I had a molar that my regular dentist initially said might not be salvageable, and I was advised to consider an extraction and implant. I saw another doctor about the implant, and he said, "if it was my tooth I would have a root canal and replace the crown." I then asked my dentist for a referal to get a consultation for the root canal, and that is how I ended up in Dr Quang's clinic. I was very impressed by Dr Quang's expertise, ethics, patience and understanding, communication and honesty, and finally her professionalism and extraordinary attention to detail. I had everything I needed to evaluate the risks and benefits of the treatment, and I knew exactly what was going on throughout the entire process. My treatment required a couple of visits, but this was because due to the thoroughness of Dr Quang's diagnosis and treatment procedure. First off Yeonsoo was so pleasant on the phone when I made the appointment, she was sweet and patient and kind. When I went for the appointment Edith greeted me and promptly provided sanitizer for my hands they were very careful and cautious in regards to hygiene and the office was very clean. Edith was kind and patient with all my crying and anxiety she was very professional. Dr.Quang was very nice and she put me at ease even in the midst of my crying anxiety over being at the dentist. She explained every step and had a non aggressive approach she gave me options and even referred me to an oral surgeon to fix my problem and they were able to see me today for my oral surgery today!!!!! Today was cause for so much anxiety but i ended up feeling more relieved and calm than when I arrived at her office. Wow! I can't say enough to express how lucky we were to get in to see Dr. Quang. Our son fractured his tooth in a basketball game on a Saturday morning. We were able to see our dentist, who called Dr. Quang. She agreed to meet us that day at 1:30. She was extremely kind, caring and professional. I am modifying my prior 5 star review because when I came in for a root canal, Dr. Quang told me my tooth could not saved and would have to be extracted. On the positive side, she did see me the same day and she cleaned the tooth, gave me antibiotics and put in a temporary filling, all of which she did well, and she was very nice, so I guess she earned 5 stars for that. However, I almost had a tooth pulled out of my head unnecessarily based on her assessment, so for that I am downgrading her to 2.5 stars. Today I had a root canal performed on that same tooth by another provider, and it went just fine. If she tells you she can't save your tooth, get a second opinion. read more

I was referred to Dr Quang by my dentist for root canal. I have no problem with her work. Her office sent me a billing of $40 after charging insurance/myself about $1400 for root canal. After 30 days the bill went to $65 which includes $25 penalty. I think charging $25 penalty on $40 is illegal per California law Which allows at most 18% interest. In my opinion that's plain greedy. Obviously I wouldn't be doing any business with her office. read more

This was the smoothest dental procedure I've ever had. From start to finish I was comfortable and painless. I am incredibly afraid of the dentist and any procedures regarding my teeth, so when I found out I had to get a root canal I was devastated. I was referred to Dr. Quang, because my son had some trauma on his teeth. He was at risk of possibly losing both of his front teeth, so it was a very worrisome and frustrating time, but Dr. Quang was patient and extremely knowledgeable. She knew the latest research in this field and calmly explained to me what she believed the best option was. She even took the time to have a conference call with my dentist and orthodontist, who were all involved with my son's terrible ordeal. I've had at least 5 root canals by 2 or 3 different endodontists so I have some perspective on what this procedure can be like to experience. After a worse-than-nightmare experience at Western Dental (that business should be shut down by Dept of Consumer Affairs for fraud, incompetence, and harassment), Dr. Quang's practice was a breath of fresh (and very professional) air. She performed a root canal today on one of my molars, on referral from my regular dentist (Willie Woo, DDS). Having lost a tooth in the past due to a delay in a root canal (which resulted in a $5,000 implant which would not have been necessary had there been no delay), I was really appreciative of Dr. Quang's willingness to do this procedure on me at such short notice. She was totally respectful of of my anxieties around delaying the procedure and the whole process could not have run any more smoothly (even the KOIT soundtrack was soothing LOL). She did a very thorough job and, while I don't think any root canal could ever be described as "pleasant", this was by far the least unpleasant root canal I've ever had.
