will always feature pho somehow and Cuban restaurants will always feature the Cuban sandwich in some capacity. However, street food or dishes that are small and meant for grab and go and sharing and to be affordable is not often featured at big sit down restaurants. The other thing is when street food is featured on a fancy sit down menu, the small plates and street food always cost more than it should in my opinion. Z Asian really surprised me in that I didn't think the prices were to unfair and it still felt elevated. They are a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant. We went here for a date night after watching Obsession. By the way, the movie is one of the best horror movies of this year in my opinion and I think a lot of people's opinion. We parked in the back lot as they don't really have a whole lot of street parking. That was confusing entering the restaurant since we entered from the back and it wasn't clear if the restaurant was open or if we walked in through the wrong door. We got seated fast and the waitress was really nice and engaging. We ordered banh khot, which is basically a mini banh xeo. Banh khot is an eggy crepe mixture that is panfried into a circle and a small amount of seafood is placed into the middle of it. It's small and finger food sized and served with pickled veggies and fresh lettuce and fish sauce to drizzle or dip. My rating is a 9.5/10. It was crispy and full of flavor. We also tried the mango tofu salad. It's similar to a ceviche. This was a 9/10. It has a little heat to it but very good and not too wet. We then ordered grilled mussels with is what it sounds like. It's mussels halves grilled with fish sauce and crushed peanuts sprinkled on top. I rate this a 8/10. I never see this in restaurants. On a good day, I can crush like 20 of these and call it girl dinner. We got the grilled corn as well. This is corn kernels grilled in butter and garlic topped with Sriracha. I rate this a 6.5/10. I think it's a good street dished but it underwhelmed me because it's just the corn and there wasn't a vehicle to deliver it to my mouth. The last item we tried was the grilled chicken rice noodles. This was a flavorful dish of veggies and chicken and rice noodles that are cooked in a pan. The rating is a 8.5/10. My overall rating is 9/10. They bill was on the higher end but I felt like it was worth the food we were eating the service and ambiance.
